Really honest business model, really clean , meticulous shop and kind people that I feel give you good advice on a repair plan for your car. I ve had good experience with getting my vehicle in on a timely matter with a reasonable turn around time. I refer friends and have never heard anything bad about these guys. I feel BG as a community benefits from non dealer affiliated shops like this.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Terrible company with terrible service. Replaced my rotors with warped rotors then proceeded to tell me my calipers needed to be replaced. They priced me at a higher price then tried to lower the price for my business. They made me play cat and mouse with another brake company as well. I do not recommend.

Lee and the rest of the staff are always extremely helpful - even one time helping get a stuck car seat out. I feel like they are always honest with me which is so important when it comes to mechanics. I'd recomend Plum Springs Garage to anyone.

Towed my car here and they diagnosed a computer issue. Said they ordered a computer and it supposedly shipped but never came after 3 months. I went to get the car they charged me over $300 for absolutely nothing, what a rip off. Did my own diagnoses and it wasnt a computer issue, the car is now running for $15, they were gonna charge $2000. be cautious here they need a reevaluation.

Be cautious when dealing with these guys. I brought my Range Rover in, told the guy I was having sluggish first and second gear and someone said I needed to get my transmission looked at. I came back to pick up my car and the guy says "I think you need to have someone look at your transmission". I asked well you guys don't work on transmission? "No" So basically they charged me $145 to tell me exactly what I told them. I also had a engine light come on and all he said with you have a light on. No diagnosis or anything. I didn't get any work done so I don't know about their services but I think that was really bad business.UPDATE. After writing this review someone actually came to my house and gave me a check for my money. We are in a disagreement as to certain details but in the end the gesture was in good faith and that I can say is truly good business.

Car owner beware! Stay as far away from this place as possible. Lee is a scam artist who has no problem with auto insurance fraud and trying to rip people off. He will take your car in, make promises he never intends to deliver and try to rip you off in the meantime.Lee tried to take advantage of a student at WKU - a Pike no less- because he was young, had a nice car - an Audi- and had a Florida license plate. It took him weeks just to give an outrageous estimate of 10k. Most of the work he said was needed was a complete fabrication. We had a Master Mechanic from Audi review his estimate and the entire situation only to be told that most of the work was not necessary to do the necessary repairs and that the extra work was being added only to pad the bill. Our insurance company laughed at his proposal and denied 2/3 of it.Lee is just lazy and not interested in doing the work! He s only interested in collecting storage fees from insurance companies so he doesn t have to do any real repairs. He will let your car sit for months on end, stringing you along and literally do nothing to fix your car. He is just trying to game the insurance companies and commit insurance fraud. After getting repairs approved by our insurance company, Lee sat on the car for another 3 weeks. He never even ordered the parts that were approved!! His game is to frustrate the car owner until they finally take the car off his lot to another garage and then collect storage fees for doing nothing at all. Lee is unethical and a crook and will never fix your car. He s that guy that makes people leery of auto mechanic shops. He s making a living off a storage fees not honest repair work. He might be good for an oil change, rotating tires and topping off the windshield wiper fluids, but that is about it. And even that might become a problem. Go elsewhere as fast you can! You have been warned!

Three weeks have passed since I had spark plugs and coils replaced on my 2008 BMW 528i by Plum Springs Garage. Everything is still working great! The service was professional and timely. And the price was reasonable as well. I will certainly return when my car needs repairs in the future. Great job!Service: Auto engine tuningService: Auto engine tuning

It was all fine until they broke my engine cover, they never told me about it until I looked at it and seen it broken. They never mentioned it once, if they had told me this happened I would ve been fine but they put it back on and acted like nothing happen.Nowadays can t find the right place to go to.

I have used this team for a number of years. Their work is excellent, timely and reasonably priced. But what sets them aside is their integrity, and it starts at the top with the owner. Unfortunately this has become difficult to find these days.Let s face it, the technician working on your car will know infinitely more about it than you do. So you have to be able to take him at his word. You need someone you can trust to fix what is broken and not what isn't.Plum Springs is always willing to jump in and explore solutions, even if that solution involves packing grease in a boot when just replacing the whole thing would be easier and make them more money. The value of this is priceless. If you're driving a European auto and need a team you can trust, give Plum Springs an opportunity to earn your business. This is how a business ought to be run.Car repairs come with car ownership. Like your doctor and dentist, you need an expert professional that won t sell you a crown when a filling is all you need. Then completes the filling like you were his mother.I am a customer, and I have not been asked nor paid to provide this review. This business taught me that I can rely on their expertise and integrity by doing things right. Feel free to do the same.

These guys are incredible! I cannot recommend them enough if you drive a European car. Took my VW Tiguan to these guys after I messed up a rear main seal repair. They were helpful and patient with me even after the transmission ultimately breathed its last. They worked with me as I sourced a replacement transmission and had the car repaired and driving a couple of days after I finally got it to them. Their rates are good especially when you consider the quality of work that they do. I will absolutely be bringing my VWs here in the future BEFORE I mess things up myself. Plus I found out that they sell Liqui Moly products and everything else I need to do at-home oil changes, so I reckon I'll be buying oil here now too! Thanks guys, you all are awesome!Services: Transmission, Brakes

My boyfriend and I brought a BMW that wouldn't start to this shop.I told them it was the starter and we also requested that they do an overall checkup to make sure nothing else was wrong. They informed us nothing was wrong besides the anti lock brakes. However not even a week later the car is smoking and losing power. He paid around 700 bucks and the car has broken down again. I am disappointed that I recommended this shop to him. Now he will have to take it elsewhere and pay more money for something that should have been caught when they inspected the car.Update : I took it up to three stars because they did call to try and make it right. They offered to look at it again..I do appreciate the follow up but my boyfriend has taken it to his mechanic closer to where he lives. They repaired the starter flawlessly and only charged for the repair of that part.

I have my Bimmer serviced for the brake fluid flush and spark plugs replacement. The service is fine but I was charged $13 for using my credit card. There was not even a warning that I would bring a check or check. Where in heaven would you charged this much for using your credit card? More importantly, who pays with check or cash (of $400) without a proper notice?Services: Electrical, Brakes

I was travelling out of town for business when the dreaded low tire pressure indicator came on. I tried my best to get the tires aired up from half-broken gas station facilities before giving up and picking Plum Springs on a whim. Lee got me right in and personally checked and filled my tires. He wouldn't let me pay them, and got me right back on the road in minutes. I'm sad I don't live closer to these guys!Service: Tires

Ordered parts for my X3 . Went to pick them up, they told me parts was there. The manager Lee was so very helpful. Jerry went ahead and put them on. He didn't have to, I could have come back for that. But he took the time to fit me in. He asked if I had a few minutes it wouldn't take long and it didn't. Jerry the owner explained and showed me what he was doing and how it will be done. That way you see how your money is spend. I will continue to take my x3 there for service. I'm happy to have found a place of business that gives good and honest service. And don't have to go to a the dealership, BMW for service. Thanks you,Ethel's Black X3Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I took my BMW there for diagnosis and repair and, after diagnosis, was told the $1300 repair would fix my vehicle's issue. I authorized the work on a Friday and got a call Sunday that they had done the work and it was not going to fix the problem. The problem was complex and involved BMW replacing my engine or them replacing my engine for about $12,500. I could not afford an engine replacement. When I went to pick up my vehicle they had reduced the bill to about $780 (from the $1300) but I still needed an engine replacement. I asked why I should have to pay for work they assured me would fix my problem, but didn't, and the response was because they had done the work. I only authorized the work because they told me it would fix my car! I'm not grateful for a $500 discount on work that didn't fix my car! I explained that I go to them for expertise, I didn't tell them what the car needed, they told me. Any craftsman that doesn't stand behind their work, in this case their work is their diagnosis, should not be trusted. The owner and the front desk guy were nice and seemed very helpful but, based on my experience, I would not trust them to stand behind their work and their alleged expertise is obviously limited. The worst part is, they didn't stand behind their work. That is inexcusable.Response to Plum Springs Garage's Response.1. I took my care to the dealership in April & they serviced it, replacing a vacuum line. They didn't refuse to service it AND the only time I knew about the problem with the motor was when I received a call from Plum Springs Garage on the Sunday, as I mentioned in my initial statement. Plum Springs Garage agreed to diagnose & repair my vehicle, there were no disclaimers and I was quoted a price to fix the vehicle, which did not happen.2. I went to Plum Springs for expert diagnosis. They were stumped and reached out for assistance, that is not unreasonable. However, I was told the work required would fix the issue, it did not. Therefore, their diagnosis was incorrect, a mistake which I paid for.3. I did not make a threat to "ruin our business any way I could". I offered that it could be cheaper to absorb the nearly $800 for work that didn't accomplish what they said it would rather than have me out here with a negative experience. If I turned away even 1 customer, then sticking me with their mistake would be a poor decision. EVERY business owner knows that customers w/negative experiences convey them frequently. I run a mutli-million business and we've had to eat our mistakes before to keep customers happy. I've also been a contractor and have had to do what I said I was going to do, regardless of what it cost me, to keep my customers happy. I'm aware not everyone does that and, as customers, our recourse is the court of public opinion expressed by word of mouth and online reviews.4. I was quoted a diagnostic price of about $100, which I agreed to. What I ended up paying was $767 for work that I was assured would fix my vehicle. While the $767 was reduced significantly, as I said, it didn't fix my vehicle. I don't understand why that is so difficult to understand. Plum Springs Garage said the work would fix my car and it did not so the only thing I should owe is the diagnostic charge, $100. Yes they did a lot of research, made phone calls, read books, whatever, I appreciate the effort. The week before, Firestone In Bowling Green told me the issue was two ignition coils and it would cost me $465. I told them to do the work, I picked up me vehicle and drove it home. On the way home I realized the issue was not fixed and called them. They offered to refund me the money, I told them to apply it towards the tires I had already ordered from them. Firestone made a mistake and honored their word. That's what should happen. They recommended Plum Springs Garage, who also made a misdiagnosis but didn't stand by their word. That's the issue here. Own up to your mistakes like Firestone and the rest of us have to or your customers will be out here sharing their negative experiences.

This is the biggest rip off of a shop I've ever been to. I would never recommend their work to anyone. It is worth the drive to Nashville to get work done on any of your German cars. Never again will I let you steal from me and my hard earned money.

I stopped by just to get some special engine oil for my Volkswagen and they were happy to comply! This was a lifesaver because the local auto parts store did not carry the oil I needed. I thank God that He provided through this store to help me on my way back to Michigan!

While driving home to Cleveland Ohio from Nashville on Monday for the Thanksgiving weekend, we were extremely lucky to have our car trouble where we did. We were about two exits south of Plumb Springs Garage when our BMW 5 series overheated and went into limp mode from a water pump gone bad. The BMW/Mercedes dealership could not help us so we were referred to Plumb Springs Garage. They even made a special run back to Nashville for our part so we could get back on the road that day. The garage is immaculate, cost was fair, and the personal service was superior. They had even offered to take us to the local mall while waiting but my husband preferred to talk shop which they did and now we know their whole history! Thanks guys, we feel fortunate considering it was an unfortunate car issue, especially so far from home.

Didn't have anything major done to my 1999 Volkswagen Beetle, just a quick headlight change. But I could tell the level of professionalism in just the small time I was there. Very pleasant to deal with and answered all of my questions. Will definitely be back for further business.
