My name is Dawn. I drive an hour to have my car worked on at Chris's Auto Tech. It's 15 years now that I've been using their service and never once had a disappointment. If this isn't already your garage to go to, I'm sorry to inform people, but boy, oh boy, I recon you've been missin out.

Absolutely amazing people!!! My mother and I broke down in Cave City Kentucky. Chris immediately got us in, and found the issue. Mom s transmission was shot! He gave us a rental car, got us set up in a hotel room, did all the warranty work, and had us back on the road in four days, with a brand new transmission!!! This is an honest, knowledgeable and friendly family run business. They saved me after I was broken down and stranded in the middle of a 22 hour road trip. The made me a priority and did everything they could to make me feel welcome and comfortable in a dire time of need. You would be foolish to go elsewhere for service. I for one and grateful for them.

Came into the shop as a walk-in, Liv greeted me immediately when I came in. I had a broken belt in one of my tires and they hooked me up with a great deal on 4 nearly new tires. Wait time was minimal, but the service I received from them was top notch!Service: TiresService: Tires

Honest, smart mechanic. Helped me out when I had a massive electrical failure in my car when passing through on vacation. He figured out a mutually effective solution. There are not many options in cave city for service when you are being towed off the side of the road. This is the spot to go.

I broke down in the middle of a 24 hour drive, lots of work needed to be done, and they agreed to help me without hesitation. EVERYONE that works here was extremely helpful! Between driving me to and from my hotel to the shop, to doing an unbelievable amount of work in 2 days, to making sure I was safe/being taken care of they are amazing. I couldn t have picked a better place to be!Service: Transmission replacement

I hope you like the heater , too bad it don't work and the propane tank leaks, too bad you didn't get the hose that attaches to it and and I still have my good Dutch oven, never used the tarp ,no loss there so until karma comes to you...enjoy jump box doesn't work either lmfao

This place should be shut down, they get done and when you leave they call the police and say you are under the influence, I'm not the only person that they have done this to. I had my 74 year old mother in the car who had covid and had been in the hospital for 38 days came home on hospice but done physical therapy so dropped hospice still suffering complications from covid. The first person that came to my window when I pulled in was drunk so I wasn't going to leave her alone in the car.We were sitting in the drive thru at long John's waiting for our food and blue lights pulled in. They need to be shut down.. I had a breathalyzer in my car in which I was there to get it calaborized As I was waiting for the machine to warm up this young boy runs out and tells me to hang on and goes to the back of my car while he's on the phone with police and gives plate numberKarma always comes back around.Be more careful with your extra activities you have goingI'm going to pray for you allWait for it........

My mother lives over 2 hours away. Had a light come on took it here paid over $600. Did transmission flush and a week later the light is back on.

There has never been a better shop! They helped me tremendously getting me off interstate, in the shop, and back on the road same day! Fair prices, very friendly, I cannot say enough good things about them. Thanks y'all!

they truly were a lifesaver. on a drive from Pittsburgh to Austin (which had already been a disaster before this) my car started acting strangely. I pulled over only to find that I couldn't get going again. I have no experience with cars, so needless to say I was panicked. I am so glad I gave them a call, not only did they suggest a towing service to get me there, but we're willing to work overtime to get me up and running. they saved my trip and I cannot thank them enough!Service: Transmission

My timing chain went out on my way into Cave City. Chris took my car in right away and gave me a loaner car so I didn't have to miss any of my cave tours I had scheduled. Not only did they put up with me checking in every day but Chris himself agreed to drive my car for a few days to make sure it was safe for me to drive. I cannot recommend them highly enough, great service and solid work!!

This place is amazing, coming from out of town my car was overheating and they gave me the VIP treatment, replaced my water pump and motor mount same day as I took it in, even gave me a ride to and from my campground. I can not thank these guys enough. Chris is a great mechanic, honest and will get the job done at a very reasonable price!! If I lived in the area I would take my car here anytime I needed work. Thank you to Chris and the rest of the crew!!!!

Amazing place. Coming through from out of town, check engine light came on. Ended up being a bad spark plug and ignition coil. They got us in right away and were very thorough. Showed us everything that was wrong and everything they did. When the job got delayed when the first new ignition coil was faulty, they quickly got another one in while explaining everything going on to us. They even looked at extra warranty information and gave us recommendations on what will soon need to be done at our home mechanics. Wonderful, amazing place, cannot recommend enough.

Very friendly and helpful staff!! Kept me informed the whole time and fixed the car without a problem. They even went out of town to get a part for my car. They were also very quick and efficent as well, and made it so i could get home in a timely manner. They were very fairly priced too.

Horrible buisness, people like them give mechanics a bad name! And I dont need to be a customer to see how yall treat people! Trust me I wouldn't be a customer if you said it was free! I'VE SEEN HOW YOU TREAT PEOPLE, it's absolutely pathetic and disgusting!

Went to three different auto places they told me something that was was problem, I was referred to Chris auto text and he found something totally different than what I was told and cheeper, what I was told by other was not even the problem. They fixed it and my auto runs better now than it has in quite sometime. Will definitely be back again! If any issue with my auto again, would highly recommend checking them out.

Absolutely above and beyond in all ways professional courteous caring fair pricing. I was traveling through going from Ohio to Texas... they worked hard and long hours to get me back on the road.....so much gratitude for meeting an awesome crew that. Chris has....I pray God will continue to bless Chris And his crew....good good people...in my opinion they should be nominated number ONE in the community of profesdionaks in Cave City, KyCity Kaylee Harroff

Brought my husbands vehicle in to the auto shop in March, before all the covid 19. Requested on the paper work that the car needed a new headlight,wiring harness,oil change etc, lots to do, ended up picking up the car almost a week ago, the headlight turn signal does not work, the windshield wipers were not tightened so cannot be used, paid for an axle yet the wrong one was fixed, my main thing with my husbands vehicle is that it is a 2015 Honda Civic and after paying almost 2 grand there are still issues and things that were not completed as well as 7-8 lights on the dash which is the main thing I requested written and said aloud, No lights on the dash yet there are 7-8 on, will be taking the car back on Friday to have those things fixed and done as they were supposed to be. Good people just things were done Incomplete car runs but with lights on extremely dangerous to drive because if something is wrong with the car there is no way to tell because that error light is already on the dash, will take the car back on Friday because 2000$ later there should be no issues. Yet there are several.

This shop is the one I recommend to anyone I know that needs anything done concerning their vehicle. They have the fairest price in the area and they do a very thorough job every time. And they always let you know exactly what the problem was, exactly what they did to fix it and exactly what any further symptoms of any problems that may occur afterwards. If you need any auto work done, call them first.

So the place was busy but being stuck from out of town they made me first priority..... awesome Guess we should've did em both, Chris. It started doing it again through the mountains but I was able to slow down to about 60mph with little to no warnings till I got to flat land.
