Context: Have been getting oil changes at this location for quite some time now. I received a full synthetic oil change from this location a ~4 months ago. Drove the vehicle ~5600 miles after the oil change and the motor seized up on the side of the interstate. After taking it to Tri-County Ford in Buckner, KY, they told me that the reason for the issue was the drain plug had come lose and fallen onto the skid plate which sits just beneath the engine. Ford Motor Company has stated in their owner's manual that they recommend changing the oil every 7,500-10,000 miles on conventional oil, meaning full synthetic should be even longer.We, along with the dealership, have contacted Tire Discounters to see what they will do about their faulty and negligent oil change. We were told that because it was ~600 miles over 5,000 miles, still well under the 7,500 recommended by Ford Motor Company, they are not able to cover any amount of the repair cost. They are denying any responsibility for the oil drain plug coming unscrewed, which is interesting considering: 1. the drain plug is inaccessible. 2. The company that produces the car suggest, that if done right oil changes in 7,500-10,000-mile intervals are adequate. 3. Tire Discounters was able to reach this decision in just over 24 hours after being contacted by the servicing dealership. (Typical corporation(s))Overall, I have previously used this location for most of my oil changes, and my father has been using this location since even before Tire Discounters bought it. I can confidently say that we will no longer be doing business with this company, nor will I be recommending it to anyone else as I previously had.

Our family has been using K&G services for nearly 25 years. My father always remarks how appreciated he feels when he walks into their shop. They are always friendly and do a terrific job on repairs. We highly recommend them.

I can t say enough good about the staff there at K&G. We ve been taking our vehicles there for over 15 years for not only for oil changes but for tires, rotations, oil changes, and multiple mechanical issues. With six children driving in addition to my vehicle and my wife s vehicle we have plenty of experience. Steve and Greg are great to deal with. They have always been honest with us. For example, I have a 2022 F150 that was having some brake issues. It was outside of the warranty and took it in to K&G. Steve suggested I take it to the dealership in case the squealing was a known issue, and that it might be covered by Ford. That s exactly what happened. Saved us quite a bit of money. I m fairly confident you re not going to get that type of honesty many places. We have two more kids under the age of 16 and plan on using K&G for all our future auto needs.

I m traveling from Louisville to Cincinnati I get a low tire pressure warning. This was the closest tire place to me. I pulled in the asked for tire pressure gauge just so I can check my tire pressure. The guy replied, no problem. Pull up to bay number one. They put some air in my tires reset my tire pressure gauge in the car. They did not ask for any paymentI can assure you when I need tires. I will drive from Louisville to their shop.Thank you

From my initial phone call to K&G Tire Discounters until I paid for the services rendered, it was an awesome experience. Little did they realize by servicing my 2006 Kia Spectra 5 Hatchback in a prompt, and professional manner how many lives they impacted. I quickly returned to Middletown USPS Station and ran a route. In addition K&G Tire Discounters provided a brake light bulb. I will definitely return to K&G Tire Discounters even though I live in Louisville KY. The picture depicts the bent and cracked wheel that K&G Tire Discounters replaced.

This place is amazing! The staff is very helpful, and they do an amazing job! I have taken my car to diffrent auto repair places and they wear not very good. I can say with confidence. That this place is not only good, but gets the job done correctly.

Brought in my 2002 CRV, was told at another place I needed front breaks immediately and rear breaks recommended. Jeremy was very nice, let me know my breaks were OK, will need to be done down the road, but wasnt the danger situation the other place said, and only additonal maintenance needed was an oil change.

Got me in quickly and able to get me a new tire and had me back on the road within an hour! allowed my dog to sit inside and gave him a toy while we waited!

One of only a few places in town that have a Road-Force Balancer option (to not only spin balance but also balance to compensate for variations in the tire compound affecting the force on the road and from an engineer and car enthusiast, that s well worth paying the premium for this kind of balancing option it s made my older cars drive as smooth as when they were new, if not better, with no steering wheel vibration / suspension vibration, and it will only help my tie-rods stay tight and last longer). And the only place in town that has a Steve Steve won me over when he both improved on another shop s spin balancing and took the time to explain things to me so well when I had questions and being in a technical field, I had many. Best tire installers I ve ever had (thanks Steve!). He took great care of the wheels too. Steve also impressed me when he found where the prior shop jerry-rigged a series of plastic zip-ties to replace a proper metal strap that held my older style TPMS sensor to the wheel. And they were very sweet to my kids who joined me there recently (thanks Christine and Greg!).

Have always had a positive experience with with K&G. The workers are very nice and caring with our car issues. Have used them for tires and oil changes. Would recommend for anyone who needs a reliable car service shop.

2023- Editing to add that my husband and I both got new sets of tires from K & G. Absolutely wonderful service. Would highly recommend using them for parts & service. However, sad to say but I do NOT recommend their associated Tire Discounters credit card.2020 - My mother had come up to visit me (she lives almost 4 hrs away). When she got here her Rav4 was shuddering between 35 to 40 mph. I'm fairly new to this area and selected K&G soley based off other peoples reviews on Google and Facebook. Usually I am pretty skeptical of most mechanic shops. Having worked as a mechanic for several years I've seen some owners take advantage of customers that are not familiar with vehicle repair. However, I can say without a doubt that K&G are NOT those kind of people. They were honest and explained everything, they didn't perform any unnessary work, and most of all they were friendly. I definitely recommend them.

First class service. Steve never hesitates to answer any question and get your vehicle serviced in a timely fashion. The shop guys perform intentional work as of it was their own vehicle, and their prices are unbeatable! Highly recommend.

We were in town from Atlanta, when our check engine light came on. K & G was recommended to us, and we are incredibly grateful to Steve for helping us. The shop was 100% booked for the day (because of the Thanksgiving holiday), but Steve took the time to hook up his computer and get the reading for why the alert came on. He explained the code read out - which, thankfully, was a minor issue. Thank you Steve! If we could, we would give you 10 stars!

Been going to K and G for over 20 years. Steve and Greg are the best. Always got me in and take care of me. Been very helpful over the years. I buy all my tires there and go for wheel related repairs and oil changes.

I am so happy that I gave K&G a chance to do some car maintenance work for me. They are very accommodating and perform great work. Pricing is reasonable and they are very attentive to your needs. I love that they follow up to make sure you are satisfied with the work that they have done. K & G is top on my list for well run businesses and believe me I m particular being a business owner myself. When I moved to Oldham County in 2017 we had someone recommend the K and G team. Over the years we have developed our own experience with their care of our vehicles. Recently I needed new tires and they made sure I got the best deal utilizing rebates and the tire handling I was looking for. They even took time to discuss additional maintenance that I had requested. I appreciate the fact they aren t constantly up-selling services and offer cost effective alternatives where available. It is hard to find a reliable mechanic that also has consideration for customer finances.
