The older Mr. Broughton and his son Dillon came out to check our job. They were very professional and so very nice and took their time to measure and talk about our job. But several months passed without hearing from them, so I called to see about getting our project started. BUT, another son, who s name I did not get, answered my call. When I told him it had been a while and I wanted to find out if they would do my project he began shouting a tirade of complaining that left me unable to even interrupt with a comment. He said that his brother had been deployed and it was just he and his father and they were very busy. I said I understood, but need to know something so I could find someone else if they didn t want my business. This made him angry and he told me that they didn t NEED my business, they didn t make their living off people like me, they had contractors and businesses that were their bread and butter, that for me to do just that and take my business elsewhere! He continued saying that people call him up every day to cuss him out . Those comments are just what I can recall of what was a very long rant, unlike anything I ve ever heard coming from a business person or for that matter anyone talking to someone who they don t even know. When I was able to interrupt the stream of words coming from this man, I assured him that I would NOT be cussing at him and that I just needed my repairs. He told me if I removed each window sash myself brought the window to him each morning I could return each evening and pick it up at a certain time. I told him maybe I d do this. When the call ended and I thought about this conversation I began to feel so disrespected and actually sick to my stomach. I m an older woman with a handicapped son. I would have to remove 20 window sashes making a minimum of 2 trips per 10 windows at 35 miles travelled daily totaling over 350 miles minimum and then reinstall the sashes myself. What if they didn t get around to the repair that day? If the window wasn t finished my house would be open to the elements and an easy target for break-ins. I became angry at myself after talking to this man and being nice to someone who talked to me so rudely and in such a manner that made me feel like he was doing me a favor and that I was a wicked witch. Perhaps this man was just having a very very bad day and I apologize to the older owner of this business and the young son who were so nice to me, but I cannot be a customer of your business since I never want to have contact with the man with whom I had such a disturbing nearly one sided conversation. The three stars are given only because of the first pleasant contact visit with the older gentleman and nice young man.

I had a side window put in, It was a next day fix the men that work at the glass shop came in on a weekend to put my window in. It was a fast and easy fix. The glass looks great they were nice and professional . Thank you Broughton's..

If you need glass, this is the place to go. These are some good home town guys that will take care of you for any glass related project you have going on. Home , auto or business.
