Very very great place now with new owner! Gunfights are awesome. And the stunt show was so funny! They have a small gift shop at the top, the woman in the gift shop at the top of the mountain named Lillie very sweet! Could use some more items at the top gift shop. She treated us with great hospitality... Not sure if the chairlift will ever be running again, but the older gentleman driving up the mountain was awesome! Very friendly people! Highly recommendWe Will be back!

Early in the season, and after ups and downs of ownership and COVID-19, back in business. Was slow in between the gun fights - about every 50 minutes, not a lot to do in between, but the gun fights and the outside entertainment was pretty good. Their entertainment staff are very social with the public and do well for a small establishment. They do have some inside things to do for the kids, sifting sand for gemstones, old time photos, a little browsing for a possible souvenir, etc.I do hope they are able to build this into what it once was, they do have the potential - just patience needed possibly. No longer have the chairlift seats to the top, only via cart or truck by staff, buildings in need of upkeep, additional staffing really needed - which they are working on. Only had three can-can dancers and two were teenage girls.

So Happy to see this Historic place back up and running. The new owners are doing a great job at rebuilding Guntown Mountain. My Family and I went there this passed Saturday the 28th of August. And we had a Blast. Great job to all who had a hand in recreating the Old Wild West Town.

Glad to see this reopened! My 6 yo loved the magic show just like I did in the 80's! The other shows were great too. Cant wait to see where this goes. They still have a lot of work to do on the smaller buildings and the chair lift but I understand its not easy resurrect an old theme park that has been deserted for years and falling apart. My daughter loved it and got to see live action gun fights too! Where else can you see that these days!

We came here on a weekend trip it was my wife's birthday weekend. We really enjoyed this place she got to relive some childhood memories while it was my first time there. We had a blast. I especially liked the stunt show it was my favorite. We will definitely be coming back for a visit.

We took our 5 grandchildren here yesterday. To say it was an adventure was an understatement. We had our 2 Grandsons and 3 Granddaughters. We went up so they could watch the gunfight. We knew the boys would love it. The girls, well one of them wanted to go to Unicorn World. No, there is no such thing, but she is 4.While waiting for the show they had a nerd fight, road motorized animals, just hung out and enjoyed the time. They announced the show would be starting in 10 minutes so we went and got a seat. The seats got filled so the kids sat on the edge of the sidewalk with us directly behind them. The show started and the the gunfire. Our oldest granddaughter (6 almost 7) turned around and was squalling she was terrified. Then the 4 year old turned around screaming: I want to go home. Within seconds the 5 year old was crying. I gathered them up and took them in the saloon. Now their fathers and Grandfather all hunt and shoot guns. I don't know if they were just tired, but no amount of telling them it was fake was working. A nice gentleman that works there gave them each a ring pop.My husband and the boys came in when it was over and the boys loved it. I got a play by play. They all got ice cream sat around a table and smiled and laughed. My youngest grandson wanted his picture made with a cowboy so we went and found the particular one he liked. Myself, him, and the granddaughter that had the biggest come apart went to get the picture. The particular cowboy was gracious and went and got his hat and gun. Well when she saw the gun she fell apart again. My Grandson however loved that he got to hold it and get his picture made. He kept saying to her: It is fake.We went back in the Saloon and the band started. They were wonderful. The kids eating ice cream dancing and then a man dressed in a bear costume came in. The kids thought that was great. He came to the table and danced with them. Then took the granddaughter that had been so upset up front to dance. Her face was still red from crying, but she started smiling and really enjoyed it. I told my husband the bear is the cowboy she was so frightened of and my Grandson said: Yes, it is he has the same bandana. After the dance we went outside and the bear came out. He took his head off so she could see. I was so happy that he went to this length to show her that he just played parts. It is all just a show. That he is just a good man being an actor.Everyone here was great. Yes, I could have fled with the girls, but they wouldn't have learned a thing and they were all very happy when we left.My husband went here when he was a child and was glad he got to share it with his grandchildren. It was closed for many years and the new owners are trying to bring it back to glory. We will be back, I would like to see the gunfight. Lol The band was great, the singer really good. Nice place to sit and relax and listen to some good music on a hot day. The views are to die for also.By the way there were several small children there that really enjoyed the show. I think my granddaughter was just overly tired and once she started the other 2 joined in. Any other day they would have been fine. Everyone that worked there did their absolute best to make them comfortable.

I wouldn t even give a 1 star but had to to be able to post a review. I totally understand new ownership and just opened in April. But it was a total disappointment for me my husband and our 2 grandsons. I do hope they improve but for me I will never return and waste my money. This is a total rip off and they should be ashamed for taking peoples money.

Kid orientated park is under remodel and they are doing a great job. Very clean friendly staff. Actors did a excellent job and the shows where nearly non stop and very entertaining.

reason why I'm giving him 4 stars is because they were closed. But I'm a have to come back in the future and check out their attraction it looks like a nice place to visit and take the kids

The shows are the main thing here. They are fun and only about 10 min between each. A couple of the gunfights were kinda lame

I know I am nostalgic but this place actually has some pretty neat recent history and places like this are what used to make America great. I wish more survived. Its still a work in progress from what I understand. So hopefully the best is yet to come. You cant decide until you see it yourself. Its definitely worth it and I can't wait to come back soon and see the improvements.

People should know that this place is NOT OPEN. We drove several hours to visit this, only to find it completely abandoned. No one here knows anything about it. The website and Facebook page says they are currently open. They are NOT.

The Alpine Slide is one of our favorites!! We had such a great day. Although they need a lot of work done to Guntown Mountain, the haunted house was the worst and the miniature golf was even worse if that's possible. I think we'll stick to the slides and chair lift.

I've been here a few times. Unfortunately, the last couple times it's been shut down. It's a very cool place especially driving from Ohio when you get close you can measure how close you're getting because of gunton mountain sticks out and you get closer and closer in the view is better and better. It's a very cool place.

Had such fun today with my kids! The haunted house was actually scarier than what we expected and the glow mini golf was a lot of fun. The staff is amazing! The owners are so down to Earth. We will definitely be back later in June once the shows are up and running. Wish I could give this place 10 stars!

My parents would come here back in the 80s for vacation. I am so glad it's opened back up.the new owners are trying to bring it back.the gunfights, can can shows, magic show is awesome. I hate the rides are gone and the chairlift is closed. But hopefully some day it will be back up and running. If in cave city this is a great place to stop in and visit. It will keep you laughing nonstop. Very friendly and family place.

This place is making a come back! Went there as a kid and it was always packed! They have great shows and everyone is so friendly! There is never a dull moment. I suggest you buy a seperate ticket for the freak show. We also loved the magic show. Actors interact with people and lots of photo opts.Only down fall is food is expensive for what is offered.

I thought this place was well worth the money we spent. The people running it are trying to build out back up into something even better, but what they have now is really good. The staff made the experience week worth it. We seen the magic show, a couple of the fun fights, the Cann cann show, and got arrested by the town Marshall. We also got our old time picture and our fortunes read by the tarot card reader. We enjoyed the experience and liked the shows.

Guntown Mountain is a great place to go, especially if you have kids. The workers and actors really try to bring everything to life with the shows that they put on. Even for myself and boyfriend we found great enjoyment in the atmosphere and shows that were done. If in Cave city go visit. It is a fun place and you can spend most of the day there. It is an older place, but the new owners are bringing life back to the old bones. Go support them and they will do so much more.

The staff was very kind and cheerful would recommend to anyone who loves westerns or just wants something for the whole family to do. They have amazing shows and activities for all ages. They have a magic show, a Can Can show and even a gunfight in the center of town. Will definitely be going back!

Reviewing this with the caveat that the place is not fully opened at the moment. New owners are still working on it. I intend to go back at some point when it's fully reopened.I can't review the western town and the cowboy shows as they weren't operating when I was there. The day I arrived they actually were having a job fair to hire people for it, so it should be soon. The haunted house attraction is not the greatest I've ever seen. The walkways are supper narrow- I had to walk sideways through the entire thing, and there were parts I had to force myself to squeeze through.. Definitely avoid it if you're claustrophobic. I don't think it's been fully restored yet, but I look forward to seeing it again when it is.

Friendly helpful staff! We came the day before their grand opening so we didn't get to take the lift to the ghost town but we did get to tour the haunted house for a reasonable price! Beautiful view off the 2nd story balcony over looking the town below.Fun atmosphere! Will definitely stop to see the set up on our way to Tennessee again!

It doesn't look like much, but boy howdy looks are deceiving. One of our most favorite places we visited in Cave City. The staff are amazing, especially Tony who made my son very happy by pretend gun fighting him in the middle of town. The ride up and down the mountain was exhilarating both times. All the shows were fun and entertaining, and their "gun fights" were both entertaining and educational. The magic show was great thanks to Adrienne Phoenix, and the Cancan show was a hoot. The freakshow was better than expected while not being about freaks but more about freaky talents. We have told people to go visit, including people we met IN Cave City and the surrounding towns we stopped in lol

This place is really neat. They have live simulated gun fights where they use real weapons firing blanks. The actors are artists. The live shows are a lot of fun and and gives you an old west experience. The people of gun town mountain seem to be one big family. Not to mention there's an escape room, a haunted hotel you can do before going up to guntown. It is worth checking out.

This was the biggest waste of time and money! It was $74.20 for my husband and myself and we literally spent 10 minutes at the top of the hill. There was one shop open up there and they said the rest of them was closed because the structures are in such bad condition they can t let anyone in them. We watched a show, that was 5 minutes long, but that was after we had to wait in the actors to finish up their smoke break. The best part was the ride to the top of the hill on. 4x4 UTV, but we were grateful we weren t part of the group in front of us that had to load up in a truck bed. Highway robbery!

I m not one to usually complain but never again will I visit this haunted house went through it with my kids and while everything we was fine till we got to the end when both the emergency exit and the exit to the building were both padlocked. I called the store and they said to simply return the way we came. I am so upset and disappointed because what if an emergency would have happened how is someone supposed to get in to them or get them out. Never again will I!!! This was called the haunted hotel which the name has also been changed several times over the years for being unsafe which I wasn t aware of before going inside.
