Love these guys!! Been coming here for many years with many different vehicles. They have helped me maintain my 17 year old Honda Odyssey and shes still running! Honest and always reasonably priced.

Very prompt communication and service. When I was calling around for estimates, Pro Tech was the only shop that gave me a price the same day. This place is wholesome, I came in with a transmission light on after replacing my battery. After a short phone call I was up there and was being helped. It ended up being something extremely simple to fix. In all phone call and drive there plus the diagnostics it took 25 minutes. Hats off. And the kicker, I wasn t charged they were able fix the issue with no cost to them and returned the favor. Not many businesses out there you can trust especially with your vehicle but this place sure gives off a great impression.

Best mechanic shop around. Literally saved us from $900 minimum bill at Chevrolet dealer using a spring. Charge $60. No joke. Brake pedal was slightly tripping suggesting to system we were accelerating and braking suggesting adverse road conditions. I brought my car here because I was having a misfire at around 5,000 rpm s. They actually had to call me and say they didn t even notice a misfire/rough idle and I told them maybe it was the spark plugs but it was there and to keep looking. they call me the next day to tell me the misfire that they couldn t even detect yesterday is now a severe misfire after replacing my fuel injectors and I would need to replace my engine.When I went to pick up my car the manager acted like he was doing me a favor by only charging me 100 dollars for the spark plugs, and absorbing the cost of the labor . I now have to buy a new car or have an engine put in for an issue they couldn t even detect in the first three hours they had it yesterday.Very sketchy, stay away from these guys.

I have taken multiple vehicles to Pro-Tech and have always had fast, reliable service. Their prices are reasonable and only do the work necessary to solve the issue. They have repaired a blown spark plug on my car, transmission shudder and rear bearings on my van. Many things I can do on my own but when time and expertise become an issue, I don't hesitate to take them to Pro-Tech.

Have been a customer of Pro-Tech for many years. Have all the service work for 3 vehicles done with them. Always honest with me. Have solved a couple of obscure problems for me. They kept at the problem until they found a solution. I highly recommend them.Update 03/2018 - I continue to do business here and still highly recommend Pro-Tech Auto !Update 12/14/2021 - Still THE BEST!Update 10/21/2022 - And again, THE BEST!

I HIGHLY recommend this shop for the Louisville area. I have had dealers near them, tell me I needed thousands of dollars in repairs, and this shop told me I did not. They have always been honest, upfront, and unlike dealers, that use a middle man with usually no mechanic experience to explain what you need over the phone, they actually let you talk to THE guy working on your car. Its rare to find an honest shop anymore but this is one of them. Truck is running great!

Pro-Tech is fantastic! My wife had a break down on the interstate and Pro Tech was a real life saver. They really helped her out. Their people were friendly, understanding and professional. They had to order parts for my wife's outdated Jeep. Once those parts were in they completed the repairs in record time. Great service and reasonably priced. They aren't close to home for us but their comfortable waiting area and friendly staff meant that my wife was comfortable and safe during her wait for me.Pro Tech is aptly named and they have my thanks.

Awesome shop! My BMW wouldn't start, suddenly. Took it here, and while it took a couple days, they thought it was going to be the starter. A few hours later they found the real problem. Cut my repair bill in half. These folks are stand up and honest. They made a new customer.

I have had all my cars repaired by Pro-Tech for the last 10 plus years. My first experience was with an electrical issue 5 other shops couldn't figure out. They solved the puzzle and I have been a customer ever since. They are not the cheapest but when you measure overall cost they rank as the best. The main thing is they are HONEST! Highly recommend.

Always concerned w finding honest, dependable independent service facility. I believe we have with Pro Tech. Two other companies could not figure out issue, 30 sec into test drive the tech told me the issue. They gave options between OEM and Will Fit, as well as opinion on which to use. Quoted me a reasonable price and finished ahead of schedule. They ll get all my work in future. Honest, Timely.

Do NOT go to this place. Nearly every thing that they've done to my vehicle has broken down months later, been defective, had to be replaced, or was repaired with the wrong part - which later I had to pay dearly for, with another more trustworthy mechanic. They seem nice, and will cover the labor out of "nice gesture to the customer" but it never is. They're "gestures" die months later and then you have to trust that they'll put in the right part the second time you come back. Many of their parts are under warranty (which is why the 1 star) BUT the warranty/tow process that they're covered under is grueling and time consuming.

Very pleased with my recent (first time) experience with Pro-Tech. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. After diagnosing the issue, the repairs needed and costs associated were communicated clearly even broken down individually. Pricing was competitive with other estimates that I received. Additionally, the repairs were made within the time frame discussed. I would recommend Pro-Tech and I will be a repeat customer.

They are always ready to assist me no matter the issue. I am always amazed at their professionalism and competitive pricing. They take good care of my car and it s needs often alerting me to issues for which I need to be on the lookout. Always recommend!

Driving home from New York to Texas. Knew something was going wrong with RV (1991 FORD WINEBAGO)(pretty much a van with a big shell). Called four other auto shops and none were willing to give me a diagnosis. These folks were very kind and helpful and willing to at least take a look even though they are busy. So grateful....This team was a true blessing! Like I mentioned they were last minute willing take a look at what was wrong when no one else would. They diagnosed what the problem was, but they didn't have the part and it would be a couple of days until they could get it, but putting their minds together they came up with a plan to Jimmy rig it by by-passing the issue with an option that would get us back home (otherwise we would have found ourselves stranded at the side of the road if we had kept going, a pulley was bad and grinding and almost done for, if it had broke it would have snapped the belt that was pretty much connected to everything else in the engine) where we could then get the RV to the shop. They had us taken care of in an hour! With six children, one who was sick, this was such a blessing. There is also a little restaurant next door that we were able to have lunch at while waiting... I don't know that things will always work out that smoothly for anyone who chooses to go here, but for us, they were an answer to our prayers and acting as God's angels in mechanic uniforms. Highly recommended!!!

Guys here helped me out with small and larger issues on new and older vehicles. Always courteous and listened well, then talked about options for work done as well as reasonable prices. I will keep going back to them time and again and recommend them highly to friends and family.

Beware, went to Pro-tech ask them to give me a price. range to replace manifold gasket in a 2000 Chevy Astro.They told me $500.00. I ask the fellow what would be the high end of estimate. He said that was the estimate only thing extra would be how much fluid was lost during procedure. I said fine and set a date to have work done. Day of repair they called to say work would cost $975.00. Pretty close to double. told themestimate was $500.00 plus fluid. There response was, well sorry he misquoted. Needless to say I told them to forget it. I myself have been in business for over 40 years. Cant imagine giving a customer an estimate on a job and when I get there to do it telling them price would be double. Doubt i would still be in business. Cant imagine they are if they treat everyone this way. My last time there.

Arrived for my new tire installation early. Everyone was very friendly and work was completed properly and at a great price! Thanks to mechanic Tim G. for knowing how to handle spacers on a lifted Jeep!

We took one of our company trucks up to protech because we were having problems with the lights staying on and the battery dying. They had our truck fixed in just a few hours. I plan on taking all of our vehicles to protech from now on. They were great to work with.

Tommy and his staff were lifesavers and miracle workers for us! We were traveling from Buffalo, NY back to our home in Texas in an RV and began having engine troubles, which woukdve resukted in a brakedown on the side of the road if not addressed. Thankfully we searched and found them on google, and they went out of their way to fit us into the busy schedule. They explored all possible options to address the failing bearing on our AC compressor, and checked parts availability. They made me and my family as comfortable as possible, even giving my kids matchbox cars as a gift, which turned a scary situation into a fun one for the kids. They had us back on the road within a short period of time so we could continue our trip home, and with an extremely fair and affordable price! We are so grateful to these talented and knowledgeable mechanics with serving hearts.

They charged me $220 to replace one brake line on a Ford F150 pickup truck which is outrageous in my opinion. Instead of charging a reasonable rate and getting more business from me and my friends and relatives I tell everyone to avoid them because they're dishonest. I'm actually surprised that they're still in business....

I typically go to Valvoline and Ken Towery's for work on my vehicle, simply because I've never had a bad experience and because of convenience. However I wanted to shop around for a cheaper oil change. This place changed my oil for nearly half my typical price. They are also extremely reasonable on tires--therefore I'm assuming other things as well.
