Had to get a starter for my vehicle, they did the work well with no issues thus far... but...My lackluster review is representative of their lackluster customer service coming from one single person at the company. The warranty company covering the repairs was a bit of a headache due to them not working with Ken Towerys previously and needing documentation from them to ensure they were an officially licensed repair shop. I understand that no one really likes dealing with warranty companies and waiting on paperwork, however, after I sat on hold with the warranty people for nearly an hour to speak with a human, I then conference called Tim from Ken Towerys (the am receptionist) in for what was less than 3 minutes of conversation to try to get their information sorted out for the warranty company, to have Tim get pissed off and tell me to "deal with it" and hang up, was terrible customer service and did not represent their company well. The whole situation was hinging on him getting information to the warranty company, and him doing this which led me to have to re-connect and wait another 45 minutes on hold to talk to get it sorted out with the office attendant who came in later in the day. I'm a full time engineer who doesn't really have time to deal with this but I sat on hold multiple times and did everything in my power to make this go smoothly, and the guy who's job is to literally take care of this at Ken Towerys was upset and short tempered nearly every time he was contacted, and there were multiple instances that the information he told me did not match what the warranty people said was communicated to him and what was communicated to me. This interaction was so poor I ended up apologizing to the warranty company for his bad behavior and assured them I would not be taking any of my vehicles back to them for service under their warranty. It's a shame and a dis-service to all their great mechanics that did their jobs perfectly and to the other office manager who works later in the day who treated us well. They are the only reason my review isn't one star. I don't like the warranty company either and was equally if not more frustrated than he was, but it's important to remember that while we cant control every situation, we can certainly control our own actions and how we treat others regardless of circumstance.

My son took his 2018 Nissan Altima in for new rotors and brakes. Less than 6 months later when you pressed on your brakes the grinding noise was beyond terrible. I called for him white he was at work to find out what warranty he had on the repair work he had done. By this time the warranty was no longer valid. No way did they replace what he paid them to do.I went and had to buy new brakes and rotors because the brake pads were wore completely down.I would never recommend this business to anyone. They don t do the work but they sure take your money.

We were stranded on the side of the road and we called a tow service which called Ken's and let them know we were on our way. They close at 7. We made it by 6:45 and no one would change the tire until the next morning. We had to get a hotel for over $200, and the next day when they opened at 7:30 the mechanic that would not stay the night before was an hour late. Finally around 9:00 they picked us up from our hotel and we were on our way. The problem is we were supposed to be at a machine show by 9:00 which means we had to hire someone to unload our semi that was waiting on us and set up our booth. The lack of care for the customer cost us a lot of time and money.

I have gone to Ken Towery for years for oil changes; and at times, to purchase tires or other services. The customer service and other services have always been great and the prices reasonable. I also appreciate the free check up of fluids, brakes, and tires, and that they make me aware of concerns but have never tried to push other services on me.

They are not customer friendly. I decided to give them one more chance after they took two weeks to fix my vehicle last time. This time they charged me $115 for a diagnostic fee and told me they couldn t fix my issue. To add insult to injury they quoted $1400 for a brake job. I paid the diagnostic fee and took my car elsewhere. I won t be back.

Don't waste your time at this location. I don't know what has happened with this company in 2023 but I now understand why almost all of their mechanics left and went to Toyota next door for a new job if this is the way this establishment conducts business.Had a fuel pump installed back in September of 2023 for a little over $1,200. Drove the truck for 5 days and it broke down on me trying to leave work. Was a lemon fuel pump they got from their parts distributor, and I get it that sometimes this happens...especially with the lack of quality control in this country these days. Was told to have it towed in and that I would be reimbursed for the tow.I have been into the store over 6 times in the last 4 months and have spoke with both the store manager David Colgate and the stores assistant manager Tim Biery on several occasions via phone to try to figure out the situation. Both of these gentlemen have given me every bit of assistance they themselves can by sending emails to corporate and their district manager asking to either contact myself via my phone number which they listed in emails or to contact the store itself, but after 4 months of being told to call back every Monday if I don't receive a check in the mail, this has gotten to the point where it is past ridiculous. Now I will say, after not receiving any further insight from their district manager or anyone from corporate on the $103.50 they owe me for the reimbursement of the tow I had to pay for due to the garbage parts they install, I will not be giving this company any more of my business and I will be telling everyone for as long as I live not to do any work with Ken Towery as it has been made very apparent that they do not care about the people who bring this company business in turn taking our hard earned money and not doing as they say they will nor even doing the right thing as a business. This is literally robbery! They wouldn't let you take your vehicle if you did not pay in full for the work completed I bet but they have no problem keeping your money for their mess up and letting you drive down the road. At this point I am only left to believe that it is in hopes that they don't hear from me again and I just take the $100 dollar loss.Pretty sad when a district manager has been contacted every month on the issue and a customer has yet to hear back. I guess I will post this review of my shortcomings with this company as a last ditch effort to warn others of how they conduct business and before I report them to the Better Business Bureau.

Wonderful business! We called them with less than hour before closing and they worked us in without any extra cost. Tim and William are the best! Thank you guys!!!

Called on a Saturday morning and told the guy that I had a slow leak on one of my tires and I needed it checked out and repaired. He told me that I had to be be in by 5:15pm because they closed at 6pm. I showed up at the store at 5:14 after driving 35 mins to get to the store from my house. The manager looked at me and said ahhh sorry wish I could help but we're about to close. I told him that I talked to him on the phone he said he would get in trouble if he kept his guys past 6pm. I left went all the way back home, came back the next day early as soon as the store opened. Was told I needed to drop it off. So I did. Got a call back around 4 pm and was told it was done. When I arrived at the store the same man informed me that they couldn't find anything wrong with it. I drove ot home and within a few hours it had lost over 10lbs of pressure and was flat by the next morning. I waited until the week day and decided to try again I called made an appointment came in and the original guys where working in the lobby. Completely different experience. They where helpful and informative and the guys actually repaired the tire leak. After spending thousands of dollars at that store over the years I was very disappointed with the service I received. And I will not be returning back.

The technician did not put the center caps back in my wheels and I had already made it on the other side of town before I noticed. Then I saw where he scratched the side of my car when he was torquing my wheel nuts with the torque wrench and when I went back to the service center all they had to say was sorry about that and turned and walked away. I don t think after spending 1400.00 on tires with you company this was a way to show your customer you appreciated them. I for sure will find another tire center in the future. As a side note I did happen to see that I could apply for your financing options as I was checking out but the guy at the counter told me that it would take about 20 min and I should have done that prior to them completing my car. I guess this is just another example of poor customer service in my bookClick

Elizabethtown Ken Towery is by far the best place for any kind of service you need for your car or truck. Definitely will be returning for my next service.

They shouldn t send a text that says Oil Change Coupon $39.99 Valvoline Daily Protection Synthetic Blend Oil Includes Courtesy Inspection and Tire Rotation and not honor it. Also, how does it take 2 hours to do an oil change when I had an appointment and it might help if you put a service stick in the windshield. I wish I could give 0 stars.

I made an appointment online for them to look at my car. I scheduled the appointment as a drop off. The website said I could drop off on Friday anytime between 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. I got multiple email and text confirmations saying the same thing: drop off between 1-7 p.m. anytime. I arrived at Ken Towery around 3:55. The gentleman who greeted me said that my appointment was at 2. Since I did not show at 2, they had sent the tech home, and couldn t do anything until Monday at 11. This is ridiculous and is a terrible way to run a business. My family had loaded up to come pick me up and was already on their way. This changed our evening plans making them more complicated. Also, because my day off is Friday, I now have to take time off work to go to this appointment. I have always had respect for this business, but that is no longer the case.

On a extremely busy Labor Day I found 2 nails in my tire. The only tire shop open in Elizabethtown.Stopped in no appointment and he couldn't promise it would get done. I was already having a stressful morning and although I didn't love hearing that, I left my car. He promised to try but there were 30 cars to be done that day. He promised to call before 5pm so if nothing else I could get my car back. Phone rang at 330 that he repaired both tires. Needless to say he took a huge amount of stress off me and I appreciate that more than anything. He was kind and courteous to me . When it's time to get new tires I will be stopping in for a quote for sure. Customer Service does still exist! Thank you

Complete rip off! Tried to charge $800 for a mass air flow sensor. 2 minute job, $400 part from the dealer. O Reillys and others charged around 150-200 for the original OEM Hitachi sensor. Where did the $800 come from? Called corporate office they said they charge 150% on all jobs. So for a 5 minute job, literally how long it took me, they were going to charge $400. So not go here, unethical business practice and astronomical high prices.

We blew our front tire driving from Cincinnati back home to Nashville and found Ken's on google as the closest open tire shop on a Sunday. Tim and his team were friendly and understood our predicament. With my wife and two toddlers in tow, they worked as quickly as possible to help us. While they didn't have the exact tires they were able to find tires that could get us home safely. Friendly and reasonable they worked with us and got us home safely. Never been/heard of Elizabethtown but I'm sure glad they were there to help us back home safely!

Our SUV broke down out of state on a Saturday afternoon. The towing company knew that Ken Towery's Auto Care was open and recommended them. After Junior checked our SUV, he told us that unfortunately, our SUV threw a rod. He explained patiently that we could fix or scrap our vehicle, weighing in on price to fix versus new vehicle..... After considering the options we chose to fix it. The problem was ~ How do we get home? Ricky came to our rescue and quickly helped us get a cab, (with all of our vacation luggage), to Louisville airport, to get a rental car. He even waited a few minutes after closing time to make sure the cab picked us up and to make sure we were taken care of. These guys are top-notch and I thank our lucky stars we were taken to their shop! Who knows how it would have ended up without them!!! I would give them 10 Stars if I could!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!

My most recent visit was my second visit at this establishment. Very kind, welcoming employees. Super easy check in process, as well as scheduling on the website. They were very thorough, identified a problem I was having with my A/C (I was there for an oil change ) and fixed it in a very short period of time, and a very reasonable price. I will be a returning customer for as long as I continue to be treated the way they are treating me now. My hope is that the level they are operating at, doe not slip.

Rick and the entire staff have always done a great job. I have become a semi-regular customer since moving to Elizabethtown just over a year ago. I regularly get tire rotations, oil changes, and preventative maintenance. I have always been able to easily schedule appointments and pick the car up in a very reasonable time. Thank you very much for all of the hard work!

2022: British guy was awesome, knowledgeable and really seemed genuine. Whatever this guy gets paid, it's not enough. You can't put a price tag on excellent customer service. I'm changing my review from 4 to 5 stars and I will be bringing my business here from now on. I installed new front end suspension parts on my truck and needed an alignment. I called at 9, had an appointment for 2:30. I dropped the truck off a little past 12 and it was done by 1:30. Alignment feels good while driving the truck too. I'm very satisfied all around, I'm writing this review before my appointment is even scheduled. Thank you Ken Towery's!2019:We had to get a valve stem fixed, it took awhile but they seemed pretty busy. Friendly staff.

Took my car in for an oil change and all seemed well. Got it back on the road and noticed smoke coming from under the hood and figured it was just spilled oil burning off. When I got it to the gas station I noticed a fresh puddle of oil under it. Got it back to Towerys before all the oil leaked out. Turns out when they put the filter on the gasket was pinched. Stuff happens so I was understanding and they identified and fixed the root cause. However, after I got the car home it was still two quarts lower on oil so it appears they did not replace the lost oil. They gave me a free oil change but I wont be using it. They about bought me a new Cadillac engine!

I love the Etown KY location. I take all my vehicles there for maintenance services and other minor work. Ricky is so friendly and great to work with, along with any of the techs I ve talked to. Will always recommend!

I was a walk in for an oil change. It was completed faster than the estimated wait time. They did a great job and even reset my oil change notification. Other places don't even bother to do this. They checked other important things like tires ect. and didn't find anything unnecessary that needed fixing just to make extra money off of me. It is the extra details that are appreciated when it comes to customer service and they are a great place to do business.

I was told it would take about an hour to have two tires changed, I was there for an hour and twenty minutes so time was good. My only complaint would be their pricing. If you want economy aka cheapest tires there are then this was the cheapest place I could find for my car tires. But what wasn't cheap was the next "best" tires which went from $191 to $400 for two new tires. Double the price. I found comparable better tires for much cheaper elsewhere. So if you want the cheapest this is the place. If you want quality higher end tires I'd look elsewhere.

Manager is super friendly, techs are polite and knowledgeable. most notably I got new tires put on my wife's Jetta (I sat with her in my jeep watching them) they did not use an over powered impact like most shotty places, they actually use a torque wrench and after the tech torqued her wheels back on with the new tires another tech checked the torque, then when he gave the original tech the OK, he pulled it around and then torqued them a third time in front of me. very satisfied with their service..... highly recommend KTAC in Etown.
