Freddy is fantastic. My car broke down on my way home and he was in the garage late. He was very flexible and helped me have the time I needed to secure the car part. He was also fair on the labor costs. I would recommend Tropical Transmissions to anyone in the Frankfort area who needs work done.

I was very pleased with Freddie. After a dealership told me my transmission was bad and needed to be replaced, I took it to Freddie for a second opinion. Freddie was very detailed in his trouble shooting and explained all his steps to me. My transmission needed the fluid changed and that resolved my issue. I highly recommend Freddie.

I went in thinking my transmission was shot and Freddy Valdez was the only mechanic in Frankfort that picked up their phone.I m so glad he did!As someone who knows nothing about cars I could tell he wasn t trying to take advantage of that. He showed me pictures, went over prices with parts for me, and had a very reasonable labor fee. My car was fixed fast, and is driving as great as the first day I got it.Cannot recommend this place enough!

He helped me when it was very late in the day and I had no other options. I had never heard of this place before but it was the closest to me , he was very knowledgeable trustworthy, he was vwry good about explaining issues and helping me understand the problems im not real knowledgeable about. Prices aren't bad at all. He's not a mechanic who will take advantage of you. I will definitely be going back. I recommend this place . I doubt you'll find one bad review. I appreciate you all alot for working with me.

I recently used tropical transmission to have my transmission replaced on a 2003 Chevy Avalanche 4 by 4 because of the 3rd and 4th gear slipping. Freddie helped me with everything and I am very happy with the service, speed of work, and price. Freddie always took time to explain to me what he was going to be doing and answered all of my questions. His communication is outstanding. Freddie is extremely knowledgeable and had a great attitude. I was comfortable with my choice to use tropical transmission the whole time and my truck runs perfect now.

I called Tropical Transmissions on a weekday morning. The owner, Freddie, answered. I asked for a service and an appointment. His price was lower than his competition, however, Freddie didn't stop there. He asked me the make and model of my vehicle and typed it into the computer. He found that my car would not be served by such a service due to its type of transmission. He advised me to take a test run and phone him back within the hour. He could not help himself from helping me and asked for nothing in return. His knowledge about cars was on the money but his service priceless. Go to this guy if you want honesty and hard work at a very far price.

Freddy is awesome. Knows his stuff. With only two real choices for trans work on island be prepared to get an appointment a month out or more. But what can ya do. We live on as island options limited. ;-)

Great experienceFred was able to repair the truck in a descent time...worked on sunday and got it done. Runs great and the price beat everyone else.Dont hesitate to choose Tropical Transmission.Mahalo FredCheeeeewhoooooo

This place is awesome he has great knowledge of transmissions and is very personable and understanding and upfront with you and will explain your options, over all I would recommend tropical trans to anybody that needs transmission work done.

My friend had transmission problems and too it to tropical transmission and they fixed it up cherry car was smooth and top shape buga even chirp da tires
