i must preface this by saying that there are few profeessions that i hate less that tow truckers. i've never had a positive experience, save for one, and that's with Carey's Towing & Recovery, which is why i felt the need to write this. Without going into details, i could've been in financial despair after i blew a transmission on I-64 near Frankfort and it was impounded for nearly a week. Instead, Troy had a solution that was a huge Win-Win for everyone. Carey's profited, and i wasn't out some $750 or so; i actually paid less than $100! While an $800 bill for impounding and a tow to a junkyard might not be a bank-breaker for everyone, after this Christmas season, it would've been a disaster for my family this year. But we were spared from that and i am EXTREMELY grateful, because i know that had he wanted to, Troy could've subjected us to AT LEAST $450, but he is very decent people and it seems to me that everyone involved in this operation are cut from the same cloth of good folks. That is why i took the time out of my day to write this in support of their business. THANK YOU for helping me and my family. It's been a couple of weeks now and we are still SO grateful.

Totally take my previous review back about this place. Be warned before allowing your car to get towed by these people. After doing an inventory of the contents of my vehicle, a mere 2 days after an accident i was involved in which had the wrecked car towed to this place, and checking everywhere I could possibly check in the car, turned out to be missing a bunch of stuff. Pretty much anything valuable, small or electronic disappeared overnight while at this place. This includes a 4K camera, a VERY expensive dash-cam, some flash drives, some cordless tools & measuring equipment. Had I not been so shaken up from the accident I would have refused to let the tow truck driver anywhere near my car before I could absolutely grab everything before letting it get towed away to this place to be robbed blind by the either the scumbag who owns it or his driver.What a coincidence too when I went to pick up what was left on the first day, the registration to my car is now suddenly gone so I wont even be allowed to access the car anymore to get what few belongings remained in it. I'm lucky I was able to get a replacement registration the same day from the clerk an hour away in another cuonty but it was glaringly obvious that the owner was hoping I wouldn't bother so he could take the stuff that WAS bolted down in the back of the car

I called in the early morning g to get a tow to the repair shop. I truck was at the house, so it wasn't an emergency but I didn't tell them that. The guy that answered the phone was very short and not friendly at all. He stated that the tow truck was on another run but I would be next. Good thing it wasn't an emergency because I waited for about 3 hours and no one showed up. I finally called back and asked for a status. Same guy answered the phone, again very blunt and unfriendly. He said, "he never showed up? I'll call him again". About 20 minutes later I get a phone call from the tow truck driver. He said he was on a run but he could be there in about 40mins to an hour. He calls back in about 45 mins and said it was going to be a little longer. He finally shows up in about another hour. Turns out he was the manager. I told him about the phone conversation with Mr nice guy. He said that he never got the first call to come pick me up. I don't know the true story on that but I would not recommend using them.

I wouldn't rely on this tow truck group for nothing. Needed my car junked. Called them at 12:47pm...made an offer..no one showed up. Called back 2:29 pm..said they would be on the way..called 7:10pm and canceled the service bc they didn't show up. This is what I call a bad business person. You have someone sitting around putting their day on hold just to wait for him.

Thank you for helping Adam and the crew and your local waterways. A very selfless act. Your time, labor, and service is a great cost to your company. I am in the equipment business - rentals and sales and quite often we need tow companies to help to deliver our equipment. I can tell all that fuel and labor in your field is very expensive. The fact that you are willing to donate that alone is worth 10 stars. Way to go. I wish you much success!

I was in a wreck a couple weeks ago, and while a couple of the people I talked to on the phone were nice, I got conflicting information about how to get back into my car to get my things out. It was already a very stressful time for me, and not only was my experience with Carey's unpleasant, it was also degrading. One of the people I dealt with on the phone was not only unhelpful, but downright rude, and belittling. I never plan to use Carey's again.Service: Car towing

This company will rob you blind. I've had their own employees tell me how they find cars on the side of rd and take themA little dish soap in the rd and on tires will.stop it from leaving drag marks from the loading . They have also stolen everything from my car before when it was towed there.DO NOT USE THIS PLACE !Service: Car towing

Worst tow I have ever experienced. Took a week to manage to remove my vehicle from their lot. They won't answer their phones or have an answering machine to leave a message. My car looked like it was pillaged. And I come to find my new boots and portable stereo missing from my car. They laid the keys on top of the car in the lot so there is little to no care for the safety of your vehicle. I will be advising everyone in my area to keep away from this business.Service: Car towing

We found a car in the water and Carey's Towing helped us get it out of the river free of charge. They hauled the truck off for us to properly dispose of it. Nice to know there's companies out there that car about the environment. Keep up the good work guys!!Service: Car towingService: Car towing

I had my 2015 ford mustang towed by these crooks! Cane and got it 2 days later and my gas was on empty after having well over 200 miles left in it. They are a bunch of liars and they obviously dive these cars.

Was very rude and short on the phone when trying to arrange a tow. Felt like they just couldn't be bothered by me and my troubles not just once but twice I called yesterday and today about getting a car moved. They won't take a bank card cash only and aren't interested in speaking with you unless you have cash in hand ready to go and I was just trying to schedule a time to have a car picked up

Carey's Towing is the kind of company I would call for help and will do so if I am ever in their area and need assistance. I watch videos put out by Adam Brown Adventures and Exploring with Nug on You Tube. They volunteer their time to locate vehicles underwater and sometimes lost loved ones to help families find answers about what happened to their missing relative. This is done free of charge. Carey's Towing did not hesitate to provide Towing services free of charge to help retrieve a vehicle that had been located. This speaks volumes about the kind of people who operate Carey's Towing and that is the kind of people I like to do business with! Thanks for being caring people

This company was willing to help pull a truck out of the river for Nugs adventures with purpose. They were very knowledgeable and professional.very impressed with how.theu handled this. Their towtruck was immense. I'd you need help, they could handle anything.

Says 24/7 had to wait 2 days to get my car back they charged me for both days. It took 6 hours and 15 phone calls to get an answer from anyone, they only take cash and made me drive to 4 different places to get my car. Worst service I ve experienced in my life no way to run a business Severally unprofessional. Your voicemail should never be full. Highway robbery!!!!! Customers beware run in the opposite direction. Update this is a few weeks later had to take my car to the shop only for realize I ve had damage to my car caused by towing. Didn t even realize when I got my car back from these people.....Service: Car towing

Watching a great video of you helping Exploring with Nug to get a silted in Toyota out of the water for free and could not ask for anything more so giving them the 5 star respect for doing this. People that do good things get rewarded and viewing in Ireland. Cheers guys as all the help is needed.
