RUN!! We thought this was a good shop until Lance did work on my bf's truck FOR 6+ WEEKS. Horrible service, even worse communication. Lance leaves calls with customers up to his wife who gives false information, is rude, combative & refused us speak to Lance so we had to show up at the shop for Lance to give us the total opposite information his wife did.Ken's Auto or Community Car Care in Alexandria can help you with all the problems you will have after dealing with this shop.

I bought a car here a few years back cash. A few months later there were issues with the car stalling (it was an automatic), and accelerating. He told me it was a belt & something else that needed to be repaired. Oddly it was the same car I purchased from him so I told him that & he didn't respond to that, brushing over like nothing was said moving onto the quote to fix the car which was in the low 400's. So, I paid to have the car fixed & came back the next day to get it. A few months later the car stopped accelerating no how many RPMs I revved the engine to it wouldn't move. So I donated the car to Kars 4 Kids.My parents however have used him for years. He's picked up their car from their home via tow truck but their car was in & out of the shop all the time with high quotes, and needing the same things fixed. I hated that & told my parents to take their car somewhere else to someone that would fix the car not put a band-aid on the problem. One time my dad was quoted $500 for 1 tire & rim and the explanation was it was a high end car so it will be more expensive. There were times their car was in the shop for a few days up to nearly 2 weeks. There were times the car would be in the shop & my dad would have to call for updates on the vehicle and I remember one time it had been 7+ days and my dad called to see when the car would be done because we were borrowing a friend's car to get around. Turns out the car had been done but they forgot to call my dad to tell him.

Took my car there with a oil leak they had it for a month got it back same oil leak same place. Lance is a nice guy i had a good experience there years ago after reading reviews i still took a chance but it didn t work out for me. They did tell me to bring it back but i just don t think I m willing to chance it. Ill take my business somewhere else.Service: Engine repair

We had been customers for 20 plus years. I spoke to Lance himself last week. He confirmed that my part was ordered, gave me a price and assured me part will be in 11/15. I called 11/15 and his Very RUDE wife told me that Lance didn t order the part. He had surgery and did not know when he d be back to work. She speaks VERY RUDELY to women. Then after that she said to never bring my car there again. That lady is a SCAMMER. Lance was meek when I met with him last week. He appears to be in mental decline, this is very clear. She s using his name to scam people as I believe Lance is not the one working on these vehicles anymore. These very Reviews prove this theory. His wife is a Lunatic as stated by previous reviews. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS BUSINESS TO ANYONE - Better safe than sorry. I m reporting this to BBB and whoever will listen. Poor Lance.Service: General repairs & maintenance

The guy doesn't even fix stuff he rigs it - over charges - then he messed something up - completely unrelated to what I brought it in there for and denied it - - when I went to pick up my vehicle only my window was down - nobody elses now my window won't work at all. He didn't mention anything about it. Then denied it. Then Said it would cost 400$ to fix - I've had 3 people quote me 200 or less- he is a joke . Don't even try talking to his wife she is very rude has absolutely no customer service skills what so ever . Bad experience all together .

We go to lance's every time we have car trouble. He's always be honest, great price, quality work. I have bought a jeep grand cherokee and just bought a Camaro last month. Lance has stood by his vehicles charges a very fair price and does excellent work. This place doesn't even deserve 1 star. They should be shut down and put out of business. I took my car there for an oil leak problem, they kept it for weeks and then charged me over $500 then I picked it up and it had the same problem along with many other random issues that were not a problem before I took my car there. They are out to get money and they are crooks!!! My car has been there 3 xs and I feel like they have done nothing to help me. When I call these un professional workers that LANCE himself hires, they do not have a clue whats actually wrong with my car. No legit service and sales car dealership should operate this way and take months to return your calls or better yet to fix your car. They are a dishonest business. I will NEVER trust this place with a dime much less a car. It should be shut down. Michael is the sorry excise for a mechanic that I spoke with last. THIS SHOULD BE ILLEGAL AND THEY SHOULD HAVE TO PAY ME BACK EVERY BIT OF MY MONEY

I only use Lance's for service on my and my loved ones cars. The only mechanic that is a honest and professional. Highly recommend him because he never over charges and always backs his work.

I recommended some one to him because he is nice and fair and lances lunatic wife was so rude to them and insulted their car, I was I'm embarrassed she made him come get his car after she told him to bring it ,

Lance is awesome. He did all of Fred and Tina Vogelpohl's mechanical work on our vehicles for years until we moved to Florida. He is a great friend and an awesome person.

Pricey isn't even the word for it...don't worry there's a garage very close buy that's reasonable. They also know what they are doing.
