***BUYER BEWARE OF THIS DEALER***They buy auction vehicles from Iowa at wholesale and sell to you at retail. When you buy "as-is" you're stuck.I purchased a Lexus LX from Wes and Kenneth on May 1st, knowing it would need some TLC. 19 days later, after a new AC compressor, timing belt , etc. I found that the vehicle cannot tow because the frame is too rusted in the rear. 3 different shops confirm, and one of them told me the truck IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE. After asking if we could work something out, I'm told I'm ON MY OWN. I know I should have been more careful, but it's an expensive lesson. Very expensive trip out to the boonies for nothing. I'll have to trade or salvage and take the loss.

We have purchased two vehicles from C&K. The first one was 6 years ago, and the second one was this month. The first purchase worked out very well; the second one remains to be seen, but no major problems so far.C&K is a good dealer for older, higher mileage used cars. But that doesn't mean that every car on their lot is worth buying. Any time you buy an older used vehicle from anyone, you should have a mechanic check it out first, and you should also look at the Carfax or Autocheck report for maintenance records, accident history, etc. Some reviewers here seem to assume that you can buy a 10 to 15-year-old vehicle with 150,000 or 200,000 miles and expect that it won't have any mechanical problems. I wouldn't recommend assuming that, no matter who you are buying from.

BUYER BEWARE!!!! DO NOT BUY CARS FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!!!! Cars transmission went out after two months of buying. They are made to drive just enough to get you to buy it. Let my loss be your lesson!Pros-Great communication & they met me half way to deliver the car.Cons-When I went to go look at the car it was on the website at 208k the car actually had 217k. He did drop the price $800. I got there at 2pm and it closed at 3pm that day for some reason. I couldn t test drive the car that long due to it having no gas in it also couldn t get it checked out by a mechanic. With the price drop and me really needing a car for work I bought it. My mistake. !!!!!!!!!IF YOU BUY A CAR FROM THEM PLEASE TAKE IT TO A MECHANIC!!!!!!!!!!! The car I bought has multiple issues and Will be in the shop for acouple of days getting fixed. Car wasn t cleaned when I went to test drive it and had stuff from previous owner still in it. Be cautious and careful buying from them.

We texted & spoke on the phone with a few questions we had. We drove 2 hours to check out a car. Had it looked at by a mechanic. It had a few things that needed to be worked on (as expected with a used car). He immediately took the price down $500 when we told him what the mechanics found, and we were good to go! It was already reasonably priced, so that was just icing on the cake. Just a few quick papers and we were off. Not a mound of paperwork that you get a big dealers. Very easy and quick process! We are very happy with our purchase.Update 12/2/21:The minor issues that we assumed were needed were only the start. The transmission in the vehicle needed to be replaced which was extremely costly. Luckily we did have a coverage plan that came with the vehicle. I don t know if this was a fluke or is normal and we still paid a decent price but wanted to update the post to give the whole story

I bought a used car and when you buy a used car, you always take a chance. That part I understand; however, I wasn't expecting to have to spend $850.00 on the car just so it would pass inspection. The car was advertised having 75% tread on the tires, but when I went to get the inspection done, it failed because 2 tires had cords showing on the very inside of the tires. The tires looked good on the outside where a person could feel and see. Also, the front brakes had to be replaced before the inspection would pass. I had an alignment done while doing the tire replacement and 2 control arms needed to be replaced. They did come down $200 on the price and gave me a powertrain warranty included in the price; however, I am extremely disappointed the car failed inspection.

Parking lot was very congested. We had to drive down the street just to leave the lot because we couldn't make the turn out because the cars were all parked in disarray, and even down the street on side of the road. This unfortunately can be even more annoying to the customer who wants to just back out onto the highway again, because it is located on a blind hill. We test drove a vehicle that we wondered if was going to run out of gas. I suppose this was to make sure we wouldn't steal the vehicle, but then, we left our newer vehicle there anyway with plates on it. I called later to say I would like the vehicle I test drove if they would fix something. The owner assured me it would be fixed. So I said I would like to trade my vehicle in and bring it in 2 days when my wife was available, and we could talk about signing papers. The owner asked me to send in pictures and info on my pickup the next day. So I spent all the following day in the rain, unscrewing my toolboxes from the bed and removing my stuff out of the cab, and cleaning up the floors, so he could see what it would look like in trade, and figure the value. I didn't hear from him after I sent them in. So I texted him about the problem on his truck if it was going to be fixed because we would be coming in the morning. He texted me later, saying that he had his mechanic start on it already but didn't know the status of progress. When he heard that we would be coming in the morning, on our 2 hr drive there, he said he would make sure they finish it that next morning on our way there. My wife got off of work to go with me the next morning, and I contacted him to let him know we were heading out the door and would be there in 2 hours, and he shortly texted back and said he wouldnt be there til after 3pm. So my wife made arrangements to go back to work and get off later. So then he texted me around noon and said, his son sold the vehicle. So I texted back and said I guess his son didn't know I was interested in it from 2 days earlier. He never texted back or called. Nothing courteous or professional. In my opinion, that showed a misleading lack of communication on his part with his sales team, as well as me. I don't even know if he really had the mechanic work on the issue with the truck. Things weren't adding up completely; and i wondered if i would be facing other "runarounds" with them. When i get a bad taste of poor customer service one time, I never go back. So needless to say, i would rather deal with a big company where the courtesy and professionalism, and communication, sales lot, and even detail on their vehicles, is much more organized. Like some big companies, they'd be offering a better customer-relations reputation by holding a vehicle for at least 2 or 3 days for a customer who told them they want it. Most customers would be willing to wait 2 or 3 days, knowing they were next in line. But money talks and even some laid back small dealers would rather take the closest dollar over faithful, satisfied customers who expect honesty and professionalism. A situation like this, made me feel that they let someone else "cut in line". I can get over it if they can get over a bad review and another customer willing to not go back. I will never go back to this lot, and unfortunately it makes me wonder about other small dealerships who claim to be more friendly and flexible than the big companies.

Appreciate you guys working with me, even though I'm two hours away, and had to make multiple trips. I bought a 2008 Honda Ridgeline and it was in pretty good condition for the mileage and year. I decided to ignore the few low ratings on the page, and check things out myself. Everyone I encountered was polite, and very helpful. I think most of the negative reviews are from people not properly taking the time at the dealership to fully check out the vehicle to look at all the issues, or problems it may have, and then finding out about them after they purchase and drive away, and then act like it's the dealerships fault. Do your research on the vehicle, check the free CarFax, and like me you can call the last dealer that had possession, and the one before that, not every dealership is going to have every answer to every question but if you dig for a couple of days you can usually find out what you want to know. Worst comes to worst ask the dealership to see if you can drive the vehicle of your interest to a mechanic for a pre-purchase inspection. Thanks!

I bought a Accura RDX and in 90 days I had to replace the alternator, starter and water pump. Buyers beware! I think they are selling flooded cars?
