I thought my car to John Ray & Sons on a recommendation when my mother backed into it and broke my taillight. They were super nice, and service was fast and affordable. I ll definitely bring my car here again in the future.

It's the best shop in town, fair and reasonable prices, they won't charge you for unnecessary work, John Ray is as honest as the day is long. This is the only place I trust with my vehicles.

This is a great place ! They are very busy but always make an appt. when requested. He always gives me a list of anything else my car needs, with estimates. My car is a 2002 but John Ray and sons keeps it running great !At an affordable price .

Some of the nicest and most professional people I've met. The work they do is great, the prices seem very reasonable to me. I'm just waiting for some more parts to arrive and I'll be taking my Jeep there to get it fixed. It's a nice family run business, I enjoy talking to them all and I always take my vehicles there to have them look at/fix them. Highly recommend

Great service and very reasonablely priced. Better than BIG M Chevy any day of the week. Big M couldn't find the problem but John Ray & Sons did the job right. Only place I'll take my truck.

John Ray's & sons are honest and goes beyond good service! Their prices are great also! Check them out! I had brakes put on& bought new tires& they are so professional! I'm never taking my car to the big dealers. Thanks John Ray & sons!!

I got stranded on I-65 and was towed to John Ray and Sons on Friday of Labor Day weekend. They did an excellent job of diagnosis on Friday night and had it fixed before noon the next day; on a holiday weekend!! Great price and service! Very nice family. Highly recommend especially those running between Louisville and the lakes.

Love this place very friendly family, that owns it. Very honest straight up what is wrong. Can't get it all done at once, no problem. They will take care of most important thing. Give you list in order what should be next. Used car lot down the street tells customer that wants to buy a car. Go down to John Ray & Sons to check it. To make sure is all good. Just can't say enough. My niece has had so many problems with her car. They told her every where she went, outrageous estimates. I told her to go to Ray's & Sons. She did great work fixed it for almost half what other places wanted to charge. Now she goes there with all car problems. She loves them also.

Wonderful place! My check engine light started flashing while driving down the interstate near Elizabethtown. I called around and they were able to get me in right away.Within 2 hours, my Jeep was fixed and I was back on the road!

I ve been coming here for two years now and have had three major repairs done. Every time the price has been 50% of what it is at the corporate stores around town. Just be prepared it can take some time to have your vehicle prepared. This is only because John Ray takes his time and puts his heart and soul into his repairs. So you might have a rental car or family member to get you around for a couple days. It is so worth it in the end though.

Best mechanic in town! Very knowledgeable and friendly service! Definitely makes you feel welcomed. Always driving away confidently when I get my car worked on. Did I mention prices are GREAT as well!?!

After hearing of this place from a co-worker who was more than satisfied with the work they did on her son's vehicle and the price, I decided to try it out. I have worked on cars, so I do know a little about what I'm doing. I am very picky about who I let work on my vehicles. It's hard to find someone to trust, especially since I'm a female and some tend to think I don't know what I'm talking about.I took my vehicle in on a Saturday for them to check out the problem with my air conditioning. I also had gotten the parts to replace my brakes, change my oil, and other routine maintenance things. I was going to do it myself, but had NO desire to actually do it. Anyone who has ever worked on brakes knows why I didn't want to! Dirty job!Anyway, not only did they check out my a/c problem (they quoted me a price on parts and labor that was not out of the normal ball park, I had checked the prices on the parts already), but they also gladly replaced my brakes, changed my oil, air filter, and flushed my radiator. This took some time, as they weren't expecting to do all that work when I brought my truck in, and they were busy that day. So it took longer than I had planned, but that's what you get when you ask them to do more than they had scheduled for. They could have made me make another appointment, but they didn't. They just fit me right in with the rest.The service, honesty, and integrity of this business surpasses any other I've come in contact with in a long time.As a female, single mother, and general public consumer, I not only trust them with my vehicle, I recommended them to my mother, and I highly recommend them to anyone else who needs a good, honest mechanic.

John Ray & sons, I was so relieved to read all of the raving reviews. I was weighing on whether or not I was ready to bite the bullet and get my Air Conditioner fixed but when I drove out to their location. I was promptly greeted, helped and felt right at home. They re a family-owned business that gets straight to the point plus will takes care of you as a customer. Will absolutely be returning here for all of my automotive needs. Always take my car here. They do a wonderful job and are always honest. Only fix what needs to be fixed and doesn't charge any more than what needed to be fixed. Fantastic family owned business that boasts quality work at far more affordable prices. Tired of repeat trips to dealer shops and name brand locations? If so, then this is your place.Went here for a diagnostic. Left with a very small bill and advice on what was wrong, what to replace, and cost if we chose to have them do the work. Opted to buy and replace what they suggested on our own and it fixed what was wrong.

My fianc� and I are making our way down to Florida for vacation and we had an emergency car issue that stopped us on the side of the interstate. John not only helped us find a tow company but also made sure our car was first priority since we were traveling.They even gave us a lift to the mall so we wouldn't be stuck at the office while they worked on our car. Great example of southern hospitality and a great shop! One of the kindest mechanics we've ever encountered.Thank you John and sons!

I sent my elderly parents to this shop because their air conditioning was not working properly and I could not fix it. When they arrived the mechanics got right to their car and had it fixed in less than 30 minutes. It was a very small problem and they did not even charge them. I am so appreciative of their fast and friendly service. So many people today take advantage of older people. My parents are on a very limited income, I was prepared to pay whatever it cost to make sure they had air conditioning for the summer. Thank you again! You have won my business and I will make sure to refer to you.

This is a family owned business and they are very kind and professional! They are very trustworthy and always taken the time to explain what is wrong. Even tell you the things that have to be fixed immediately and things that can wait. I will never go anywhere else!!

After the local dealer told me they would have to replace a $1400 part on my vehicle, this mechanic was able to correct the problem for $66. I highly recommend this place and am completely happy with the service provided and the way they treat people.

Would not bring a car here. Last year we wasted over $800 following this mechanic's guesses as to the problem with our car only to find out that it was a blown head gasket the entire time. I recommend A&M Auto Solutions.

I was from out of town staying at the Quality Inn when my tire pressure lamp came on , I went and aired the tire up , got out of my van and heard a hiss ( leaking ) No it was not a nail or hole in tire . I looked at the stem and it was lie almost broke in hale . Well , dammit this being a " sensored " tire meaning when a tire gets low it shows on your dashboard panel . So the stem is not just like ur regular 70 's stem !!!! Well it was 5 pm and most places closing . TAC ( another station on Mulberry ) said you might go to Advance Auto to get the part / stem . That is what I did with a ride from a friend . Yes they had the part not to bad of price $ 36 as the clerk said he has seen them run up to $ 125 . Well Advanced cannot change tire or get off rim . So my friend being pretty tech savy talked to " SIRI " and that directed us to Good Ole Boys on Catalog Drive a shop called Johnny Rays . There was 3 guys there with the Snap on Saleman trying to sell some tools . This was a down to earth mom and pop shop . Kid of reminded me of one back in my hometown of Ireland , IN. Johnny Ray 's said sure he can fix this , they took tire off rim( which takes a tire mach .) , and calibrated new sensor and installed new stem / sensor . I asked " how much do I owe you and I think this guys identity was Johnny Ray himself responded " just get on the internet and put a good comment about us " as I threw him a $ 20 I returned a comment of " I can do that " to him .I would recommend Johhny Ray's to anyone . Hard working , good ole' KY Boys . Needless to say it was after 5 pm when we pulled up . I guess you never know who might pull up when your shop is in your back yard . The shop looked like they could do oil changes to overhauls .In closing thanks to Johnny Ray's !!!!I was in town for a baseball tournament and thank God there was other people in my group to get me to Johnny Rays .......THanks Kurt for the transportationOn the road again ,Myron

Passing through town, my car was making a funny noise. They said to bring it on in, looked at it, quickly fixed the problem, and wasn't going to charge me for it since it was such an easy fix. They were great!
