Chris at Charlie s auto deserves a standing ovation for all the hard work and effort he put into helping me get back on the road again. I was without hope and he gave me my 4 wheels back! I will be referring everyone to here.

Best mechanic in town!! Extremely professional and expert. Chris is amazing. I have brought my car to him with a varying range of comically bad sounds, which he has diagnosed and fixed promptly! The guys at Charlie s are all super fun and I always end up having a good laugh at whatever nonsense I have gotten myself into. Thanks again, guys!

I've been bringing cars to Charlie's for about 10 years now. From old beaters that need a lot, to new cars for basic maintenance. They are honest, transparent, and have fair pricing. I wouldn't bring my cars anywhere else

I have had several vehicles in my family serviced here and it has been a positive experience every time. They are wonderful honest people. Their work is both efficient and dependable and I have never felt overcharged. As someone who doesnt know a lot about vehicles, I also appreciate that they explains things to me in a way I can understand without making me feel stupid. My spouse recently took their car here to fix a weird noise issue. Not only did they find and fix the issue they also told my spouse about the rear rotors and brakes, even showing my spouse how bad they were went the car got picked back up. Genuinely good folk.

Getting your car worked on can be an anxiety-inducing experience. The folks at Charlie s were so unbelievably kind, attentive, and made sure I left with a reliable vehicle, which eased so many of my worries. When I expressed my concerns about the issues going on with my car, Charlie and his staff took my vehicle and let me know they would find out how to make it drivable without making me pay an arm and a leg. They were able to take me quickly and on short notice (thank you!!!) and I had my car back by lunch time. I m beyond grateful to this shop, and cannot recommend them highly enough!Service: General repairs & maintenance

This shop is absolutely great! These guys took such good care of my vehicle and me as a customer. Excellent quality of work and totally fair pricing! The speed they got work done was outstanding. I took my car in today for an oil change. They also replaced one of my wiper blades that had been coming apart. Kind people, the service is great, and I am super happy with the price I paid (I have paid more for less at other places.) I mainly took it in because the sun visor had detached from the base. They couldn't fix my visor after my two attempts at explaining that it needed to be done. Furthermore, they lead me to believe it was fixed but I realized it wasn't after I started driving and it fell right back out. They were rude and unapologetic about it. Fantastic experience. I was on a road trip and had to be towed. These guys met me at the curb and instilled calm and confidence right away with a great smile. The fee was so reasonable. The work was quick and saved the day. Can not give enough praise! If I was local I d be a customer for the next generation. I learned this has been a three generation business. Highly recommend Charlie's Auto Center. When scheduling to bring my vehicle in for diagnostics and repair, the expectation is clearly set for what day they can service my vehicle so it's convenient for pickup/drop-off during the work week. They clearly communicate what the issue is, how they will be fixing it and the prices associated - so there are no surprises. Charlie's Auto provides exceptional service and I've always been a happy customer. Excellent service, value and timeliness. They are super honest. I have taken my foreign made vehicle in several times for various issues and they could have pulled one over on me more than once. Foreign cars are usually expensive to maintain and they have been affordable. They are honest, with speedy and excellent service. They diagnosed an issue that is under extended warranty, referred me to dealer as they said dealer would likely replace for free. I would have had no idea and let them replace had they not told me. I have had several interactions like this. I currently live close to them, but if I ever move, I will happily travel long distance for their continued service. 10/10 is not high enough. Life long customer for sure. In other news, avoid don jacobs Honda/bmw dealer whenever possible. Transparency and price wise the dealer and Charlie s are truly worlds apart.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

If I could give 6 stars I would.This place got me in and out the exact same day. They were very honest with me about a specific repair I needed and even advised me to not repair the car based on the repair being more expensive than the car.They did not charge for the inspection and were extremely efficient. Best mechanic in Lexington!! Fair prices and very thorough explanation of services performed. Most honest mechanic I ve ever met who will truthfully let you know what NEEDS to be done and what can wait. I don t trust anybody else now. Just give them a call and you will see what I mean, he actually cares about people <3

I ve been using Charlie s for about 8 years and I couldn t recommend them more. They re honest and kind and go out of their way to help you. Jimmy and Chris are just absolutely standup guys and I trust everything they tell me regarding my vehicles.

I'm reluctant to tell people how good Charlie's is for fear they'll get too busy... but this is a first-rate shop. Jim and Chris not only do excellent work, they're prompt and very reasonably priced. They're great about explaining what needs to be done (and doesn't need to be done) on all our vehicles, and I trust them completely. A+

We have used Charlie's for years to service our Honda's, BMW's, and Mercedes and could not be happier with the service and rates. Jimmie has saved us a great deal over the years with his honesty and experience. We have had numerous instances where we had been told an expensive repair was needed by a dealer's mechanic,only to take it to Charlie's and find only an inexpensive repair was needed. I highly recommend Charlie's to all of my friends.

Jimmy and Chris @ Charlie's are the best! I've had a variety of work done on several cars over the past 4 years and have always received great service and fair prices. They are expert at diagnosing and repairing. They will fix what needs to be fixed and not try to scare you into spending money for unnecessary repairs like many of the dealerships do on a regular basis. In one case a dealer wanted $280 to replace a thermostat in my company vehicle and also noted that the car needed an additional $460 in other work that need to be done right now. I took it to Charlie's and they replaced the thermostat, new anti-freeze, for only $87. And guess what? The other work the dealer said I needed to do right now for $460 was not need at all. Jimmy and Chris are as good and as honest as they come - a breath of fresh air!

These guys are awesome! I got quoted over $500 to replace my rear brakes and these guys took care of it for $120. Honest, friendly, and very fast service. I will definitely be going back to them for all my car s needs!

I do a lot of work on my cars myself but the hard stuff I bring to Jimmy and his son Chris. Been coming here for years as well as my sister and mother. I feel like I have a decent handle on mechanical issues and have seen many, many shops here in town rip people off. (especially dealers) These guys are top notch and above all, honest. I can't speak highly enough of them. I feel confident in saying they are the BEST IN TOWN. (no affiliation btw)

Chris made a repair, told me about a warranty recall and was great. After issue reoccurred months later, he and Jimmy took a look and found nothing wrong; he suggested taking the car to the dealership, at no cost to me. Professional, responsible, courteous and fair!

I have been going to see Chris and Jimmy for years, for all my cars, and I have never run across a more honest and fair shop! Absolutely first class. I have been taken my cars to Jimmy and Chris for years and and can't say enough good things about them or their work. The prices are fair and they stand behind they do. They will tell you what needs to be done right away, what can wait and what you don't need to worry about. And unlike some other shops, they never run up the bill by "discovering" bogus problems. All that was important to me back when I was a broke student and trying to keep my beaters on the road. Now that I can afford a nicer vehicle, I would not take it anyplace else - my boss even takes his BMW there. I work with a lot of foreign grad students and Post Docs and always recommend Charlie's to them because I know they will be taken care of and never taken advantage of.
