Love love loved Timber Point! Amanda was the best! The rooms were so cozy and clean! The only suggestion I have is that you have to at least get vending machines of so kind. No one delivers there at all and no restaurant. So FYI...I know they are thinking of opening a restaurant and that's a must in my opinion. So FYI for now to stay there ....just take your own food! I would definitely recommend them to anyone and would definitely stay there again.Rooms: Very clean with new bedding and updated as well. Very impressive.Nearby activities: Lots to do in the area...the pool was great but closed when I was there. If you love the outdoors and lake life...this is the place for you!

I haven't actually gotten to stay at this location yet and after the experience I have had, it won't be happening. I had booked a room for the end of June but in May, we realized we couldn't come. I canceled the room on May 3rd but didn't receive anything so called and canceled again on May 11. That time I received a refund of my deposit minus their 20% fee. At the end of June, I was charged for the canceled room. I called again, he said he cancelled it but it was an error on the computer. Received a refund for the room amount the next day. The next weekend, they charged me for the whole room amount again. I have called once again but have not received a phone call back yet.

Great place to get away from it all. Rooms are simple but clean and comfortable enough for a guy who's been on a motorcycle all day long. Lot's of scenic places to ride in the area and plenty of twisty roads. There is a restaurant there serves a good enough variety of food for the hungry traveler. Breads are all home baked. Coffee is the best. I'll be back.

I called earlier in the day to confirm reservation and checking in late and was told it was fine. No one was available at check in office, called and texted number from website and still haven't gotten a reply.I stayed to the Lure Lodge at the state park instead. Check-in 24/7 available.Update: being charged for full stay because they claim it was in instructions emailed. It was not, nor can they provide documentation it was sent to my email.

It was a beautiful place to stay. Rooms were clean and tidy. Needed an extra towl and they were Jonny on the spot. Only docked them one star because my bed was hard..very firm. I Called and asked about other beds but they said they are all the same. If I stayed again I would pack extra padding. The cooffe/ food joint was amazing! Ate breakfest and the baskets and gravy was better than most. My wife loved the Java and fresh pastry.

Always nice place to stay. The wall paper in the kitchen above the sink peeling off.I think that is small. The beds were nice the room was clean the air was ice cold. The location is great for that end of the lake .The people who run it seem very nice.I give 4 stars fix the wallpaper and that is a 5 star all day long for a lake getaway.Great little coffee shop and a place to eat right on site .Looks really nice but I did not eat at the restaurant. Also a nice pool area.Been going to this spot for a while now .June 2022We have stayed here quite a bit it is always clean and friendly. A little worried about the price keeps climbing hopefully that levels off ..Just changed owners again so having a few growing pains this trip short of staff but the house keeping staff are great as usual always helpful and kind Amanda is a gem does it all. Will probably be back because we love the location.

Buddy and I came down from Ohio to fish Lake Cumberland and just needed a clean affordable place to stay and this place was awesome. The staff is very polite, and the coffee shop had amazing food. We had the biscuits and gravy for breakfast and pizza for dinner! The rooms were very clean upon arrival and fresh towels and beds made when we came back from fishing! Will definitely be coming back! Thanks Timber Resort Staff!!!

Loved our stay and was so thankful for them! We Were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and had booked another location in town and immediately checked out due to the room condition. The staff was sweet and very helpful. The room was CLEAN, comfortable and had everything we needed. It was cold so we didn t use any amenities but the coffee shop was amazing!

We stayed here only because the Google reviews were good. I was a little leery of it. Got there and it's a super clean cute spot. I bet it's very popular during the summer. The TV in the room is on the small side. I wish I had a recliner or something in the room to sit and watch tv. It did have a little bar area in the room with some bar chairs. I was looking forward to a nice bath but only a stand up shower. These are the ONLY reasons I didn't give it a 5 star rating. They also have a restaurant on the property which is very nice since it's about 10 miles out of town. It is very close to the lake though.

We stayed for a week - we had a blast! The owners & their family are beyond friendly and nice! Loved the store - lots of adorable hats/jewelry/gifts plus coffee/tea shop. Everyone was friendly - even the permanent campers. Pool is very nice/clean and the resort is amazing. We could of stayed forever - we didn't want to leave. Thank you to Heather and her family -we will see you again I'm positive!

I love visiting Timber Point every-time I come! I have been coming here all 27 years of my life and lots has changed over the years but it s still the same, fun, family friendly, collective of good people it always has been! Close to the lake, good rates, and now a coffee/food shop right on site!

I didn't stay here. The review is just for the restaurant. We ordered a pizza for the three of us. The cashier suggested an appetizer since we weren't sure if the pizza alone would feed three adults. She recommended cheese bread, which we got. We sat down and about 10 minutes later a lady came out saying she had our "hot honey sticks". We let her know we didn't order that, but ordered cheese bread. She said that's what it was. We were confused, especially when she told us it had cauliflower crust and was drizzled with actual honey. She assured us this was our "chesse bread". The look on our faces must have clearly showed our skepticism as she said she would take it back if we didn't like it. We each had some, but we didn't care for it. The cauliflower crust wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either - just bland and had a bit of an odd flavor. The honey doesn't work well on cheese. My dad is diabetic and isn't something he should eat. I don't know why the cashier didn't explain what it was. She called it cheese bread. The place is nice and quaint. There's only two or three tables. The rest of the seating is couches, so you may have to eat off of your lap.Pizza was okay. They offer coffee drinks and a few sandwich options, but I haven't had them.

This place is super cute. The whole place is super decorated with loads of beautiful flowers and landscaping. The coffee shop is so good and the creamery, OMG. DELICIOUS ice-cream.The king room we stayed in was so cute. You might think I'm crazy to give 5 stars after mentioning the bed issue, but believe me, the ambiance of this place, along with the great staff make this place for sure. Now to our bed. It actually wasn't that bad after we moved our heads to the foot, but it was sinking in the headboard so much our heads were getting pressure. I know, sounds bad, but like I said, the rest of the place was just so good it didn't matter.I would love to come back for a longer stay. The lake is beautiful and the state Marina had an excellent restaurant on the pier. These people take such good care of this place that you will feel like you are in paradise.

I am a repeat customer of Timber Pointe for the past several years. We have always enjoyed our stays there and loved the amenities it provided for our kids when we are visiting family. This particular trip left a sour taste and we will not be returning. I called a directly to the resort and booked my room with the staff. I was quoted a price of 303 and needed to pay 1/2 up front which I did. I was very clear that I wanted the 4 bed suite as there were 5 guest and we had stayed in room before and even clarified the price. There were two witnesses to my conversation. Upon a arrival we were placed in a two bed suite meaning it had a kitchen. Upon calling and talking with the person on call my husband was told they have young High schoolers and they must have misunderstood or quoted the wrong price. The room we were told we would have was available but he was told the only way we could get it was to pay another $112 or would have to make due and have someone sleep on the floor. I ve asked for a refund so we could find different accommodations that would work and he was told no because we already checked in. I called back and was told there was no one else I could speak with as I watched the person walk into the owners home behind the lodge. After a return phone call from the on call person their fix was to put a flimsy air mattress on the floor for one of the kids. Meanwhile the other room sat vacant. When I asked to speak to the manager owner the next day she continued to say that it was a misunderstanding but we shouldn t expect the 120 room for the price we were quoted. She also stated she heard the whole phone call the day before but instead of coming and talking to us directly as the owner she opted to buy a cheap flimsy mattress. They are a small business and they can t afford to give rooms away was her excuse. Yet the suite was still available if we wanted it. I was not asking anyone to give a room away I was asking that they honor the price we were told for the room we were told we would have. Instead I was told by the owner she would refund all of my money and we could leave the property. Now She was willing to refund my money because I was upset and called them out on their poor business skills of making the client pay for their error. All I really wanted was a sincere and to be moved to the to the room I was told I had booked. Instead I was told mistakes happen. To be clear I do understand mistakes happen. But I also expect the business to fix them when they do and your suggestion only benefited you. This is an increditably poor way to due business with a repeat customer who has recommended your establishment to many friends over the years. I never once cussed or was inappropriate. I was upset justifiably because all we got was it was a misunderstanding but the only we can fix it is to give you a cheap air mattress or we the customer could pay more money for your mistake. Again all while the room we had been told we were getting sat vacant. I have never written a poor review but put yourself in our shoes and ask your self if we had been told a price and then given something else and you only options as the client is to put your kid on the floor or pay over 100.00 more how would you feel.

This place is awesome! NOT YOUR AVERAGE PLACE! The rooms are all updated and VERY clean!! The grounds are kept up and groomed. They have a pool that is clean along with CLEAN bathrooms! They have a restaurant, ice cream, coffee shop. Timber point is operated by the owners not an outside operation!! My wife and 2 kids love staying here.

This place was amazing from the coffee and food and boutique store, to the hospitality professionalism of the owner and family. This place truly saved our weekend at Lake Cumberland while celebrating my wife's birthday. There was no need not met here. Anyone traveling to Lake Cumberland would definitely miss out if they didn't stop by for one of there coffee drinks, breakfast sandwiches, or delicious pizzas. We will stay here EVERYTIME we return to the lake.

This was a nice hotel very close to the lake that was reasonably priced. I stayed one night with my brother for a weekend fishing trip. The rate was very reasonable, although we stayed during the off season. 3 minutes to the boat ramp was awesome and outside plugs to charge boat batteries was a big plus too. Next trip to Cumberland this is the place I'll likely stay.

Excellent!Clean and large lodge room. For 100.00 for 4 people we had a full kitchen and full sized frig. Pool was small but clean. Large TV, and a kitchen table. Large clean bathroom. Well kept decks and plenty of parking.Just what we wanted. Couldn't ask for more. We would stay there again in a minute.

Timber Point I highly recommend this amazing place. Owners are amazing people. They have been working hard on making this place better than when they bought it. Clean, friendly and way much more. I will not hesitate to go back to this place. I could go on and on how amazing the owners are and their facility is but until you go and reserve a room and stay there or park your camper is there you will never know how amazing this places.

Just a wonderful experience! We stayed in the 4 bed suite. There was plenty of room with a decent kitchen and a nice balcony. Friendly staff and clean rooms. They even had firewood for us to burn! Also pointed us to the Jamestown Cafe..which was fabulous! I recommend the in house made blueberry pie with a scoop of ice cream! Looking forward to staying there again.

We fled torrential rain while tent camping at the state park and found refuge here. Especially loved the sweet store (great latte) and kids enjoyed the playground & lovely pool. The room was tasteful and so comfortable. WiFi worked great. My only suggestion would be to put a hair dryer in the room (I didn t find one, anyway.) And consider adding a section for tent campers.
