I ll start this review first by saying this review does NOT reflect or pertain to the guys in the garage. They do good work and I was treated very well by them. My issue is the girl that does the billing in the office. It started off as a $10 oil change and I bought my own oil and filter. I also had my own air filter & cabin filter but was planning on replacing them myself but as the mechanic was getting in my car he saw the air filters and asked if I wanted them to replace them and I said no but he assured me that it was no big deal it ll just take them a couple minutes as it does and so while the oil is draining he swaps the filters out and took like 10 seconds to change the air filter and maybe 2 minutes for the cabin filter. So 2 minutes and 10 seconds of labor. When they re done I go to pay and just being honest I told the girl the owners wife they swapped out the air filters and I figured $5 tops and next thing I know my bill went from $10 to $77!! I instantly asked why so high for like 2 extra minutes of labor and the response is it don t Matter if it s two minutes or 30 minutes we have to bill by what the book says. So apparently they got a book that says for replacing air filter it takes $67 in labor? So after a little negotiation she lowered my bill to $55 so I still had to pay $45 just for 2 minutes of labor. It took more time to change my oil about ten minutes and I was only charged $10 but for two minutes it s $45? Look bottom line the mechanics seem like good old boys but the price on labor at least in this case is ridiculous and a terrible way to treat any customer. I don t exactly know the book she s using for labor but she needs to forget the book and not cheat customers out of their money. Sometimes you shouldn t go by the book but by the heart and we all have been there but there s no heart with this girl she wants that money so beware. You had better get an estimate before anybody touches your car at this place or just might be going home broke.

Was on my way from Ohio to Texas on New Year s day when I heard the oh too familiar growl of a wheel bearing starting to go. With it being a holiday, all the garages in town were closed. I hunkered down for the night and got on the horn with the local Ford dealer first thing the next morning. Unfortunately the dealer was booked, but pointed me in the direction of Leatherman s.The wonderful folks at Leatherman s were able to get me right in, were honest about what needed repaired, had very reasonable pricing, and knocked everything out in about 2 hours.I was back on the road by lunch and rolled all the way back to Texas without issue!Being from out of town and clearly in a pickle these folks could have raked me over the coals, and I would have let um.. but they didnt.Would give them 10 stars if I was allowed. Good, honest, hard working American s.

On July 25th we had a flat tire on our way back up to Michigan. Unfortunately we were missing the wheel lock key and were stranded. I called a few places but had no luck and one of them recommended I call Leatherman's. I called and the lady on the phone was so nice even though they closed in 5 minutes she made sure to wait while we tried to assess out situation!! We waited a while for the tow driver to find us granted we didn't specify where we were since we're bit from the area. But they found us and took us back to the shop and replaced our tire. The price was super reasonable and they were all so helpful!! If your ever stuck in a bind and your near by give them a call!! 5 stars is not enough to describe how genuine and helpful this establishment was!!

TJ was actually the attend.that escorted and assisted in the removal of my personal belongings and allowed me to collect them without any further charge and even helped me to transfer them & commented he was sorry this happened and what a shame for it to happen on Christmas eve of all Hollidays and spoke of keeping an eye out for a cheap used replacement..!Signed: "DoZer" T Brewer

Had an appointment for Thursday March, 24th was suppose to drop my car off at 8am to have the oil cooler seals and gasket replaced due to oil leaking and burning on my exhaust, included a the oil change as well. I arrived super late (around lunch time) they still accepted my car and fixed it. As they was taking the turbo apart the oil return line for the turbo broke because the lines are so flimsy and brittle.TJ and his crew did a great job on my car.Paulette kept me updated on my car the whole time my car was there.My car was ready to be picked up the next day!Highly recommend leathermans for all your towing and vehicle needsServices: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, Oil change

I was driving through and was about three and a half hours from home when my vehicle overheated at about 9:30pm. T. J. came and picked up my vehicle and gave me a ride to hotel. I thought it might be a blown head gasket but turned out to be thermostat housing and hose neck cracked. He had it fixed by noon the next day and I was surprised at how cheap he did it all for, he could have really taken advantage of my situation but he didn't. Nice to find good honest people when you are in a bind.

TJ and his staff done an excellent job on my truck. I am from out of town when my truck broke done and they towed me in and got right on it and I had my truck back the next morning. Thank you again TJ and tell your staff again I said thanks. I would recommend his services to anyone.

My son and his two small children ages 3 and 1 became stranded in Kentucky over the weekend; so I had to jump in my vehicle to help them. After doing some research, I was referred to this establishment and I have to say God bless you guys for your due diligence in getting my son's car fixed in a timely manner so we could get those grandbabies home safe! They didn't have to do it! They put us ahead of all the work before us and we are so grateful! These are some really good people that you can trust and depend on!

I would avoid this place by any means necessary. On 3-29-21, my husband and I were heading to Lousiville, KY, for a visit. Our car broke down on I71S after suddenly losing forward momentum but not power. The only shop open and nearby was Leatherman's Garage Carrollton, KY. So we called and had them tow the car there. They said they were pretty sure it was the transmission but wanted to check it out more thoroughly. So, we got a rental car from a nearby town and continued, leaving the car there for them to look at. Later that same day, we called, and they confirmed the transmission was bad and needed to be repaired. We went over the price options with the woman on the phone and were never given hard copy quotes, just 2 price points over the phone (~1.4k. and ~1.7k). I asked what the difference was in the pricing and was told the lower one was due to using a less expensive part and which they could get sooner. What was not disclosed at that time was that the cheaper part was also a used one and not covered by the standard 1-year warranty they had mentioned earlier. We needed to get home (a few states away), so we said to go ahead with the repair at the lower quoted price. We picked up the car on 3-31-21, and all seemed ok until 10-8-21.On 10-8-21, the car started having the same issues back home with losing forward momentum. We took it to our local mechanic, and he determined the transmission was once again bad. He said the trans is practically destroyed and badly melted; damage the mechanic said it is usually only seen on towing vehicles or heavily used snow plows. We had a second mechanic also take a look, and they came to the same conclusion. Because of this extensive damage, the repair this time would cost ~2.6k. After paying Leatherman's 1.4k just months ago for what was supposed to be a rebuild, I called on 10-12-21 to check on the warranty. Despite what they had said when we were there in March, I was told they would do nothing because the warranty is only 30 days on used parts. I was confused because they had said a year and never told us the installed part was used. They disagreed and stated that they had told us, but I informed them that nowhere on the final invoice does it say the part is used, nor does it state there is only a 30-day warranty, and reminded them that we had not been given hard copy quotes because we discussed it on the phone. The woman on the phone said they would do nothing to stand behind their work. I asked them to please provide the name of where they bought the part from, so I could try to talk to them about possible options, and the woman refused to provide it. I then asked for quotes to be emailed to me so that I could take a look retroactively, she said she would, but I have yet to receive them. I have made several calls and voicemails since 10-12-21 and have been ignored, as was the complaint I filed with the BBB. Look elsewhere if you are wanting an honest company that stands by their work and has good clarity in their communication when spending thousands of dollars with them.Service: Transmission

I recently bought tires there and they even balanced and mounted them for me. Yesterday they had to put on some sensors for me. I paid way less than I thought that I would both times.

OMG what horrible customer service they made me wait four and a half hours instead of telling me they couldn't get to me at the moment. Then overcharged me BIG TIME $569.00. to tow my vehicle to their shop

If your vehicle gets impounded here.Make sure you have cash the exact amount.The staff seemed to enjoy making things as uncomfortable as possible.Instead of being professional they seemed very biased to out of town people.Very non-professional staff,stuffing there faces and not waiting on customer's.Customer service is the worst I have ever experienced..

These young people out did themselves in helping me with a roof leak in my motorhome during a rainy time. The crew, worked me in their schedule so I could get on my way.They were courteous and considerate as well as concerned in doing the right job to solve the problem.If I loved in Carrolton, I take my vehicles to these young EAGER-TO-HELP-&-PLEASE enterpreteurs.As a traveler of the entire U.S., for many years, I have dealt with many small-city garages. The Leatherman's were super.I will have my Eastern oil change done at the Leatherman's next summer.Gerri Freeman

Towed vehicle, had it less than 20 hrs and charged $300. Rude, unwilling to work with owner, wife who answers phone unprofessional and rude to female customers.
