It's always a pleasant experience dealing with the folks at any of Tim Short's dealerships. It's not only the quality of the vehicles and the competitive prices but the friendly, family like, atmosphere at these dealerships. I have purchased at least a dozen vehicles from Tim Short's dealerships and the service beyond the sale is better than, I think, you could get at any dealership. The salesman, Darren Mullins, is always beyond friendly and helpful. I highly recommend that if you are in the market for a new or used vehicle contact Darren at Tim Short Chevrolet of Hazard.

Dear Eddie, and Tim Short Chevy,I wanted to express my utmost satisfaction with the service provided during my recent purchase of a Silverado truck from your dealership. From the moment I stepped onto the lot, your professionalism and knowledge were evident, making the entire process smooth and enjoyable.Your expertise in explaining the features of the Silverado, coupled with your patience in addressing my questions, truly set you apart. The personalized attention and genuine commitment to ensuring I found the perfect vehicle were greatly appreciated.Furthermore, the transparent and straightforward approach to the pricing and financing aspects made me feel confident and secure in my decision. It s evident that you prioritize customer satisfaction, and it has not gone unnoticed.I would highly recommend your dealership and, specifically, your exceptional service to anyone in search of a reliable and customer-focused car-buying experience.Thank you once again for making this purchase a positive and memorable one!!!

We found the salesman really easy to work with, honest, and professional yet treated us like family. We purchased a vehicle and would go back again when we need another car. The dealership is several hours away from where we live, but we would not hesitate to use them again. Wonderful service.

I don t leave many (any) reviews on stuff but this experience just seems wrong. Three Cadillacs in the family. Had occasion to take two of them in for service in the past few months. The first time was just a valve stem replacement, and everyone was pleasant and I left satisfied. The last time I called and explained to the lady that an HMI unit had gone bad, and I had a replacement that needed programmed to the vehicle. She said no problem but they charge $125 to program it. I said fine and made an appointment. After waiting about an hour they told me they weren t able to do it and my bill was like $137. I said but I was told by you guys that you could program it? She said no, he even called GM and it can t be done. I paid the bill and left, no sense in hollering at a lady who had nothing to do with it, except run my debit card.I came home, boxed the little unit up and sent it to an online place along with the Vin number of the car. They programmed it and sent it back and it works fine for $99.it s OK to not be able to do something you said you could do, but to charge someone as if you did it seems like bad business. -Appreciate your prompt response. Didn t ask for $ back and wont. There was no talk of maybe could do it etc. Said you could it was a matching GM part just needed programed to vin Anyone with any knowledge knows the radio theft message comes up when HMI is replaced until it gets programmed to the vin -White electronics somehow accomplished the task? Not interested in going back and forth just don t appreciate you acting like I misrepresented something because I described it accurately.

Poor customer service, won't return calls. Poor business all the way. They should do better. It's pathetic how the business is ran. Definitely lost a great customer. As my lieutenant once said prior proper planning prevents piss pole performance...

I purchased a used 2015 Cadillac CTS Premium with 38,000 miles from Cardinal for $25,000. The 1st month has been awful. So far I've had to spend about $2,700 on repairs. The gas gauge was going to E due to a bad sensor in the fuel tank. The CUE system does not turn on for the first 3 minutes after starting the car. Thus, I can't change the cabin temperature, radio station, or use the backup camera and we still haven't figured out the cause. So far the Cadillac dealer in Indiana has reprogrammed it and replaced the screen to no avail. The cabin temperature sensor was also bad causing the car to blow cold air despite being set at 80 degrees. All of these despite me asking the direct question, "Do all the features in this car work?" and being told yes.The icing on the cake was the dealer incorrectly filled out the title and the BMV in Indiana refused to register the car with actual miles. This will have a significant impact on the resale value when I get rid of this lemon.Lastly, I doubt they inspect their used cars. The Cadillac dealer located a GPS tracking device inside the car that appeared to still be active.

We came in with no expectations of getting a new vehicle or qualifying for it. Your sales people worked hard with us to put us in

Purchased a new Acadia on a Saturday afternoon. Rees the salesman was suppose to call us Monday to setup our onstar. Three days later was still calling to get him to set it up as we were leaving on vacation. He told us that if we finance that the extended warranty would be added in for no extra cost. So we agreed and signed the buyers agreement. Amount borrowed $10.000. We never received our finance documents as they said they would be mailed to us. I noticed our payment online and the coupon book was over $100 different. The bank could not explain why so after the bank was nice enough to help us pulled up our loan documents and $3400 was added for the extended warranty that we didn t even want. Also another $406 added for maintenance fee. Payoff was over $13. All this was snuck in without our knowledge. We have tried to call Tim Short in Hazard all day and get the run around from the lady answering the phone. Complete scam!! I will never buy another vehicle from them nor do I recommend anyone else too.

Kevin Stamper is awesome! I found a vehicle online, inquired about it, setup a time to test drive, and the rest is history! He even delivered the vehicle to me in lexington! Highly recommend these guys!

When I purchased my truck I got an extended warranty. I called before hand to confirm my coverage and status a week before taking it to the service department. After doing so I was informed that my way had been cancelled and that I could not be reinstated so the purchase and all payments was a waste

I went looking for a white 2022 or 2023 blazer! I had a 2019 Buick! Gus Stone is the sales person that talked with first, he says they just got a black one off the truck, no I wanted a white one, insisting that I try it out! I drove it and went back and said NO I wanted a white, I will wait, then the sale pitch started, maybe a long time, will be higher price and we have a lady waiting on me to say no. My friend from HARLAN was telling me that the sales men there was offering me a better deal! I told them I would wait and go with him! Gus got another salesman and wanted to know what would take to buy the car, he came down some and I was reminded again the car they had was right there and if I waited on the other car would be higher!! I had $10.000 for down payment and I felt that they wasn t going to let me leave! I felt so pressured that I went ahead and said yes! They couldn t get me out there fast enough and I wanted to get away from them !!! I drove the car back to HARLAN and on the way back I told my husband that I did not like the car! I called Gus Stone early that morning and he didn t answer his phone! Left a message that I had buyers regret and I wanted to bring the car back! I called 2 times after that! After not getting in touch with him I called the office and talked to the lady about returning the car, she said she didn t know how that works and put me to a man who said he didn t know and would find out and call me back!! NO return call! So I messaged on there messenger and after explaining what was going on, he informed me that it was to late that the loan had been processed and some one would follow up with me the following week!! Still waiting!! I am 72 years old and I have never been treated and pressured by anyone like Gus Stone and the other man! AND THEY DIDN T TELL ME ABOUT A REBATE THAT CAME WITH THE CAR!! I would never recommend someone to come to your dealership and if there was someone else higher up, I would report them!!!

Purchased a vehicle couple weeks ago, had vehicle 3 days and had to return it for transmission repair. They also charged me more than advertised price of the vehicle. Very poor customer service. I cannot get anyone to return my phone calls. Unfair trade and business practices. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone and I personally will never purchase from them again.

As everyone said here already, I got in touch with Allen through text message. He wasn t in office at the time but replied right away and scheduled an appointment the following day. Great service. This was my first time buying from a dealership and it went smooth as butter consider some of the complications I had like a low FICO credit going in. Would recommend to anyone looking in the market to give Allen a call or text.

Allen Webb was a fantastic salesman to work with. It is hard for me to believe that I just purchased a New Chevrolet Truck 9+ hours from where I live and the experience was excellent. Allen walked me through the entire process over the phone, text, and email. They even had a vehicle delivery man that I was able to hire to drive my vehicle to my house and bring my trade-in truck back to the dealership. I could not have asked for a better experience. Thank you Allen (salesman) and Junior (finance) for a fantastic buying experience!

We have gotten our Denali serviced here since moving to hazard. We bought our tires from this dealership. Set an appointment to get a blown tire replaced. They failed to order the tire. Then proceeded to act like it was our fault. Also they don't honor or warrant road hazard on their tires so you're better off going to Goodyear or Walmart which is what we had to do anyway because they didn't do their end of the job. Absolutely ridiculous the way we were treated.

Dealt with Tony McGuire. He text me to let me know vehicle was still on lot. I offered a reasonable offer on vehicle. He responded manager said he is sticking to internet price as listed. No negotiation just a hard no. I then asked him to provide the managers name and he ignored me from that point forward. I then sent an email asking for the information again. Still ignored.Completely rude to not respond or even try negotiating especially when ONE day later they lowered the price!Poor customer service and won t even consider a negotiation. Can t wait for things to get back to normal and this price gauging comes to and end and these sales people can get back to earning their money with common courtesy! These price gauging times WILL end and sales representative guys like Tony will learn a hard lesson about treating potential customers so bad.You want decent customer service I d suggest looking elsewhere!

The greatest experience I have ever had with a dealership. A man named gus, is awesome and who helped me buy my 2008 ford escape, and also helped watch my 2 year old son while making my purchase. So friendly and very nice. On my way home the caliber was stuck and it caught fire, they offered to pay for a tow truck, and a almost 700$ bill in repairs. I am very thankful for that, and very thankful for that awesome deal I got on my escape. Me and my family are very happy, Thanks so much.

Staff is amazing, and they delivered my new truck over 50 miles to me. They took my order and I new that it was a special order that might not even be available, but they pushed to get my build and unbelievably they got me one!! I m overjoyed to have my new 22 High Country 3500 Crewcab Duelly, and it has everything, including the kitchen sink. Thx again Tim Short!!

I question this company's honor and integrity...After searching online, found the perfect truck for our small business at Cardinal Automotive. Only potential issue was we are in Birmingham, AL they are in Hazard, KY. Working with Bill Deaton, our sales person, they seemed eager to make the deal work and agreed to drive to Birmingham for us for an extra fee.On Friday, August 5, 2016, we agreed to purchase the truck site-unseen and were going to pay their asking price! Emailed Brian back and he accepted the offer. All we had left to do was arrange the delivery and payment. On Saturday morning, spoke to Brian again just to clarify a few things for him and he again agreed everything was good. We were very happy so far and looking forward to getting the new vehicle (we have been looking for a while now!)Then, Brian called to let me know that they were selling the truck to someone else. Could not give me an explanation, but said it was "out of his" hands. I asked to speak to his manager. After putting me on hold, he told me the manager was too busy to talk.I am very disappointed with this dealership and would not recommend them to others based off of this experience.

I receive such poor service at the Lexington Don Franklin dealership on multiple occasions that I was worried what I would get at Tim Short. I was very pleasantly surprised. Tim Short employees are so professional, knowledgeable and friendly every time I ve dealt with them.

Awful awful awful... I drove 3 hrs to seal a deal having spoken to someone on the phone. They had all my information and the max payment I needed. They made it sound like all that needed to be done was sign the papers. I waited for almost 2 hours after I arrived. Test drove the car.. tires were bald and maintenance lights were on, felt like they didn't think I was good enough to purchase from them. Spoke to the FI manager and asked almost 200 more than I already said my max payment needed to be. No communication amongst staff. Wasted 8 hours. Did not feel like anyone was there for the customer. Bad experience.

Kevin Stamper went above and beyond to make sure we had what we were looking for in a very timely manner. I will definitely recommend Kevin and Tim Short to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle in the future. I also will be going to Tim Short and Kevin for all of my future vehicle purchases. Great buying experience this week.

Place is a joke. Sold me a $40,000 lemon. Check engine light came on about a week after buying. Another dealer confirmed that engine light had been on before but was cleared. Sent it back for service and had multiple things wrong with it. They helped out on bill but was still way too much. Got the vehicle back from them and now have more problems than we had before. The driver they had pick up my vehicle was nice. Sad to say he was by far the best part of this experience. Please reconsider before buying here. We will never be purchasing another vehicle here again. We have confirmed they do not inspect their trade-ins before reselling to the public. Will be filing a complaint with GM and KY Attorney General. Looking forward to receiving customer survey.

Some people dread taking their car to the service dept but that s not the case at this dealership. I m always met by friendly smiling faces. Your kept informed of your cars process an maintenance. You don t just buy a car an then your forgotten. Everyone, salesman, clerks etc, know you, remember you. Your part of a family. They take care of you from the date of purchase an on. I highly recommend Tim Short and the family!

I had scheduled an appointment for 11/23/2021 @ 10:00 AM to have my brakes looked at for squealing, wheel wells that had holes in them and a mirror that would not fold in on my 2020 2500 Silverado. Horrible service hands down. They clearly did not have me down on the books from the get go and had to get all my personal info and what I was there for despite having called and told them all of this before when I called and scheduled the appointment. They tried to tell me the brakes squealing was normal even GM has admitted that it is not and is due to low friction material being used on the original brake pads and recommended replacing with high friction material brake pads that are now being used and available with their currently available brake pads. Of course the service department tried to tell me they were not covered under the 36k bumper to bumper warranty. The Service department did not bother selling them to me and when I asked for a quote on brake pads they quoted me 753 and change. Which I do not have to tell any one familiar with automobiles is an extremely high price for brake pads. I called and got quotes from Sutherland Chevrolet on just the front brake pads, piecing the brake pads out and got a quote for 240 after taxes for the fronts and 240 for the rear pads. I am in need of an oil change as well but they did not bother selling me that either. I am guessing it is because of the price gouging the dealership clearly is involved in. As for being customer friendly absolutely not. Both of the ladies in the service department did not try and be nice in any way and were quite curt about the visit. Not even a smile. They came across as if they did not want my business or they did not want to do their job not sure which. Supposedly they ordered the mirror for my truck and told me they would call me when said part is delivered I am not holding my breath. The last interaction I had with them was them handing me my keys at which time I had to walk to both sides of the building to find my truck and it was tucked away in the back lot. So they would not even pull the pick up truck around for their customer. I would not recommend this place. While I do ok financially I know the greater community does not fair so well and this dealerships prices are outrageous and clearly does not care about how ridiculously priced their service is. I even went out of my way to ask if they price matched with service prices and all I got was I do not know. Since I just bought this truck a year ago and have a premier extended warranty with Ally Financial looks like this dealership lost out potentially on years of future work and added business. I guess Tim Short does not care. So be it. I will gladly drive out of my way to receive better service and cheaper prices. Wanted to add a follow up to this review. I did end up taking my 2500 Silverado to Sutherland Chevrolet. Turns out my brakes were under warranty to add insult to injury it turns out that Tim Short Chevrolet will only honor Chevrolet Bumper to Bumper warranty if it suits them. I am guessing the warranty payout from Chevrolet is not as much as their 750+ estimate to replace the brake pads. So Tim Short Chevrolet lied and said the brake pads were not under warranty, I believe Sutherland Chevrolet said normally brake pads are not under the bumper to bumper warranty unless Chevrolet has identified a defect in the brake pads which they had. Also had my mirror replaced by Tim Short and it does not look like they installed it correctly. So I will be going back so they can fix that.
