Great experience from Abe and his crew. They got the brakes on my car fully replaced with good quality components for literally half what the dealer wanted, and were able to get me in and out same day. Great value and excellent service!

These guys are top notch awesome. They're always friendly, services are done quick and they'll even show ya what they're talking about instead of just telling ya and being done. They don't nickel and dime you with charges and every single person I've dealt with any time I've gone in has been very polite and professional while still managing to be personable. 10 of 10 recommend!

One of the only places in Lexington that I trust to work on my car. They re always great about getting me in and out quickly and are amazing at explaining what the issue is and what can be done to fix it. Staff is great and friendly. I could not recommend them more.

Abe and his team are sent straight from above!His prices are beyond fair, the team works quickly, and the quality of work is phenomenal. Abe clearly cares about not only your car, but the person behind the wheel.I had to stop by today due the bottom cover of my car flopping out. My car was fixed for free in under 20 minutes. I ve also been there previously to have my breaks fixed. Again, he worked quickly and charged a fair price for replacing all 4 breaks.He s my hands-down go-to mechanic and Lexington is lucky to have someone like him taking care of usService: General repairs & maintenance

Part two. I called Charles back and told him the codes it was getting and mentioned the large leak in the brake booster. He told me that they had not worked on the brake booster. I was told they had checked the brake booster in the beginning as they were trying to determine if the issue was the brake booster or the vacuum pump. He called me back later and told me that he had been able to contact Abe by Facebook messenger as he was on a cruise. Hmmmm previously I was told his uncle died. I mean neither is my business. I just pay attention to detail and if they will lie about this what else are they lying about. Anyway. I was told that since I was unhappy and I didn t seem to trust them that Abe was declining to do any further work on my car. They had no idea what was still going on or if it was related to their work or not because they wouldn t even look at it. I had the car in my possession for less than 10 min before the check engine light was on again and at the time that I first called Charles I had driven the car less than 100 miles. So much for their warranty . A warranty is worthless if the company refuses to honor it. I talked with Charles multiple times and told him that I want the parts that they took off of my car and I want any records they have on my car. They claim all they have is the invoice that they gave me. No notes from testing. No detailed records of the repair and he said he threw away the list I gave him. He claimed that all he had was the broken vacuum pump. I told him I wanted it. He told me not to come to the shop or he would call the police. Why? Because someone wants proof of what you really did to their car? I went there anyway and sure enough Charles did call the police. I was peaceful and only asking for the parts or the invoices to prove they had bought new parts. Charles refused to provide any of that. This place is shady and they did poor work and didn t want to admit when I confronted them about it. The officer was told Abe was afraid I was going to sue him. Well guess what Abe. That s exactly what I am going to do. I wouldn t recommend your shop to anyone!! If you did the work prove that you did the work because as far as I am concerned the only thing that was maybe fixed is the vacuum pump but the brake booster still has an issue and the air intake system still has an issue and those were things I asked you to check from the very beginning.

We always use Abe's. Last week we had a problem with water coming in the floorboard. Didn't know if it was major or minor. Called and Charles said he thought he had an idea what it was. Turned out to be minor. When I asked for the bill they told us nothing because it was very minor. What shop will do anything for free? Always use Abe's.

I went here initially to deliver food to this crew. One of Abe's customers paid for the whole teams meal. That act of generosity influenced me to take my car there to replace my alternator. They took care of the problem within 4 hours. I thought my bill was going to be in the 600 range and it was only 300. I'm so thankful for these guys and can't recommend them enough. Their parking lot is usually filled up w customers so they don't need any good reviews but still had to give them their flowers. I can't thank them enough for everything.Service: Electrical

I went into Abes for a problem with my BMW, they looked at it at no charge Charles was able to get me in within a week, and able to fix my problem without any hassle. He spent the time and needed to assure everything was ok. Charles saved me from a huge bill from the dealership!

I have been an Abe's customer/Subaru owner since 2010 and I will never go anywhere else. He and his staff are friendly and ethical and have an absolutely expert level knowledge of foreign autos.Today I had Abe double check all the service needed for 66K miles and not only was the diagnosis complimentary, he assured me I didn't need anything except new front and rear wipers. When I said I'd go to Auto Zone for those he said good idea and they will also install them for you. Then he educated me on the life of the full synthetic oil I use, which I really appreciated as the information I found online from multiple sources was not going to be the best way to assure my car lives it's fullest life! I left feeling happy and secure about the continued care of my car. As usual there was no pushy upsell and no speaking down to me as a woman. They did exactly what they said they would do in the timeframe quoted when I made the appointment. And added bonus - his shop is clean and comfortable with nice furniture, a coffee bar and a big TV. So, really - if you've read this far - do yourself a favor and just call them. You will not be disappointed. A true Lexington gem. Amazing. Fixed the oil leek Don Jacobs BMW said was something different and didnt even check. Something I had already fixed. Took my car here they found the issue fixed same day. They are honest affordable and find the real problem and fix it. Just took my car in for an oil chamge. I prefer going here will not go back to Don Jacobs BMW. Abes takes care of your car. I would give them 10 stars if that was an option. AMAZING. Highly recommend staff is phenominal.

I am thrilled with the service I received from Abe s. I ve only ever driven two cars and they ve both been Volvos. While they re highly rated for safety, that comes with a price and usually you pay that price in the form of increasingly expensive repair as the car ages. My current vehicle is a used car, but I ve had it less than 2 years and it s been out of commission for more time than it s been on the road, unfortunately. So when my starter went out last year, I dutifully had it replaced (at a different shop). This past winter I prepared to leave for work one morning only to discover that my car was once again, dead in the water. After having to leave it sitting until finances could be more certain, I decided to have my car taken to Abe s due to the overwhelmingly positive feedback I had seen about their fairness and honesty. On the morning I had it towed to his shop, he had the hood open and was already checking it out before they a)had it off the tow truck and b) before we had even left the lot! They called us the same day with the diagnosis (a BAD STARTER!) and said it might be worth contacting our former mechanic about the part s warranty. Our former shop told us that while it was, indeed, under warranty, it would be at least 3 WEEKS before they could get to my vehicle. I understand that isn t the mechanic s fault, absolutely. However, Abe s not only gave us a more than fair price for the replacement, when I asked about the timeline for repair, they said they could have it done no later than the following morning! They exceeded expectations and I had my car back that afternoon!So, all that said, even if you don t mind your current mechanic you should give Abe s a call regardless. Their customer service, honesty and quick turnaround time is unmatched. We won t be taking this car anywhere else. Thank you, Abe s!Service: Engine repair

I was facing several issues with my engine that would've probably ran me over $3k anywhere else. Abe and Charles took their time with my car to make sure they got everything right, and actually was able to bypass an issue saving me over $1,500!! You don't find honesty like that anymore. As soon as I called Abes Auto Repair I felt like I was in great hands and wouldn't be treated like I know nothing, or be taken advantage of as a female searching for auto repairs. I will be a lifetime customer of Abes and would recommend them to everybody. I am eternally grateful for them and the money they saved me as a 25 year old business owner just starting out. Being new to Lexington and having an aging BMW is a scary thought when you need service.I was very fortunate to find Abe and his team. The prices are fair, the work is outstanding but the best thing about Abe is the trust. Abe somehow manages to do everything that you would hope he could to service you as a customer.Abe becomes your friend.... then he becomes the guy who gets your car fixed.In a world where customer great service is rare.... 5 stars isn t enough to rate Abe s Automotive.

On two different occasions now I have been amazed by the high level of service and professionalism at Abe s. The first time they patched a tire for me on the fly at no charge before they even opened for the day. Yesterday I stopped in with a weird noise in my front passenger side wheel, they immediately diagnosed the problem as a missing brake caliper bolt (I had them done elsewhere the week before, a mistake I won t repeat) and within 30 minutes he had the correct part delivered and installed. He will be getting all my business going forward and I will recommend him to everyone.Services: Tires, Brakes

Abe s is great. Both times I ve gone in, I have been respected, understood, and talked to like a human being. They do not overcharge for services like some local places. They do what they can to help you out and are not pushy about doing extra services for your car. They have kept my poor Honda running longer than I thought it could. Abe and his skilled team are great! They got my 08 Subaru Outback in quickly, fixed the exhaust system saving me money, performed a full tune up, fixed a leaking tire and buffed out some scratches, and I got it back running like a new car. Abe's a great guy and highly knowledgeable professional. My car and I have a new friend. Thanks, y'all!

I highly recommend Abe's. They are honest, friendly, and knowledgeable.I was passing through Lexington on business when the radiator in my rental was damaged by road debris. Abe's was the nearest open shop and they were nice enough to look at my car as soon as I got in. The owner was willing to quickly order parts and get the car fixed by the next day. But instead, he showed me how to use my credit card's rental insurance to cover the repairs for free through the rental car agency.Abe's went out of their way to help me, even when it meant money out of their pocket.

Extremely professional and very friendly. They did an emergency repair for my mom on the spot and I've been taking all my vehicles and recommending them since. They always have done excellent work and I highly recommend. 5 stars EASY. Excellent experience! From the first phone call to inquire about an issue to the time the vehicle was picked up was positive! Super friendly, honest and fair! As a mom of a college student who isn't from the area, Abe and team made this a stress free situation. Communication regarding the problem was straight forward, and did not try to promote a service that wasn't needed. A big thank you! I've been using Abe off and on since the mid 90's and every time I've been treated fairly and his work has been quality. I'm a better than average shade-tree mechanic and when possible, I typically do auto repair work myself. I'm less than trusting when I take my car to a mechanic, they often seem to waste more of my time than they save. In the last year, my wife has had her Lexus to Abe, a friend took his Subaru to Abe (on my recommendation) and I dropped off my old Buick to him in need of an oil leak repair. Every experience has been a positive one and that level of consistency is more than appreciated. Highly Recommended

Abe has been the place where i take my Saab for anything and everything, Abe is very honest, not trying to upsell for things your car don't need, he'svery thoughtful and always giving you the cheapest option to save money, doesn't matter what car you drive. He has thrown so many freebies it's unbelievable! He is not greedy and he's very honest and sincere, and he knows that he'll keep customers happy by quality and hard work. My boss Donna recommended him and I have to say is the best recommendation I've ever received. Best Auto Repair in the state of KY!

Brought my car in a few months ago, ended up with a lot of work being done on the front end drive (axle/tie rods/cv joints/etc). It ended up being pretty expensive, but a fair price. Three months later, my car starts making a weird noise. I take it in, and Abe went riding with me to hear the noise. While he wasn't sure of the cause, he said he wanted to start out replacing the axle that was under warranty. Which he did with no charge for labor. And the shop did it quick. Noise is gone, super friendly, nice of him to do it for nothing, and I'll be going back. Thanks Abe and crew!

We took our 2003 Camry here to replace the passenger door, where someone had backed into it. Abe explained our options and price differences, along with what he recommended (not even the most expensive option.) The quality of work was impeccable, and the price was definitely economical.If you need a mechanic in Lexington, and you want a good value, look no further. Abe is your man.

I have a 2000 Sonata that recently had the starter go bad. Skeptically, I called Abe's to get the repair done since this was the first repair I've had to have done since being in Lexington. (I've only heard of bad things from Lexington mechanics.) After about 24hrs of having my car towed to Abe's, the work was completed and ready to be picked up. Abe recognized me from our short conversations on the phone and quickly had an employee finish the transaction so that I could be on my way.I could hear the clean of my car immediately and realized how bad it was right before it had broken. After two weeks, it's still working just fine. When something in my car goes wrong again, I will be going back to Abe's.

Abe and his guys are the best. I absolutely believe that they are the most honest and trustworthy guys in town and have referred others to him. We own three vehicles that have over 150k miles. On many occasions I have brought a vehicle in expecting a huge costly repair when all the car needed was minor maintenance or part. I have not had to take our vehicles anywhere else because they can easily do most repairs in house. So, many many thanks go out to these guys and especially to Abe.

I don't live in Lexington, but was driving by one day in my BMW 325XI. My car was not idling well at all. So I decided to stop in and see them. The owner was very busy, but he very nicely wanted to look at my car. Within minutes he diagnosed my problem. After his recommended repair, I no longer have to give the car gas at red lights to keep it running. Stand up company, I give Abe's an AAA+.

Can't recommend Abe enough. Has helped me get back on the road multiple times. I won't take my vehicle anywhere else, he is very affordable and does an excellent job.I first found Abe while I was in college. He has surpassed my expectations every time I take my vehicle in. Reliable, very friendly, and most importantly, he does an A+ job at a very reasonable price. Abe is a great guy and I tell everyone to take their vehicles to him.
