I went to two different muffler shops in Lexington, KY and was quoted $1,200 and $3,100 to replace the mid converter pipe assembly on my car. I was unconvinced the whole assembly need to be replaced. I was able to send Smith Muffler a video of the underside of my car. They felt confident only a section of my muffler needed to be replaced, rather than the whole assembly. I drove up one evening and my car was fixed 1.5 hours later. And all of that for roughly $500. Excellent work and customer service.

They did such a great job on my car years ago, I didn t give it a second thought when my van needed a weld. Came straight here and I don t think it was more than an hour after I dropped it off that they already were calling me to tell me it was ready! Fantastic work.

Went to Smith, after 4pm on a Friday with this hanging from my exhaust system. Was out of there in 20 minutes and the fee was VERY reasonable.Love these guys! And did I mention they have like 40 service bays, knowledgeable guys at the desk and freaking chandeliers hanging over the service area! Great technicians as well. Go there if you have any issues with your exhaust.

Everyone was extremely welcoming and helpful, your employee Alec s charm was unique and memorable. Fixed my car right up real quick, and for a good price too! I LOVE SMITH MUFFLER!

I have never placed a 1 star review ! This was a great place years ago but I recently had.a huge break repair done.with them. Unless you have $ to throw away I do NOT recommend using them . I noticed a sound 2 weeks later & brought my car back with in a month . Of the repair as they have a 90 day warranty. They claimed they didn t here the noise . I m not sure what they supposedly fixed -but they charged almost 900 for my suv & my breaks were not repaired !Services: Brakes, Brake service & repair

They suck I have never had anything fixed there and it not need to be taken back because there work wasn't properly perform the first time and then when you go back to get them to fix it the right way they tell you that there's no warranty on their work or a warranty on their alignment that they perform on your vehicle when they do an alignment on your truck and then you go back and tell him two days later it is not right it's still messed up they tell you oh it's because your vehicle's old and oh by the way you need new tires and oh by the way you'll never get that old vehicle to align street it's too old and that was the owner's son that told me this I'll never take anything back there ever I don't recommend anyone going their either

These mechanics scammed me! They told me a diagnostics test, an oil change, fuel pump and parts and labor will fix my car for $964 dollars it didn t fix anything! Before I gave them my money I asked was that all was wrong and they told me yes!!! Now they re telling me it s a timing belt that s the issue and that will cost me $2,200 bucks I m a single mom and they know they took advantage of me!! Then the man I spoke with was so rude and condescending!! They kept saying we don t see the problem so my son took the car back numerous times and he drove it with one of the mechanics and now it s a timing belt!! This is wrong I m gonna have to dispute this with my bank and write the better business bureau because they got over on me! I m and that s not right!!

On tues they put a kit plus a piece of pipe in exhaust totaling 750 buck .car wasnt drove again until Thurs the car was loud on the highway .upon going back in fri morning they then responded with the loud noise is due to wheel bearings.. if that's the case why didn't they notice it when they had the car on tues .. i feel like another example of when they deal with women .I would not recommend them to anyone ! Plus one of the drivers that deliver parts to them said not to trust them !!!! I feel like they take advantage of women clients. Service: Exhaust

Was in town for a business trip and had a problem with my car. Took it in on a clearly busy Friday morning, they worked me in and I was on my way in no time! Friendly and respectful, they could have taken advantage of my situation but quite the opposite. Wish they were closer to where I live. Thank you!

We had a van issue on our way to Florida. Stopped at Smith's and waited while they fixed our exhaust pipe that had come apart. They fixed it in a very timely manner and for a great price! Excellent service and very friendly staff!

Went in today to have my PVC valve replaced and was gonna have 02 sensors installed but they felt that it wasn t going to fix my problem and talked me out of spending the money. They were quick and efficient. Very honest mechanics. I will absolutely go back for other repairs.

My 2011 Toyota Camry has been burning oil extremely fast. Took my car here for a diagnostic test and ended up shelling out $987.00 and the issue has not been resolved. They robbed me! All they did was an oil change, tune up, spark plugs and replaced something on the exhaust. They did not fix the issue with the engine burning oil fast. Took my car to the Toyota dealership and wax told that the older Toyotas become, they naturally just burn oil and there is nothing that you can do about it. Smith muffler does not have honest mechanics and they have that good ole boy racist mentality. If you are black , brown or anything other than white, do not take your vehicle to this company!!Services: Brakes, Oil change

This place was AMAZING! I ended up having a small bumper mishap pulling out of my mother s driveway, and just happened to drive in here on the off chance they could tell me what was going on. They took care of me right away, and fixed the problem right up! I was also due for an oil change, and I described how my front right tire was losing pressure prior to my other tires. They said they noticed a nail in the tire when they were fixing my bumper problem and were able to plug that while they completed the oil change. I was on a little bit of a time crunch, but they assured me they could get the job done quickly. So, I came in here with 1 primary problem, but left with all 3 of my problems fixed - in a very reasonable time frame, and at a very reasonable cost! I honestly have never experienced such great customer service and genuine kindness as I did at Snith s. I would highly recommend this business to ANYONE!Services: Tires, Body & Trim, Oil change

Arrogant and disrespectful Put regular Springs on a commercial vehicle Said they did nothing wrong. The front end of my vehicle fell to the floor. Arrogant and dangerous never use this place Would not make it right? Did not give a refund did not have the parts to fix the vehicle. It's sat for 6months My worst experience ever and i'm old

Horrible Service. I have been going to Smith Muffler for 2 years now. I took my car there in May to have the air condition checked out. They recharged it - cost $250...When explaining what they would do, they mentioned they may do diagnostics if that didn't work and it would be roughly $160. I told them that's fine just go ahead and do the diagnostics. Well, they didn't do the diagnostics and month later the AC was out again. Took the car back in and they charged for the diagnostic and an additional $676.00 ---- If they would have just done the diagnostic from the beginning, like I told them too, it would have saved me $250. Their response to this was "Sorry, I don't know what to tell you. This AC stuff can be sticky." For me, this review isn't necessarily about the money....this is more of a review on the level of service. They didn't fix the problem the first time, and made me come back in a month with no remorse other than a "Sorry, but um, don't forget your checkbook" (To be clear, this wasn't actually said. Just a summary of the attitude given off).Service: Air conditioning

There is a reason this shop has so many 5 star reviews. In this business that is unheard of. I love this shop, the folks, the quality of service. Check out the chandeliers in the service bays. Hey, it's Kentucky and I planted corn in my back yard! I've been taking my cars here for years. Price is fair, not cheap. Service and repairs are 5 stars.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Five Stars all around. I came in with my serpentine belt off, a messed idler pulley and, alternator seized. Management, tech and, crew were on top of it. I m amazed at the quick turnaround (1 day) and quality of work. It s like I have a new car. Thanks So Much for such a great experience.Services: Exhaust, BatteryServices: Exhaust, Battery

It was a great experience. It was my first time getting service here on my brand new car and it was everything I expected and more. Lewie got me in same day and had my parts same day as promised and Tim got it done under the time I was told. I was told maybe 2 or 2.5 hours and it was under an hour. I took my truck in for exhaust manifold replacement and new dual exhaust. The replaced the exhaust manifold and only replaced the 2 tail pipes that were newer and threw away what I already had. Charged me $1980

Went today to fix exhaust and get an oil change. Very honest people. They said a new exhaust would be $300 for just the parts. Said he was going to cut a part out and weld it together. Just charged me $145 for the exhaust. Very pleased.
