Not very polite or friendly. Rude I think but not hateful just rude . It's decently clean compared to some others . But maybe they just having a bad day. It's not as high as other places. I had a place I owned myself but found out nobody owns anything. Oh well; , have a good day

Cheap, but good for quick one night stay. The room had a nice new sink, but the bathroom needed fix up badly. The sink might indicate that further improvements are coming.Food & drinks: It's right next door to an IGA and a Dollar General. Try the Bait Shop for a home cooked breakfast or lunch.

Front desk has a very rude and disrespectful man running it. He acted inconvenienced by basic requests (needed two rooms instead of just one, requested some extra towels and was accused of flooding the bath tub). We were here for a funeral and he did not make the process a welcoming or easy one. I recommend to this business to hire someone else.As for the room itself, needs major remodeling. Walked into a mold smell. Back of the TV was extremely dirty. Sheets and covers on bed were stained and had many holes. TV had to be turned on manually: remote only works to turn on the dish. Wallpaper was peeling off in corners. This hotel needs a lot of TLC. Many of my family used to rent rooms here every year for memorial day weekend. I will be staying somewhere else from now on.

Cons:The room was dated, the TV didn't work and we could hear the people in the room next door. The door knob was hard to open, husband had to do it everytime.Pros:The shower had good pressure, the bed was comfortable and there's a great spot for breakfast close by (The Bait Shop). The price was fair for a place to sleep and shower.

My family stayed here as unexpected stop by broken down rental car. What a wonderful experience. The owners went above and beyond. They made sure we were comfortable and were very helpful with finding our way through town. We plan to stop here everytime on our trips from Michigan and South Carolina.

Same exact decor from the 90's. I've stayed at rf since I was younger, visiting from out of state. Stayed there a year ago and it's the EXACT everything; bedspreads, curtains, bathroom. Needs major updating. I have pictures from back in late 90s, inside the rooms and I took pictures and video from my last stay; ITS THE SAME. Usually stay at The Alpine but unfortunately they were sold out of rooms. Bed bugs were in pillows and staff wasn't friendly as they even accused my family of bringing the bedbugs. Horrible, horrible experience.

Horrible conditions.. Health hazard.. Mold... Dirty pillow case not changed and had blood stains on it...Lights by the beds covered in rust, Mildew on sides of the beds... Bedspreads dirty, stained and very old.. Smells... Signs at check-in stated if you have a reservation you would not receive a refund!! The only other motel in town was booked.. NEVER NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN!!

The room was clean, the bed was a brick, the blanket was old well used, the pillows smelled bad. Glad we travel with our own pillows.

Do not stay here !! we checked out a day early due to the toilet not working. we had to shut off the toilet our self at the main pipe. do to them not having a maintenance man tell the next day after 11AM. When we called to let them know at 8pm that night before. Talked with the manger Betty that told me we would get one night refund but now are refusing. Also was told not get use the pool by other guest in the hotel for un sanitary reason.

The room was big and clean. However, no coffee maker, no microwave and no fridge. No morning breakfast, just very bad coffee. Ice is only available in the office. It is very loud outside as the next door carwash is the local hangout where kids come to make noise. There is a grocery close, but not many restaurants. It is close to Dale Hollow.

Room is very nice and clean, quiet, mattress is nice, no room odors, no negatives like on other posts. Would definitely stay here again.

Spacious rooms, clean. A bit out of date, yet for the price was not an issue. They have a kind staff- very accommodating. I'd stay again if I where traveling that way.

European Riders Bike Rally has a get together there. The Lodge is located right there . Good facilities , clean , comfortable , etc..
