Putnam is an amazing place. We are from Missouri and after we started back on the road after a short gas stop our brakes decided to stop working properly. When we got to Putnam, Chris was so helpful the entire time and made sure we got our rental car lined up. Even though they could not fix the vehicle (computer problem only Volvo can fix), they had no problems helping us find what we needed to get back on the road to enjoy our little weekend getaway.

By all means, this is the place for ALL of your automotive repairs. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful and the quality of work is top notch. As long as they are in business, I will always bring my automotive needs to them.......... Thank you Putnam, you guys ROCK!!!!

I was just passing through town and needed some electrical wiring done on my truck so my trailer lights and brakes would work properly, I walked in without calling and they were able to accommodate me immediately. I believe it was the owner who helped me, super friendly and had me on my way quickly.

Wanna tell you guys about the disaster that is Putnam Collision & Auto Care.Last year I brought my Firebird in to be repaired. Putnam's broke more than they fixed and I had gotten nowhere contacting them. I then found out they didn't even install my gas tank right. I had provided the parts save for the fill neck. Youre supposed to weld the fill neck to the tank, or at least JB tankweld it. I was told to call them, so I did. Chris, the owner of the business, said he fired the last guy who worked on my car because he caused similar issues and would "make it right" and that he wanted to inspect the car to give me my options. I said sure but I wanted a price. He said he'd "work with me" and said we'd discuss price after the inspection. I decided to give him a chance dropped my car off.I was told in a week I would be called. I didn't hear back after a couple weeks and went in. Chris told me he already bought the gas tank. I said I wished to speak with him BEFORE he ordered the part. He told me it was "only $150" and that he would work with me on the price. I said fine, since he apparently already ordered the part and he finally gave me a price of $150.Over a month went by before hearing from him. I called for an update and he said he had me penciled in for Monday. To my knowledge, it was still $150 for the part. I got my bill today. $375.87. Somehow my bill DOUBLED. I explained to him he told me 150. He lied to my face, saying companies would charge him over $150 shipping to deliver it, so he bought a $377 tank instead WITHOUT consulting me. After much back and forth, he said "Well, if you provided the right parts, we wouldn't be here!" I provided the right parts and his guy installed em wrong, which he admitted to me months before. I brought this up, to which he said "no. That never happened". Chris LIED to me, either on the call or right there in the office.Chris screwed up and installed parts incorrectly, then tried charging me double what he priced me the first time without my permission. He did insure the fuel neck he provided the first time, but it still cost me $330. Still double what I was priced.Chris Putnam is a liar and a thief. AVOID PUTNAMS AT ALL COSTS.

Chris has always been there for me with my car. A lot of times, it's just simple things like oil change, checking under the hood, and is always quick to respond and get my car ready. He is a wonderful guy and willing to help anyway he can! Fair prices, and so far, no problems after gettin fixed everytime!

The staff is very friendly and helpful, I was driving from Georgia to my cousins wedding in St Louis and something on my car pop , I was panicking but they quickly took care of it. Also they have an awesome friendly grey cat who loves getting pet. So that's a plus!!!

Chris and his wife stopped at my daughter's aid when she hit a deer at 2 am. They stayed with her and helped me get my car towed to his shop. They were answered prayers for sure since she was 2 hours from me. They even drove her the rest of the way to her dads house.Seem like great people friendly and caringSo thankful God had them on that highway that night.

We ran over a large piece of metal in the road at 2am and Putnam got us in right when they opened and got us back on the road. Very nice people!

Our truck would not start and we needed to leave our home in Kuttawa to go to Illinois. My husband called at 12:24, 1:26 and 4:22. Each time we were told they would call us right back. It is 7:16 pm now, too late to call another auto repair, and we are still waiting for their call. We are new to the area and looked at the ratings and information to make a choice. Obviously we made the wrong choice. I would not reccomend doing business with Putnam.Service: Auto engine diagnostic
