I typically don t trust auto repair shops due having little knowledge on cars and being a woman . But when I was recommended to take my vehicle to Dean s Auto Center the men were very friendly and stood on properly communicating and ensured every thing that was wrong with my car. Gave me a reasonable quote and fixed my repairs in a timely manner. Deans Auto Center you fellas helped me a lot and I will be back as a returning client.

I was referred to Deans as my daughter is a freshman at UK, new to the campus, and I don t have any established relationships in Lexington. Her car had a misfire and wasn t running very well if at all. She dropped her car off, I called and had a pleasant conversation. They called back with the estimate and I gave them the go ahead. They fixed her car quickly and when they said they were finished, I sent her there in an Uber. She called and told me that it was going to cost over $700 and they had quoted me approximately $400 but discovered several issues while fixing it. Friendly, quick service but I would have appreciated communication prior to.

These guys are the best. They thoroughly checked out my car and never charged me a dime. Gave me quote way below fair price after a lot of research. Their honest and from now on the only place I will go with my mechanical needs. Id give them 10 stars if I could.

Could not be more pleased with the responsiveness of the shop. Meticulously took their time to diagnose and fix the problem on my vehicle. Very competitive pricing. Very honest, friendly, reasonable. Would NEVER go elsewhere for my auto care needs! I've always had such positive experiences and it's so nice to have confidence & trust in the knowledge and honesty of Gary, who oversees his great mechanics. I've never felt his rates and outcomes of work completed are anything but the BEST of any maintenance or issues with my car. . I HIGHLY recommend Dean's Auto for any of your mechanical needs. I've had many bad experiences w/mechanics over the years, and it's so nice to have trust and leave my car in the hands of a fantastic, local business!

I can t say enough great things about Deans Auto Care! They were so fair on their prices very competitive and the greatest customer service ever! Gary the shop manager was a pleasure to work with! He was so friendly and great customer service and also very thorough and honest and I respect that wholeheartedly! He also took care of my mother and her car as well and she wouldn t go anywhere else! I recommend Deans Auto Care to everyone!Services: Tires, Tire rotations, Oil change

The guys at Deans know what they're doing! Very friendly and professional. I took my car in to be diagnosed and they were able to confirm AND repair same day. Gary was so helpful from the start! Very reasonably priced as well, I had them quote a few miscellaneous repairs for me while there. I'd recommend this establishment to anyone and everyone!

After taking my Hyundai into 5+ shops in this area, and being quoted $300-500 for a repair, Gary and his team quickly informed me that it was a WAY smaller repair needed than what I was told by others. He took great care of me, same day, and now I m good to go! I will be doing all my work with them from here on out. :)

Awesome group of mechanics! Very friendly and respectful. As a single woman, I m used to being taken advantage of by shops- but not anymore! Gary and his team took great care of me, and in a timely manner! I ll definitely be using them again for all my car needs.

Dean s was so helpful in diagnosing a faulty repair from another shop and graciously stored our trailer while the vehicle was getting repaired! (And also commiserated/let me vent about the diagnosis as well as offered helpful advice!) Recommended!

Such a good experience here. Had an extensive repair needed on our 2013 Equinox, and they did me right. Our second car broke down in the first repair process, and they helped us get both vehicles back on the road and cared for us well.This shop has excellent integrity, and with 100+ other shops in the city, I will not take my car to anyone else.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, Auto maintenance, Oil change

Great service, I always have trouble finding a mechanic I can truly trust, but when I took my car here, I didn't feel that sense of being fed bs. The service tech is very friendly, straight forward and doesn't try to up sale me. He gave me his recommendations at a very reasonable price and would even tell me if I can wait on the work or not. I know some things about cars, if you own enough and deal with the mechanics I have in the past you will force yourself to learn something's, so I know when a mechanic feeds you a loud of bull and honestly you don't get that here. You get those good ol honest boys here. Definitely recommend this place

Dean's Auto Care.... you can take trust that you will not be told work needed done and taken advantage of...not the case at Dean's you can rest assure pure total trust and honesty. Dean you should be so proud to have Gary and Josh at the helm, and your other mechanics working for you and doing the superb job for your clientele. I'm a satisfied customer....love love these guys ....HATS OFF YOUR THE BEST IN TOWN...FEELIN' BLESSED BECAUSE YOU ARE THE BEST !!! No more worries of being ripped off....thank you is not enough for this crew at Dean's Auto Care!!

These guys are too cool! I came in for an oil change.. which was only $22 btw.. out the door.. not only a great deal but they went above and beyond to inspect tons of other stuff.. at no charge!.. my cabin filter was nasty.. I prob wouldn t have checked it myself until who knows when.. and noticed I had no brake fluid in the reservoir so they pulled my car into another bay to see why.. now that s excellent customer service! I usually change my own oil but in this situation I needed a shop to do the work. For me it is hard to trust another person to do this... but I will say I trust these guys! If I am in this situation in the future I will not take my ride anywhere else and will recommend Deans to anyone I meet seeking any auto service! Thanks guys! I really appreciate everything!

My sister got a car from Deans 2 days ago. (3/31/22). Yesterday, the car completely broke down and will not start. I would NOT recommend them. They got her for 3500.00. Now, my sister with 5 kids is left with no vehicle and no money for a new one.

This place and Gary are great. Had a fuel leak and they got me in right away. Next day. Very good work. Fixed my problem immediately. Very reasonable and professional. I ll go back to them for any car repairs. Blessed to find this shop.

Bought a set tires I was assured thar they were 60k mile tires, paid over 450 dollars for them, were worn out with little over 20k on them, they wouldn't stand behind them bought a new set of good quality tires for 510 dollars( mischelin tires ) ,they also broke one of my tire sensors replaced it with aftermarket sensor not the factory one that I requested the tire light has been on and off since then again fell on deaf ears, would fecomend that they should not be allowed work on hot wheels car,they would probably screw that up too. Would advise that people steer clear if thi shop,I'm sure that I'm not the only one they screw overService: Auto tire replacement

I had a very unpleasant experience. I took my car for a tire alignment and ended up with a lot of problems in my car. There is a total disorder in the administration and abuse by the mechanic. The manager told me that he would charge me $ 80 dollars for the alignment and the mechanic charged me $ 150.00 per alignment arguing that he charges $ 80 for front alignment and $ 80 for rear alignment. after waiting 3 hours they gave me my car with a broken air pressure sensor (tps). I came back the next day to have it repaired and he made me wait 2 more hours, he said it was my fault and he would not fix it. try to talk to the manager without success. (I didn't know who he was) in the end he said he would fix it. After two weeks of going and waiting at least 2 to three hours, they ended up charging me for the pressure sensor, but not before yelling at me arguing that I broke the sensor. I paid $ 55 dollars for the sensor and in the end they gave me my car with main types of dashboard warning lights. again they argued that these problems already existed. I paid a total of $ 205 dollars to have a damaged car delivered to me, I ended up very upset and without 205 dollars in my pocket. be careful where you take your car for repair. I do not recommend this business.Services: Tires, Wheel alignment

I don't take my car anywhere else, besides Dean's Auto Care! The staff is always friendly and the owner Dean, and Son, Josh are sure to take upmost care of your vehicle. Not only do they have the best prices on pretty much any service you may need done, but the job is completed as quickly and professional as you would expect and prefer! 5 Stars from me!

Deans is a great place to get honest work done on your car. Any time he has ever checked/fixed one of my vehicles it s always done right and at a great price. The mechanics are very skilled and they don t gauge prices. They are honest and great at what they do.

This is my first car, that being the case I was nervous that I could potentially get ripped off. But with these people there is nothing of the sort! They are very reasonable, reliable and to the point! I will most definitely be returning partially because I own a Chevy Cruze( I know but its better than no car ) but also because the customer service is awesome!Service: General repairs & maintenance

If you want great work performed by professionals yet still affordable to all then this is the place for you. Brought my truck in and within no time Dean and his team had diagnosed the problem, provided an affordable solution and had me back out on the road as good as new. Highly recommend these guys for all auto repairs no job to big or too small.

First off this is going to be a long review, yet worth it. I in now way, shape, or form was coarsed into doing this review.I started my experience with Dean's Auto Shop about a year ago. I came in to get tires. My first impression of this shop was wonderful. It was clean, organized, and palatable visually. It definitely wasn't the run of the mill auto shop. As I sat in the waiting room, and soaked in the environment. They were respectful, professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate to every last person that called and came in. I've been burned my multiple "Auto Shops". Every military installation is surrounded by these wannabe mechanic shops that are no better than what they can find on YouTube. They temporarily fix a problem to get you to walk back through the door. I saw the oil change and alignment specials and thought that this may have been the same type of shop. But let me tell you I was wrong. This shop was fantastic. Fast forward 9 months. I have been deployed overseas for 8 months. Unfortunately my old lady isn't vehicle savvy. My truck was ran in the driveway for about 10 minutes a month. I had a slew of problems. When she picked me up from the airport my truck reaked of fuel. I took a look under the truck and it was pouring fuel. . . Great. Exactly what I wanted to see first thing I get home on R&R. Upset and frustrated, trying to figure out what I was going to do reluctantly a Dean's Auto Care business card fell into my lap from the visor. Very next morning I called Dean's and they had me come in. Dreading all of the problems and costs, they looked over my vehicle and figured things out. When Gary and Josh went through the run down on what repairs I needed, they were informative, respectful, honest, and open to every question I had. They not only reassured me but gave me the option and control on what I wanted done. Unlike most shops that will take you to the cleaners and pull the wool over your eyes to make a buck, they absolutely had my best interest in mind. I felt absolutely zero pressure. We worked through everything and they worked with me on repairs. As I sat down in the waiting room, I ease dropped into everything going on. Gary and Josh treated every last customer with respect and compassion. Their knowledge is absolutely second to none. They were informative, professional, courteous and gave the customers the absolute truth. Rather than throw parts at a vehicle, they actually diagnose and fix the problems. I can't speak highly enough of them. Now when it comes to working on the vehicle, Wes the shop foreman is absolutely good at what he does. He ensures things are done timely, properly, and absolutely zero corners are cut. They take care of your vehicle like their mothers were driving off in it. There's absolutely nothing these guys can't do. I can say that I am comforted knowing that when I leave again, if my old lady has car troubles, she will be in wonderdul hands. They're fair, affordable, and hands down the best in town. Dean's Auto Care doesn't just fix a problem, they give you peace of mind and comfort. They also give military and veteran discounts. I have not only had work done but I have made brothers for life. They have a family feeling vibe that you can't get anywhere else. Dean's Auto Care is hands down what every American business should be. I won't even buy a used vehicle without bringing it to these guys. Take a chance on Dean's. You won't be disappointed. They're the best shop in Kentucky and arguably the south. From start to finish you will be impressed and leave knowing you got quality work for a quality price. The experience is in the name "Dean's Auto CARE". In a time of a stressful and a chaotic world. This shop will at least put you at ease for a short while. Took my car here because of my new car (2017) overheating. They told me there was no leak where the antifreeze was coming from. Wanted a second opinion, so took to Ford company. They found a leak in the thermometer gasket and kept over the weekend to replace the parts, and re-pressurize the engine. Workers at Deans Auto were professional and timely.

At Deans Auto you will be treated with true genuine respect and care. All of the guys there are friendly! They take their time to make sure they answer any questions you may have. Their prices are great and service is excellent! If you have any mechanical problems please stop by Dean's Auto.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND DEANS AUTO REPAIR! I went to get my car fixed and i got it back worst then it was. terrible service and i waited more than 3 hours for something that could have been done in less than an hour. i paid a lot for noting. I had to go to a different auto repair, and they did all that for a cheaper price and didnt have to wait that long!Service: Tires

I am not one to complain especially about mechanics because things happen and well to be honest, I don t known a whole lot about cars so I leave that to the Experts. These people are not them. I thought I was in need of a new harmonic balancer, I had my 97 prelude hauled into them on a Thursday for what was a 2 day job and that was for the balancer, water pump, timing belt, and all the seals and stuff along with. I get a call midway through first day that since I had already bought everything except the water pump itself that they may be done by the end of the first day worst case scenario end of the day Friday. I heard nothing back from them that day so I figured Friday. Well end of day Friday comes, stil have not heard from them. I call something had happened to their mechanic that was working on my car and worst case scenario middle of the next week. At this point I go and get a rental car. So I wait and I call because I hear nothing from them on Wednesday and was told that my car was in pieces that the original mechanic was still not in and that he did not want to place another mechanic on my car because the other one knew where everything was at. Worst case scenario Friday. So I extend my rental car again and I hear nothing from them ever except for when I called them. I called back on Friday only to be told that they had lost two parts not exactly sure which two those parts were but they had to order them and would not have them in until the following Thursday. So again extend my rental for a another week which is 700+ dollars a week mind you and continue to wait on my car. So I called back Thursday middle of the afternoon still waiting on the part and that it would worst-case scenario be done tomorrow. So why this point in doubt extend my rental car until Monday. I finally receive a phone call from them Friday afternoon just before closing time that says that my car is ready for pick up I was not in town so I paid for over the phone and had them leave the keys for me. I come back in on Saturday pick up my car and when opening the hood to me it didn t seem like much has been done and I DEF did not see any new parts that had supposedly been lost and replaced. The harmonic balance or steel appeared to be wobbly and the belt squeaked really bad. On top of all that I am sitting at a red light I looked down and the temperature gage is damn near in the red. I quickly turn the AC off and go to pull over but the temperature begins to go down. I thought maybe some air was in the lines so just continue to drive it and got to another stoplight and I look and it s smoking like a chimney. Anyway I could go on and on about the unprofessionalism, the incompetency, and just sheer lies that were told but I think it this point all the rest of it is irrelevant. When it was all said and done I was offered $150 off of my bill for my troubles. Which ended up being close to $3000 in rental car fees and my vehicle was worse when I got it back then what it was when I took it. I took it somewhere else they looked at it the timing belt had not been replaced the reason for the belt being so squeaky was the bolt tensioner by the alternator did not have a nut on it to place tension on said belt. The pulley to the power steering broke off, yes broke and I have no AC so I m now having to pay someone again to do what it was that I pay these guys to do and they failed on every level. I ve recommended this Garage to several people in the past but I regret it and I will not recommend anyone there and will actually put forth effort to keep people away from there.So after it was all Said and done I was out right at $2000 to them,$3000 in rental car fees and have two broke down vehicles in my driveway. All they offered me for my troubles was $150 off! What a joke. I will be looking into my options to see what can be done if anything. In from out of town on business, hit a pot hole in the street and destroyed a tire. All the people here went out of the way and despite not having the tire on site I was on the road in less than 1 hour. This will be my go to for any future needs. Thanks guys!!!Service: TiresService: Tires
