We very unexpectedly ended up here. We broke down on our way through (300 miles from home). We were met by Christy in a very clean and well kept space and our car was immediately evaluated. The issue was major (we needed a new engine). While we didn t end up finishing the service here because of some warranty issues, I can honestly tell you we were blessed to meet this team. Christy did a great job explaining things and honestly stood as a wonderful and persistent advocate for us when working with the warranty company. We are grateful for the service they provided us and would recommend them to anyone in the Georgetown area (or anyone who unfortunately breaks down on their way through town)! Thank you all again!

Great, the dog cookies are still there. Bring your pet for a treat but don't mistaken them for a snack they taste flat!!!! The oil change was done! Great Job. KD checked safety issues and I was ok remained in the waiting room with my safety harness! Happy camper. No fire hydrant though????JW

Did a solid job. Have only had an oil change here so far but will continue to do business here. Way better going with a local, family-owned company than a corporate owned company that only care about numbers.

Staff super friendly, pricing reasonable. Small waiting room has the most comfortable chairs of any waiting room I think I've been in.

Extremely helpful and kind all the way through. I recently purchased a vehicle that had many problems, they repaired each and everyone that they could, and when they couldn t they referred me to someone who could get the job done. Would recommend their service to anyone and everyone, special thank you to the staff because they were communicative through the whole process and made sure to keep me in the loop, even when there were delays.

No stars** had to take my car to another facility due to everytime KD thought they had the job done they didn't and cost me more money each time. The wonderful people at Capital Auto in Frankfort got me together. Just an FYI if you want to pay 500$ more for a job go to KD. Lesson learned.

Really lovely sweet people, they did a great job on my Jeep! I broke it, they fixed it, and tbh it rides smoother than before (just always tow your car on all 4s). My parts took a bit to come in (week and a half-ish), but that's not on them. Once they had them, my car was done exactly when they said it would be which was like by the next morning. Will be coming back for any more of my mess ups

I got off the interstate halfway through my travels and the motor in my car felt like it was trying to shake itself apart! I was directed to KD Auto, who quickly diagnosed that my ac compressor clutch was broken, and that the broken clutch caused the rotation of the compressor to be off balance.They got me on the road the next day before hotel checkout, and would have had me out the same day had they had the correct part in stock .People: 10/10Service: 10/10Price: 10/10

If I could leave less than 1 star I would. This was hands down the worst experience I've had with a repair shop. Save yourself the frustration and take your business elsewhere. Tried to overcharge me, made to feel like the issue they couldn't fix was my fault, and was literally laughed at and called names to my face by Kenna, the owner. They had our car for almost 5 weeks with lots of back and forth. We had two sets of services one was fulfilled. The other eventually ended with us getting our car back without the original issue resolved and us having to fight tooth and nail to get a refund. Someone else I know had a similar experience at one of their other locations, so it seems like a company wide issue. Also worth mentioning: they have a D+ rating with the BBB.

Took my 2023 Nissan rogue in for a 20,000 mile service. They were fast honest and reliable. Another place had told me that I needed to have my turbo cleaned, KD said that they had never heard of that I will keep taking my car there, and was very satisfied.

Great experience!! They took their time to look at problems and gave me the options to repair. Put on transmission pan gasket. But after they were done. The new gasket was faulty, so they replaced it with another new gasket with no charge to me. Also looked at electrical problem, had low battery, and bad starter. Charged the battery with no luck battery was not holding charge, replaced battery and put on new starter. Truck starts with no problems, wrapped starter with heat wrap ( that I provided) at no additional cost. Great customer service!Services: Transmission, Battery

I took my Corvette to KD Auto Repair (Georgetown) in June to have the A/C looked at. I thought it was just needing to have some coolant put into the system. While looking it over, they discovered that my harmonic balancer was wobbling. They took a video of it to show me what was occurring and explained to me what might happen if I didn't address the situation.I drove the car home and called back to have them order the part and schedule me in.To make a long story a little shorter... it took FOUR MONTHS for the part to become available. This was NO FAULT, whatsoever, on the part of KD Auto Repair. The part was just not available to be purchased.I called several times, during that period, and asked if they'd check on the availability of the part. They were always very courteous and accommodating and would call to check on the part's availability.When the part FINALLY became available, they called me and told me that it was available and asked if I wanted to go ahead and proceed with the purchase and replacement of the part. I told them yes and the procured the harmonic balancer and got me scheduled in for the very next day.They did a wonderful job on the replacement and the car is running in tip top condition.And... I'll add in... there wasn't a scratch to be found anywhere on the body of the car. I keep it in the garage and am familiar with each of the very few scratches on the vehicle and they did not cause a single scratch to the paint anywhere.I am VERY pleased with the service I received at KD Auto Repair and won't hesitate to take my car back up there for service.

I would not recommend them to anyone. My engine light come on and I could tell it wasn't firing so they ran a diagnostic test on it. The said all cylinders were running at 120 and my engine needed replaced. I read their website that said they would trouble shoot the problem which obviously they did not. I took it somewhere else they ran the test and all 4 cylinders were running at 180, with a little trouble shooting he found that a wire had been cut. Had they checked at all they would have seen this. Stay away from this place. They charged me over $200.00 to tell me I needed to replace my engine. You have been warned!! Go at you own risk!! As for me never and I do mean never again will I take my vehicle there.Service: Engine repair

Working with this auto shop has been a disaster. We originally took our truck here for an alignment and replacement of ball joint and lower control arm replacement. We waited for almost 2 weeks for them to work on our vehicle. When called they explained that only one side of the lower control arm needed replaced. We told them to do whatever they needed to do to get the truck back on the road. We agreed and they were to do the work. We went to pick up the vehicle and noticed a popping sound. My husband looked at it and noticed that the control arm had not been replaced, but a new ball joint was put in. I realize that there was a perhaps a misunderstanding or miscommunication. We paid $1300 . We call them back once we realize the control arm was not replaced. They then tell us that both control arms need replaced. Which is different from what we originally were told. They quote us an additional $900. When we tell them that we were originally told we only needed one, they called back and said they would replace one for $700. The whole experience has been a huge nightmare and a costly one at that. We were trying to stick to a local repair shop but we were not impressed at all with the work.

Had a great experience getting the oil changed in my Civic. Not only were they easy to work with to get my appointment set up, but they were able to come pick up and drop our car off at no extra charge. With our busy schedules, this was a huge convenience and very much appreciated. I had a minor issue with my vehicle that they brought to my attention, but unlike other places, I felt no pressure to get it fixed right away and they were thorough explaining what exactly it was. Affordable, convenient, and good people to work with.. highly recommend KD Auto in Georgetown!Service: General repairs & maintenance

I was getting new tires and needed alignment, I called several places KD was the least expensive. The guy I spoke with (I forgot his name) was very nice. I work third shift and needed to get the alignment done on my way home, I drive for a living so scheduling an appointment is difficult, they basically took me in as a walk in. They had me in and out in no time. I do much of my own work on vehicles, but I will definatly will need them again. ThanksService: Steering & suspension repair

Have used KD for scheduled service on my Outback since my warranty ran out. Just had 60,000 mile service completed. This service group is excellent and very professional....was referred to them with the understanding that they may not be the cheapest in town,but was pleasantly surprised at how fast and affordable they had me back on the road. Thanks KD auto! You guys are great!

After having front brakes installed and taking our van in several times because we knew something was not correct, we were told everything was good with front brakes but our back brakes needed replaced. we took it for a second opinion and found out the brake hose was twisted which didn't allow brake fluid in and that our rear brakes did not need to be replaced.

I want to share a good experience with this shop. They took great care of my car, a BMW, and they can adequately service it, diagnose it, and repair it. They went above and beyond, and certainly out of their way with communication, helping arrange towing, as well as transportation and pick up.
