Tex and his team are professional and honest with fantastic customer service. They truly seem to care about taking good care of people and are just straight forward and down to earth. Danielle is great and has awesome customer service and communication and will help in any way she can. I have always felt fully informed and completely aware of what is going on with my vehicle at all times. My experience with them has been a breath of fresh air and is very much appreciated! Thank y all!

The best car service I've ever received! I was passing through Lawrenceburg when my check engine light started flashing. Tex's was the closest shop we could find. It was 4:45 on a Friday. These guys diagnosed the problem, fixed it, and had me out of there in 1 hour. They could easily have turned me away, but instead they stayed over and helped us get back on the road. This is my first review of an auto repair shop because, usually, I feel as if I could have gotten better service/lower prices/quicker turnaround time or something else to make me doubtful. I'm afraid this is also my last review, as I will not go to another shop. Finally, I've found my mechanics! I had a great experience with Tex's Transmissions. It is obvious they care about their customers. Honest people, clean shop, and very fair prices. I highly recommend them for all of your automotive needs. If they can't fix it, nobody can!

Found a new mechanic!! Great shop for any vehicle repairs, I had all the brake lines replaced on my Expedition. Very friendly, professional staff, honest, affordable pricing, quick & accurate service! I had a shop tell me they'd need my truck for 2 days & double the price for the same repair...these men did it in a matter of hours & half the cost of the other shops!! I drove an hour to have the work done...so worth the drive! Will recommend this shop to anyone & everyone! Thanks guys!!

If you're looking for a couple of great guys who know their stuff when it comes to transmissions, Tex's is your place. My partner and I had the unfortunate experience of our transmission overheating while towing our travel trailer to our first campground out of our home state. Every shop that we called before Tex told us no, that they were too busy, and left us stranded. Tex, even though he had a full schedule, told us that he didn't want to leave us stranded and to come on in. It was a Friday and Tex was able to get us a transmission and fit us into his busy schedule that next Monday morning. When everything was said and done, Tex gave us his cell number and told us to give him a call when we got about 30 minutes down the road to ensure that everything was okay, and he even stayed at the shop to make sure we didn't have to come back. All of the workers in the shop were polite and professional, and we were so thankful to have found this place. They saved our 48-state journey. These guys are great!!! I'm just a working joe trying to keep my 2006 Tacoma running. They talk to you straight, show you what has failed, do QUALITY work, price it fair, and treat you with respect. Try them once and you'll be a believer.

I am so grateful to find an honest mechanic. I'm visiting family in Lawrenceburg for Thanksgiving and will drive back to Colorado in a few days. I thought I might have a leak and wasn't sure if a mechanic would even be able to get me in to look at my car before I leave. Not only did Tex's get me in right away, they did a complete check of my whole car. Tex took the extra step and personally drove my car to make sure I could drive it back to Colorado safely. I was nervous to bring my car to a mechanic I didn't know, I thought they might try to take advantage of a woman travelling from out of town. It was the exact opposite of what I expected. Tex is an honest mechanic and did not charge me a dime or take advantage of the situation. If I lived in town, he would be my only mechanic for everything. It is so hard to find a mechanic you can trust. I am very grateful for my experience with Tex's auto shop. Wish there were more mechanics this honest.

Tex and his guys have gone above and beyond for me. They gave me a complimentary diagnosis on my transmission when I broke down during a road trip. I decided it was time for a new car instead of trying to fix it up; Tex has personally helped me in getting my car sold and towed away since I live out of state.I highly recommend this business for your auto repair and transmission needs!

Had a couple u-joints replaced, was very happy with the service and value. Technician was helpful and honest, kept me up to date on their progress with the repair. I will definitely be going back with future repair needs!

I brought my 2013 escalade with the expectation of having to replace my torque converter and they told me I had a misfireon cylinder 4, They could have fixed the misfire problem as simple as finding out the plug wire had come undone and charged me for a torque converter replacement. Very impressed with the honesty and professionalism,, a definite return to them if I need any transmission issues.Service: Transmission

Very non-communicative. Had to call constantly to get updates. If they say it's the warranty and they will pay for a rental make sure you clarify the exact amount of time they are willing to pay for. I understood it was until I got it back, apparently they meant just the weekend

There we are 4 hours into a 14 hour road trip, and our F250 shoots a spark plug straight out of the motor! We are stuck in Love's parking lot and now calling the 7th mechanic for help with no luck so far. Tex's Transmission was extremely helpful from the very beginning! They brought our truck onto a flatbed and then towed the 26 ft RV we had with us with the very same truck to their shop. So there we are looking to rent a car; our trip a complete waste of money and time, and these heroes call us not more than an hour or two later saying they've already fixed the truck and we can take it the rest of the way on our trip after it cures in the morning!! The music festival and trip was a complete success because of these dudes, had the time of our lives!!!! If you are lucky enough to live in the area of these guys give them any and all business you can. I really feel we should of done more than just buy lunch for these awesome human beings!!

Fantastic service. Quick, timely, courteous. Helpful in troubleshooting issues with your vehicles and steering you in the direction needed. Have been looking for a competent local mechanic for sometime for car work more complicated than I am capable of handling and have found one here. Am a repeat customer.

When my buick broke down every mechanic told me it was definitely the transmission except this place they said it was probably something else but that they would check it first before doing anything to it and would call me with the results. When they called me they told me it wasn't the transmission that it was something alot cheaper and they fixed it in one day!... They were very friendly and actually fixed the minnor problem instead of taking advantage of me not knowing much about cars transmissions or anything really! And saved me a ton of money!

Honest, dependable work. They don't BS like most places. Full break down of parts, labor, what's wrong with your vehicle. Back their work for warranty. Highly recommend.

Highly recommended. I had a Cadillac SRX repaired there that I was told at another garage that I needed a engine. Tex"s check it out and found a clogged converter. They got the problem fixed and Saved me a bunch of money.Service: Engine repairService: Engine repair

Had my truck towed to Texas Transmission they told me my Fass 150 fuel system had no electrical power that it had to be replaced the part itself was going to cost $700 and $236 for them to fix it. I told him to push my truck out the garage I'll be there to pick it up I show up I pushed the prime bulb three times truck fired right up then dropping it for weeks now. Texas Transmission is absolutely a joke

Great owner/management & staff. Honest, hard working, fair, won t let you down, etc. The list could go on and on! These guys do a great job. This the only place I have taken my vehicles to for years.

2nd transmission fix in two months. First moms car, then husband's. But they do more than fix transmissions. And you don't have to worry about them tracking grease in your car because Tex keeps his place soooo clean!

Tex s replaces the blower motor in my 06 ram and not one squeak from dash. Then they replaced the ball joints and fixed a few other items . They are fantastic

If you want a place to have your vehicle worked on that's honest and fair,this is the place. Don't let the name fool you. They are a FULL service shop and have taken very good care of my family and friends vehicles as well as my own.

Most honest guy you can find in any surrounding city or county, just ask any local and they'll point you here.I listened to the recommendations and I'll never go anywhere else for automotive work. I'm a customer for lifeHe doesn't just do transmissions, he's full service.

$3,500 for parts and labor and my truck still isn't doing right.. I broke down 4 times and didn't even drive 350 miles. I wonder how many times it will break down in the 350 miles it takes to get home...

They overhauled my transmission recently and the car runs like new! They were straightforward and honest. I 100% recommend them!
