It was a last minute planned trip on a busy weekend, so I was happy to find a room. With that being said I was not to pleased when I was told that due to the farm show being in town that the rates were higher than normal. I, as a farmer would think that during a busy weekend the rates would be a little better due to knowing that you would be close to full capacity. Anyway back to the room, it was very nice and the young lady that booked the room over the phone was very nice and helpful. Fast forward to Saturday morning to have a faulty valve in the shower, they say cold showers are good, I disagree. Go down to checkout and talk to a nice young lady at the counter about the shower and all I get is we'll have someone look at it, not a I'm sorry, what can we do about this, Nothing. Just a thanks for staying here. Not upset, just wish customer service was more of a priority these days.

Room was okay, pool was fine but out of pool towels, the hostess got us other towels which was nice. The worst part was breakfast. We stay at holiday inn because the breakfast is nice and my kids all like it. This morning was bad, really bad. Burnt biscuits and gravy, cold turkey sausage (no regular sausage), only had cheese omelets. Only good thing was the fruit loops haha. There are like 6 hotels right in this area, we will try somewhere else next time because we stay in this area frequently.

Fire alarms go off after you shower, my daughter found a pill on the floor, metal shavings were all over the carpet, there was ants all over the floor tiles by the bathroom. Asked if the manager could call me and she refused to call would only email, but refuses to address any of the issues. Breakfast was pathetic. Pool is freezing cold. Wasn't able to check in until almost 4pm because they didn't have rooms clean.

What's happened to Holiday Inn? You make a reservation, make a special request, and it's not honored. They tell you your request, was other than what you wanted, OR you must have made the reservation thru a third party, when you even called THEIR front desk! No freezers anymore, or a place to hang a towel. AND ...... raising room rates because of an event near by, IS LAME, at best!! About done here!!!

Okay, but not up to normal IHG standards. Our room was decently clean but halls and elevators not so much. Breakfast was a bit skimpy.

This hotel is far below IHG s normal standards, just don t stay here unless you have to with so many other better choices right next store. Bed was clean and that was it. Bare minimum up keep from the elevator to the shower it was all just rough. I rarely leave bad reviews but had to for this one. Lady at the counter was very nice though.

Our room was clean but in bad need of an update, paint job. The ceiling tiles were badly water stained. We were on the end of the first floor, room 113. Our friends were on the 2nd floor and we're thrilled with the recent renovations on that floor. The breakfast was surprisingly good! The people who were on duty were amazing! There were tons of kids and they were very loud and very busy running around and up and down.

Sadly this hotel is not at all what most HI Express hotels are, it was disappointing. Our room smelled heavily of air freshener, the next morning it smelled musty and smokey. Not sure what was worse. Room was okay, a little worn, but bathroom was not, hair and what may of been blood in shower. The shower had been repaired but not correctly. The staff was indifferent and less than helpful. This was close to where we needed to be, but not near much else. We won t stay here again. Lately, IHG hotels have been disappointing not sure what is happening internally, but hopefully they figure it out.

This was a VERY weird experience. No one could find the guy at the front desk when checking in. After looking for him, he was found passed out in the back room with a knife and an axe in his hand....Clearly intoxicated.Cops showed up and called someone else in to check people in.After waiting we were checked into our room with no explanation of what happened.I was not given points for my stay as a member.

I can not believe how rude the staff was here at this location. I tried to call the hotel to get someone to give my husband a wake up call. At first no one answered for 30 mins and then the staff had an attitude and said if I didn t know the room number that they would not give the room a call. I told them that the room was booked under my name. He then asked my information and asked when I wanted the wake up call. I told him now or he can transfer me to the room. He then hung up. Highly inappropriate and unprofessional.

I was a manager at two of the most successful hotels in Lexington. I cannot think of a scenario where I couldn't workout something so that a family of 6, paying for a handicap accessible suite, could not have an extended checkout by ONE hour. On a Sunday? Nevermind that I'm a rewards member, just as a human being.I might be more understandable if the front desk attendant had even attempted to explain why. It's easy at the desk in that situation to say "we're sold out for the night" or explain why vacancy is limited and turnover it critical on a day like that. But she didn't attempt to make an excuse like that, because one didn't exist. When we managed to get my three young kids and senior mother and her walker downstairs to load our two vehicles upon checkout, what was left of the staff was taking a smoke break in the all but empty parking lot.Besides the terrible service, the handicap suite, wasn't much of either. It was a big room with all the same amenities of a normal room except way more wasted space. And when you can barely stand up straight (the two disabled persons staying in the room) a hand rail doesn't exactly scream accessibility. Just more to the tone of less liability. There's almost a happy ending though. The hotel didn't charge us! Great right?! Except my wife and I trying to be honest folk, call the hotel to find out why, only to discover....it was an error on their part. Just didn't charge us. They appreciated our honesty though. Appreciated it so much they gave us a whole $25 bucks off our entire, all be it short, stay. Right before they charged us.Just a reminder of why we haven't done anything special (like celebrating my son's 10th birthday) out in the world for several years now. Thanks HIE for showing me my shadow. I'll be headed back into my antisocial fear hovel, where I can pretend people aren't constantly trying to take advantage of my family and what little money we can scrape together to get away from the everyday, commonplace horror that has become acceptable to us all.

Started out rough and didn't get better. We had just drove 5 hr and needed to go to the bathroom, we were told they lost the keys to their bathroom and we would have to wait until we got to our room. Ok stuff happens but later we found out our friends had toilet issues. When asked if someone could look at it they were told they could get a plunger but would have to take care of it themselves. Seriously, my guess is they were having pluming issues .After going to our room to use the bathroom we go back to the car to unload, get back to the room to our room keys not working. We go back down have them reprogrammed, a total of 4 times during our stay. The Ice machine on our floor wouldn't make ice at all during our stay. The pool was green, so we didn't use that. There was no bedding for the pull out sofa bed, when I called to ask where I could find it I was told I had to come back down to get it. We left a shirt in the closet, called back and were told it was not found. When we emailed the manager, her response " I can assure you it wasn't stolen". I glad she trusts her staff, but unless she cleaned the room herself she shouldn't assume it wasn't taken. Very disappointed in this hotel as it located in a great location near restaurants and off the expressway. I love Holiday Inns but this one was a joke. Last but not least they gave me a bill that said one total but then charged me more. STAY AWAY....

After our daughter got car-sick 12 hours into our planned straight drive home, we were desperate for a place to rest for the night. My husband went in and explained the situation, and the sweet attendant at the front desk (we don t remember her name, I m sorry!) took pity on us and upgraded us to a suite. The hotel itself looked very clean and new, and the suite was enormous. More than enough room for the four of us! Beds were extremely comfortable, bathroom was clean, and we got our much-needed rest that night. The complimentary breakfast in the morning was plentiful- yogurts, pastries, fruits (bananas with sweet messages written on the peel!), cereals, even omelettes. The breakfast attendant was cheery and kind as well. Extremely pleased with our stay, and would most certainly stay here again and recommend it to anyone passing through!

We had a nice stay at the hotel. The beds were comfortable and the shower pressure is good. The pool and pool room was very warm so our kids could only swim a few minutes. The breakfast bar is one of the best but we happen to get there at the same time as a lot of other guests. The eggs and breakfast meats was a big bottle neck and there weren't enough seats. Overall a nice hotel for the price.

The floor is dirty, toilet paper holder hanging off the wall, had to argue to get a bar of soap and 2 towels. There is brown god knows what on the bathroom wall. The water pressure is so low to the jacuzzi tub it's been 30 minutes and still not even covering the jets. This place used to be nice and clean, it has went way downhill.

This place is understaffed in maintenance and housekeeping. The tub was broke so I couldn't take a shower in the morning. Plus there's mold or mildew in the tub and ceiling. See photos. My room wasn't ready at 5pm so they moved me to one that was right over the lobby at the front door. I got to listen to every car and loud mouth that checked on all night.I complained to the girl at the front desk about the bathroom. She stared for a second and then looked down and ignored me. She didn't know what to do. I know I won't be staying here ever again. There are 5 other hotels all around them. Way below what yoi should expect from a holiday inn express. They pobably wont last long with this kind of operation.

Check in was smooth and had a choice of floors. The room was open and bright. The king bed, mattress, sheets and comforter was very comfortable. The room was clean and price reasonable. We did not have the breakfast so can't comment on that. The coffee in room was good.

Had to just stop in find a room. Was going to see if Comfort Inn had to any rooms there was a sign on the front desk said had to step away for a minute well I stood there for. 5 minutes and no one showed up went back to my truck headed up the street to the Holiday Inn Express and the girl walked out as I walked up to the desk asked what she could do for me. I asked if she had any rooms available and yes she did had us checked in and on our way to our room in less than 20 minutes. I believe her name is Amber. Nice girl. Cleanest room I ever stayed in best bed I ever slept in. Shower was perfect. Good breakfast too.

The hotel room was great, bed was excellent, but the service was less than par. When we checked in the guy at the front desk was not personable at all. He didn t greet us, was just very matter of fact in his responses. The part that really got me was that he had chew in his mouth and he was spitting into a cup as he was checking us in. Gross and unprofessional!

The hotel has recently been renovated, the guest rooms were clean and modern. Maid service was very good, the room was cleaned everyday of our stay. The breakfast area was clean, staff was friendly and the breakfast was good with a fairly large selection. Didn't get a chance to swim, however the pool looked very nice.

Do not let the exterior deceive you. The hotel has been recently updated. Even with new mattresses which is always a big plus. Everybody I have spoke to with the staff have been very friendly and helpful. Everything is very clean and well taken care of. That includes lobby, breakfast area, pool, laundry, fitness area, and rooms. They also have nice new furniture in the pool area.I have been very impressed with this hotel.

I feel very comfortable when I stay at a Holiday Inn Express. This one had clean rooms and a great breakfast and service. My only complaints would be in the bathroom. Some type of service panel was left open, thankfully it was up high out of the kids reach. The sink drained very slowly, and the tub spigot was broke so you go shower and tub at the same time. That made the property feel as if it were not taken care of. Parking was a bit of an issue too, but that was due to moronic guests not the hotel. Wife and kids say the pool was nice and clean.

The hotel was very nice with up to date rooms, comfortable beds and pillows. An indoor pool that was very nice as well. The breakfast was very good, eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits gravy and pancakes plus all the extra continental breakfast stuff. I was very pleased that they had sugar free syrup as I'm a diabetic. Would definitely stay here again.

My Wife and I stayed here, prior to an early morning appointment in Louisville, and it was clean, neat, quiet & had a VERY comfortable bed! We slept well, and left refreshed, early the following morning!Much cheaper and quieter, than staying in downtown Louisville! We would definitely recommend the Holiday Inn Express, to anyone!! (Not to mention the Cracker Barrel, just across the street)

Stayed there twice in the middle of construction. My first room was just remodeled. The shower rod holding the curtain was almost out of the wall. The toilet paper dispenser was out of the wall sitting on the ground. Another guest in our group was missing her whole light fixture in the bathroom. Staff was super nice and helped compensate as much as possible. Overall rooms were kept neat and breakfast the first time there was great. The second time there seemed most machines to make breakfast was broke.
