If I could go with less stars I would. Receptionist was not friendly. Room 101 the AC was broke and no outlets worked. Room 105 smelled made my allergies flare up. Room 118 was rented by a friend the toilet wouldn't flush and there were cigarette burns in the bed sheets along with the smell in there was horrible. Unfortunately was the only available thing in the area for 1 night. Would not recommend. Oh and they don't serve breakfast and the pool is not open was drained and filthy.

I only stayed here one night due to the fact the Holiday Inn in Hazard canceled my reservation at the last minute. This place was awful. The room they put me in clearly had the door kicked down in the past. The toilet was not working in room so I tried to call front desk to ask for assistance, only to realize there was no room phone. Outlets did not work. There was a dead roach behind the nightstand, and mold on the walls. I had a sneaking suspicion that the bed linens had not been changed. After walking to front desk to ask for maintenance for the toilet, the clerk said she would send someone, but I had to go back again and she said she forgot to tell him. After he came to look at toilet, they moved me to another room. This room had zero towels in the bathroom and both rooms had a terrible odor. Unless you like these kind of amenities, do yourself a favor and DO NOT EVER stay at this hotel.

There is no free breakfast, even though it s listed on the web. The rooms are all smoke free but room 101 smells like a dirty ashtray. There was no toilet paper, tissues, or stopper for the drain plug upon arrival. The bed was surprisingly comfortable and the staff was pleasant

After 30 minutes waiting in the cold for a room key that worked and the clerk asking for a walk through of the room before we accepted it; I should have known better. We wasted $98 renting a room that reeked of pot smoke. It took us hours to adjust the broken room heater so the room was warmer than 65. In the morning we were treated to a shower without running water. The clerk apologized for the condition of the hotel and offered a full refund for the room. We were instructed to call back for a confirmation number. It took quite a while for the manager to return my calls. When she finally did call we had returned home, six hours away. The very rough and crude manager accused me of lying about the heat and said her clerk filmed the running water in the tub. Perhaps it had thawed by then? For such a large hotel I understand why we were one of only 3 occupied rooms in the hotel. From the cigarette burns in the carpet to the do not rent list on the lobby wall I honestly should have known better. The actual quality hotels in the area were at full capacity and when I asked their clerks to recommend another hotel they said there wasn't another they would recommend. I completely understand why.

I checked in as a walk in and met Kay. She let me see a few rooms and took the time to make sure my needs were accommodated. It was my birthday and I traveled yo Hazard yo see where my family came from and mountains. She made sure I was in a room with the best view of the scenery and was kind and wonderful. The bed was very comfortable and the four pillows were perfect. Any issues with the rooms themselves (having seen a few) were mickey mouse that I have also seen at $1,000+ per night hotels. The room was clean and bug free and there was sufficient lighting and security cameras that I did not worry about my belongings and people were not hanging out in the parking lots. The property itself is very clean, too. I don't recall seeing a single cigarette butt.In the morning, the lady at the front desk told me about Frances Diner, which was delicious and they helped me find the old family business!I couldn't have been happier with my stay. The rooms were clean and bug free, the property was clean, the rates were appropriate to the property and location, and every employee I encountered genuinely cared I had a nice stay. Please give it a try!Side note: This part of Kentucky is economically depressed a d this property is locally owned. Book directly by calling the property. Places like Expedia and Priceline take big commissions for booking the room through them. Call directly to book, you'll pay the same or less!

It was clean. Everything looked really nice. They even had small bottles of hand sanitizer for each room My only complaint is the tub had a few small hair but I always bring Clorox wipes anyways so...nice stay overall

Hotel experience was overall good despite a couple minor annoyances. We couldn't get cold water out of our sink, the AC was pretty loud even on the low setting, and the wifi didn't work for us. The important stuff was all there though. The room was very clean, the beds were comfy, and the breakfast was great (bacon, eggs, waffles, biscuits). Price was good for what we got. Would stay here again.

Was in Hazard for a funeral, walked into my room at Hilltop Lodging, and before I could even set my bags down, I saw a bed bug crawling across the bed! Disgusting. 10/10 would not recommend.

One of the worse places I have stayed. It was dirty and they don't clean properly with covid. The general manager was called due to a bike got flipped over in parking lot and she said it was not her job to come in and look at cameras and she was hateful and extremely rude. The rooms were not clean the blankets on the bed were dirty and the wash rags looked like someone had used them and put them back. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone

Dana and Angelina are just awesome. We went for disaster relief as a result of the storm. They took us in and did not charge for the first night. We really appreciate their kind gesture. Thank you

The room I was given smelled like cigarette smoke really bad. Also the cable wasn't working on the TV and I only had 4 channels to watch. The next day when I checked out I was told that they would give me a discount on the room. The following day I looked at my bank statement online and seen that not only did I not get a discount, I was charged an additional $15. So naturally I called them about it and was told that they could correct it. So I waited another day and checked my bank account again and they did reimburse me the $15 that they took out so now I am back to paying full price to the room but never did get any kind of a discount. I definitely will not be staying there again.

Never had any troubles after my stay at a hotel. During check-in, the lady took a photocopy of my driver's license and credit card. Informed me it had to happen in case of damage to the room - even though the room was already in horrible condition. I did not question it even though it was a first. Come to find out, charges out of Hazard KY for $2,000+. Reported to police department and Hazard Police said there are several reports out of that hotel... Be alert if you stay here!

Very understaffed, redcross flood victims were there, therefor this large hotel was full with only two cleaners an 1 front desk worker which slept and worked behind the counter.. my room was not teady at 2am when i arrived, an im pretty sure it wasnt cleaned it was just tidied up from the last customers.. Towels and wash cloths were stained or just filthy.. I left a day early because i felt dirty after sleeping there. The workers were very kind and I really felt like they were doing everything they could, but the lack of employees and tools to keep this hotel up an going made it a dirty disaster..

This place was great.Got in late and the front desk person was a big help getting us checked in and in the room quick. Beds were good and the room was clean.Plus it was just up a little hill from a bunch of restaurants and convenience stores.Great TV channels too--Playoffs were on and we were worried if they'd have the channel. They did!

The service was friendly and helpful, and the room was clean. Everything worked as expected. My only thing is that it was a king room but only had 1 wash cloth, and half roll of toilet paper. But a trip to the front office and two rolls of TP and two wash cloths later all was good! Great room over all!

Room was clean and nice. Pool was also very clean and our family had a lot of fun swimming. The breakfast was really good however we did witness the eggs come out of a bag. They were still really good eggs though. Breakfast bar did run out of food quickly but they restocked it fast. The only complaint is we noticed what looked like guests going back into the food prep area while they left their kids at the breakfast table. Turns out they were employees. I don't think they were working at the time but it was strange to see. There were several people who we thought were guests with their kids eating that weren't actually guests. Then when we went to check out, nobody was at the front desk. Check out is 11, we were are the desk at 10:50. A busy time for check out. Yet the front desk lady was eating breakfast with her kids. Just very unprofessional. We would however stay here again, they were lenient on check in time and were very nice.

Im sorry to say I was totally disgusted with this place. Probably never stay there again. Starting off, desk clerk had a attitude. Not friendly at all along with the other employees. Ice machines were ALL not working. Pool was not open. Many refrigerators were out. Some guest brought in the new ones and installed them themselves. We pretty much had the whole hotel booked. You would think they would appreciate the business in this beautiful town. And when checking out, they wouldn't offer any discounts. A damn shame!

Let me start at check-in. The lady was very slow at the front desk. I had booked 2 rooms the first room we entered was taken my key opened the door and we went in. There was someones clothes and the TV was on. I returned to the office and there were 5 more people with the same problem the computer was double booking the rooms. After 47 mins she finally got us new rooms. The parking lot was full of people playing music and drinking which was not all bad if you like to drink and listen to music all night. This place is not a good hotel to stay at. I have been a choice member since 2000 and this was one of the worst

Wi-fi did not work properly whole time we stayed there. There was mold on the wall. Bathroom looked so old. One of the lamp was not working. Breakfast was alright but tables did not look clean. We wanted towels but room service forgot to drop. Fridge was not working. The hotel needs some update and better service. In general it is little below average except wifi was horrible and we hear all noises from next door.

Nasty shower and small beds. The sheets were dirty. Front desk lady was very rude to multiple people and just simply did not know how to do her job. If you ask her for the wifi password she says "try all the wifis, not sure which one, but I think this is the password. If that doesn't work then I can't help". Probably the worst hotel I've ever stayed in

I will never stay there again. The pictures on the site are not accurate The room was very hot when we arrived. After we carried our bags in we turned on the air that literally sounded like an airplane engine. The water pressure is horrible took 30 minutes to full up the whirlpool tub shower floor was so slick I had to hold onto the wall during my entire shower so I would not fall. Went out to the pool and the water was green with scum and bugs Could not get connected to wifi at all. I told the manager and all he said was "sorry your stay was not satisfactory. Paid $92 a night and it was not worth 40

Rusty shower bar. Black mold in the bathroom. The lamp didn't work. They didn't keep up with the breakfast very well. We arrived 20 minutes after breakfast started, no regular coffee, no hot water for oatmeal, sausages were gone, no biscuits. It took a while to get it replenished. The price was reasonable for what you get. Pool was very small.

Horrible experience! Upon checking in our card did not work - not too big of a deal but then the room itself smelled awful. Cigarette burns on the bed, roaches in the bathroom, and a broken tv.Upon complaining about the tv - the response was there is nothing that could be done other than have maintenance look at it - no offer to switch rooms. The lady at the front also could not tell us when the event in the ballroom was taking place, nor could she help us with the temperature in the ballroom. The bathrooms in the lobby are disgusting, the breakfast food was left out all day and night (don't eat the bagels it boiled eggs!!) and the service is atrocious. take your money somewhere else, this place sucks!

Nice place. Great water pressure, cable, Wi-Fi. Bed was comfortable. When I stay at a hotel, two things are important to me. The bed and the water pressure of the shower. This place had an outside entrance into the room. The room was updated recently and the bed was comfortable. The heater kept the room warm as I was there in late November. The internet was great and the staff was professional. I will stay here again if I ever need too.
