I stayed here for three weeks while on business. Location is great, staff is friendly and willing to help, but the rooms are terrible. I had to move rooms three times during my stay because of cockroaches they finally moved me to a newly renovated room on the first floor and within 1 day the roaches stared appearing again. When I informed the staff I was told the owers want them to mix the chemicals themselves and then go spray room to room.Rooms: All bedding has cigarette burn holes in them. And wierd brownish stains. Bright pink or blue is the color choices you get for wall color and the 10 layers of peeling paint in the bathrooms show the age.Noteworthy details: Most equipment in the hotel is broken or breaking and when you speak to a staff member about it they all tell you the owners will not allow us to upgrade stuff.

All of the staff at this place is super. They will help a person out any way they can. Most of the rooms have been updated. They're in the process of doing that now during the off season. It is located very close to the Land between the lakes which is a beautiful wildlife area. Only about 15 miles from Paducah Kentucky where you have stores for anything you need. This was not my first time coming here nor will it be my last. I absolutely love the place and the staff make me feel like it's my home away from home. I do have to give Shannon props for handling whatever situation comes her way with grace, manners and a congenital attitude.Rooms: Spacious and well supplied. Maid service every day if you want.Nearby activities: Kentucky lake and lake Barkley are extremely close as is the land between the lakes.Safety: The people here make you feel like family. They watch out for you and your property very well.Noteworthy details: Shannon, the manager, will bend over backwards to accommodate most any need a weary traveller may have.

Terrible air conditioner didn't work no ice or vending machines staff was terrible the room was nothing like they advertise the electrical situation is a complete fire hazard not to mention they have yet to refund my money as promised oh no they refunded it and took it back before I even knew it was there my bank caught it. This place needs to have a surprise inspection and or be shut down and fined.

Great rooms at a great cost. Very scenic and in-between lots of amusement and trails. Great staff and very friendly-family environment. Improvement are being made daily

Don't judge a book on it's cover! The people at the front desk are super friendly! The rooms are clean, homey and pet friendly! We had a king with a couch and it was very large and spacious with hardwood floors. The housekeeping staff are very friendly and bend over backwards to accommodate you. Quite and safe location. Close to local eateries, fishing and a beach is only 5 mins away. Highly recommend if you are in the area short or long-term.

Do not stay here. They got meth heads and god only knows. The woman next to me had different men running in and out all hours of the night. I was here on business and had to stay here for a few months. Definitely got a refund a left. I did not feel safe hereSafety: Did not feel after seeing all of that. I left and do not Recommend this place. Not a place to bring your kids

Ive been staying here for the past month and a half absolutely love the staff very polite havent really had a problem with bugs there is alot of people who stay here that work different shifts so some traffic is normal but usually everyone minds their own business probably going to be here awhile longer honestly dont wanna leave if i can afford to stay

if I was to add photos to what I walked into and seen of this place I am absolutely certain the health department would just close this place they would demolish it and transport it out in biohazard sacks. ill decide later what photos are even acceptable to share on here.i have seen cleaner animal shelters that where state owned...that sum it up?

Me and my husband are driving across the country and found this place by accident and decided to book a stay. We liked it so much we decided to stay another day before driving on. I'm very happy we found it. Great price, peace and quiet, and the woman at the lobby desk is very kind. The pool wasn't open yet due to weather so I can't say much about it(it's colder yet so not open) but they do have one. They have free breakfast too and it was nice. If we ever come this way again we'll definitely stop here. It's been great. Definitely recommend to those looking for a place to stay. They are also pet friendly!

Soo..... The pool was awesome! Like really awesome! Other than that .... It's sub par at best. The entire Hotel in general seems to be in a great deal of disrepair. It looks like it was probably "The" place to stay on the lake back in it's prime, but today is not prime for this hotel. I shared the room with a family of crickets, a couple beetles, and a gang of moths, but they were all respectful and non confrontational. ... No roaches or bed bugs though and that is what's important! The people here were very nice and friendly, and we're overly helpful when they didn't have to be and that says a lot. So.... If your okay with this being a more "primitive" cabin type situation, it's not a bad place. But if your looking for an actual hotel aesthetic... Drive 3 miles up the road to Calvert City.

My husband and I are traveling and we're booking rooms in advance. When we checked in the counter lady was very polite. When we got the room it smelled of stale smoke, it was dusty, the floors were dirty and there was what looked like dog hair on the bed. NOT COOL! There was 1 dingy looking towel for the 2 of us. When I washed my hands I could here water dripping, there was a bucket under the sink and when we finally found someone to tell them about it we were given another bucket. Well not be returning and will most definitely not recommending!

The building is being upgraded and is under new management. The staff are wonderful and took care of our every need. The in-ground pool was wonderful and clean. They are a pet-friendly establishment and had plenty of room outside for our pets relieve themselves and play. My family will look forward to seeing how the place will look in the near future and stay here again. Thank-you for a nice stay.

This place is obviously an older place, but everything worked fine. It was VERY clean. Bed is soft, but not mushy & is a normal height..not 4 ft off the floor like some of those other motelsStaff is very friendly. Affordable but very good place to get a nights sleep or a weeks stay.

I haven t stayed in this hotel in many many years. I have such great childhood memories here. This used to be a Holiday Inn. It was beautiful with a formal dining room, an indoor and outdoor pool. Conway Twitty stayed there and ate breakfast in the dining room. This was THE place to stay back in the 70 s and early 80 s.

My husband and I paid for a month upfront. After a week we were both feeling ill, stuffy and body aches. We then noticed black mold in the bathroom, right behind the night stand next to the bed, and on the mattress! We explained that the fan was not working in the bathroom and this is why the moisture is stuck. We bought our own fans and mold killer spray to clean it up. When we alerted the hotel staff of the problem, the owner tried to convince us it was fine. My husband even offered to help him fix the bathroom fans since he is an electrician.Eventually they agreed to move us to a new room. The day after we moved he came to tell us that the mold was our fault and we damaged his property. He said we had to get out immediately with no refund. He started aggressively yelling at us and threatened to call the cops on us. So we called the police first and filed a complaint with the health department.These owners are reckless and outright rude. Avoid at all costs.

It was not that clean, the office staff was so rude. No internet the whole time we was there and no blankets and the worst pillows ever and only two wash clothes for three people. The fridge that they have food in for breakfast isn't that cold so the milk was very bad it was so chunky. Also they have roaches and mold in the rooms. Avoid this place

The place was clean but is an older hotel/motel. I came on very late and the poor guy helping me was very nice. I think I woke him up.

For about a Grant and a few Washington's the place was awesome. Great breakfast was offered as well. The only thing that needed improvement in my book was the Wi-Fi .
