I recently stayed for the second time at this Holiday Inn Express and it will be my last time. I wish I could mention anything positive about my stay other than leaving this place the next morning. Twice at night I had to call the front desk to report problems in the rooms next to me, twice I was told it would be taken care of and it never was. At 1:30 am !!! the neighbors finally calmed down. The next morning, I asked for the manager and he wasn t in yet. An Email address for him could not be provided only a mobile number. At the check out I noticed the bill only showing a total charge with no breakdown for the room charge and the appropriate taxes. The person at the check-out was unable to fix this making the statement this is how the bill comes out. I stayed at this Hotel back in December of 2023 and the bill was perfectly fine. Anyway I called the manager and explained what was happening the night before and the issue with my bill not being correct. He apologized for my inconvenience and offered me a $30 credit and an updated bill showing the price breakdown including taxes minus the credit. This process took ALL DAY and in the end, after calling numerous times, he sent me the same bill just showing a $30 Credit on it. No price breakdown or taxes being listed. At this point, I was so frustrated that I sent him a copy of the December 2023 Bill (the bill showing the room charge plus taxes, etc.) to make it perfectly clear what was needed. I also added that the promised refund had not been processed. This was over a week ago and I still have not heard a word or seen the refund. For everyone traveling, you do have a choice to be smart about this Hotel as the management and staff seem incompetent to stand for the core values of an IHG-run Hotel.

The billing at this hotel is crazy they overcharged me but wouldn t take no for an answer. Definitely watch your billing!!& i left about $100 worth of shampoo conditioner body wash ect in the hotel shower I called back that same day at 3pm and asked if they had my belonging the manger rudely said no then hung up on me.. very unprofessionalthis hotel probably did have my stuff considering she hung up on me like how rude. That was after spending $850 here for 3 nights!!What a joke! . Never had a problem with a hotel until this place.

I'm giving it an overall score of 4 and a room score of 3.Stayed in the king, double queen bed suite. The room was very clean, but OMG very outdated, looked as if the last update was in the early 80's.I stay in hotels several days a month, and the interior of the room was just not up to the standard I normally see at a Holiday Inn. The prices did not reflect the dating of the room, they were the same as if it had just been remodeled.Again, the rooms were clean. The front desk staff were great, very friendly and helpful. They all did a great job. The breakfast was food as well.I'm not saying don't stay here, just don't expect a 2023 up to date styling of the room, but do expect to pay full price.

This hotel has to be the worst Holiday Inn I have ever stayed in. I stayed in the Queen Jacuzzi Suite and it is disgusting and very outdated. This has been my 4th stay here due to work and it has been the same thing every stay. There is no hand soap in the room or whole hotel for that matter they told me when I asked for some, blood on the floor, holes in the way and floor. Took an 8 minute shower and was standing in 4 inches of water, toilet doesn't flush. Completely unacceptable in my eyes. I am writing this review to let others know that this hotel is not worth it, there is a Hampton right down the road for about the same price. Seems the manager and employees simply do not care.

Front desk check in experience was great! Room 204 was clean. However, the shower tub does not drain. Within 10 seconds. The tub begins to fill with water. The walls are paper thin. You hear every footstep, door open/close, and conversation in the hall.Parking lot felt small and crampt. There's a mexican restaurant you can walk to from the hotel, so that's nice.I wanted to love my stay but this visit did not live up to my Holiday Inn Express Expectations. Next time, I think I'll try the Hampton Inn down the road.

Stayed to nights there back in October and was charged 50 dollars of incidentals and that s fine but it s been over a month now that I have tried to get my incidentals back. Called the hotel and they told me that that was IHG problem not theirs. So I called IHG and they told me they would call the hotel! The hotel said the manager was sick so nothing could be done. Today IHG called back again and The hotel told them that they refunded it so it ll be in my account in 10 days. It s just 50 dollars but it s the fact that the manager hasn t cared nor contacted me and it s been a month of this!

My husband and I recently stayed (Aug. 2023) and enjoyed every minute. Room spotless, beds were incredibly comfortable, service was prompt with a smile, breakfast offered a larger variety than other hotels. We look forward to our next visit. Thank you!Rooms: I can't think of a nicer bed. I wish I could have taken it home with me. LOLNearby activities: Downtown Hazard was very clean and interesting. People were nice and helpful with information, directions etc.Walkability: My husband is disabled but this hotel covered all his needs including easily accessible parking.Food & drinks: The breakfast hostess went above and beyond making sure we had everything we needed. Everything was clean and neat. Nice people.

The hotel was quiet after some lead footed kids upstairs when we first got there. We got a jacuzzi room. The room itself was nice but the hot tub left something to be desired. The hot water control had come loose inside the tub so we had to play with it to get it to come on which only gave us warm water instead of hot. It took about 2 hours of letting it run to get 1/2-2/3 full so we could get in. Once in we got in and turned the jets on we couldn't get them to turn off. It took a substantial amount of time to turn it off once we were ready to get out. All was reported to the front desk in the morning so they'll be able to fix it.

The room had issues. First of all. I smelled weed as soon as I walked into my room. Bathroom had broken tiles. Wall paper coming loose. The faucet in the tub was leaking. The light over the sink in the bathroom was out. The bed was poorly made. Maintenance came to the but didn t have any bulbs to fix the light. We had a suite and the bedroom door was very hard to close. No coffee in the room. In my opinion the hotel needs to be remodeled. However the breakfast was very good and the staff was friendly .

This is my second time staying here. The hotel smells so good as well as clean when you walk through the doors. Our room was clean the breakfast area was clean. I'm so glad you have cinnamon rolls.....the Holiday Inn in Sweetwater TN doesn't. One thing that was a bummer was the pool was closed. I hope it's open next time. I can not remember the desk clerks name, Friday 2-17-23, @ 3:30pm, but she was very pleasant. I enjoyed talking to her. See y'all next time!

I ended up with a 2 bedroom suite for the same price as a regular room with 2 beds. This happened over a misplaced reservation. The rooms were very clean and decorated in a modern uncluttered way and very stylish. They kept the room stocked and we had more than enough towels to go around. The employees were very pleasant and friendly. Also the clerks and housekeeping staff were professional and courteous and went above and beyond to make our stay an exceptional one.

I have stayed in this hotel at least three times. When I arrived, I learned that the indoor pool was not open....I made the reservation specifically because I had teens who could be entertained with swimming. I called the hotel direct when I made the reservation....I should have been informed when I called. I made the decision to stay, only to find out later that evening there was NO hot water!!!!!! Management was aware but again said nothing when I checked in. The next morning, when making coffee in my room, I found that all the coffee pods were decaf coffee. I asked for regular coffee pods only to find out they had none.....of course I could go to the breakfast room and get regular coffee, however, I like drinking a cup of coffee first thing in the morning before I shower and dress. All in all, this was a VERY disappointing stay. I will be back in the area but probably not stay at this property again.

I cannot say enough about how kind and hard working this entire staff is. I am from Columbus, Ohio and some would say I have city girl standards aka maybe a little high maintenance. When we first arrived to our room, there were a few items that I was unhappy with. I kindly let the front desk know, and not only were they up in our room within 5 minutes to fix the issues, they were genuinely apologetic! They took pride in their job and felt sorry I wasn t happy. They went above and beyond and offered us an entire new room that the manager of house cleaning had just cleaned herself briefly before our arrival. This hotel was the epitome of southern hospitality. There were minor things that made this hotel 2 or 3 stars, like small stains on furniture and some imperfections with the wall paper. However, the beds are five star comfortable, and the breakfast was included and wonderful. For the price, this hotel exceeded my expectations. I stayed here for two days and feel like they re extended family! LolSounds crazy but true. So kind, hardworking, and accommodating! Highly recommended!

My family and I recently stayed at this hotel while serving on a missions team. We have stayed in multiple hotels in Perry county and this one was the best. The staff was super friendly and accommodating, the rooms were spacious and clean, it was located right off the main road, and the breakfast was hot and fresh each morning. The pool was nice, albeit a little cold.Overall an excellent hotel for the price. We will stay there again and again

Not quite up to usual HIE standards. Room 416 needs repairs. Bathroom fan did not work, and judging by the mold on the ceiling, probably hasn't for a few weeks. Missing tile trim in bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. Good strong water pressure. Need better TV channel selection. Fast check in. Get busy on the repairs to get this location up to par.

Hotel staff is always really nice and friendly .our room was really very big and nice. Pool was way too cold. Water was 72 and should be between 78 to 82 our grandkids couldn't even swim because it was so cold that was the whole reason we stayed here . There teeth was chattering for what time they did get to swim about 5 minutes was planty of time. My wife got in the pool and said it was way too cold and she likes it cool but not this time.staff said this what corporate said the pool should be set at they are full of something I can't say what!!!

Fantastic hotel. The biggest percentage of my stays are at this brand of hotels. If there is a problem they will take care of it. Someone the night before had reprogrammed the TV so it only got one channel. They also did something to the remote so it wouldn't work at all. A real comedian. The front desk clerk took care of everything. I reprogrammed the TV. She went around the hotel to find me another remote. The the toilet continued to run ever time I flushed it. All this happened in a suite. So I talked to the manager in the he morning, he took $50 off the price of the room. I expected $20 or $25 would have made me happy so they really were the best.

My Dad was going to pay for our stay but they wouldn t except us paying with his card number or him paying over the phone. It was 1 am and we were too tired to go anywhere else. We got our room and it smelled like beer and cigarettes (we even found a bottle cap to give them). They did upgrade our room because the other double queens weren t available. 1:20am My children and I could finally go to sleep. Breakfast was pretty good and they had a good selection. My kids wanted to swim before we left out. The pool smelled like dead fish. I would ve gave a one star if it wasn t for the room change and breakfast. I definitely wish we picked a different hotel.

Clean and comfortable rooms. The bed was awesome! Slept like a baby. The front desk staff were beyond friendly! The breakfast is great and with high quality choices. There is a Keurig in the room which my husband loved. The water pressure is fantastic in the shower. Zero complaints and lots of compliments!
