If I could give BYOP 1000 stars, I certainly would! ... From my initial phone call yesterday, to today's perfectly punctual appointment, to the follow up and everything in between, Kathy's kindness, knowledge and genuine good heartedness nearly brought me to tears - of JOY! ... And Chan, who serviced my car, is now CHAN THE MAN in my book. Not only did he replace my brake pads in record time, like Kathy, he explained "mechanical things" in simple terms while treating me with kindness and respect ... Oh and then there's the pricing! For the uninitiated, BYOP stands for "Bring Your Own Parts" ... And what this means for you and me is considerably lower auto repair bills - not just for brakes but a host of other services - which you can learn about by visiting their site or calling ... Last but not least, don't let the bare bones ambiance dissuade you from calling for an estimate because I couldn't possibly more highly recommend BYOP!

I spoke with I believe her name was Kathy I was in need of a car and she went out of her way to help not only me but another customer by letting me know how to contact this young lady. Although it fell thru she wads very helpful and genuine.

I would give zero stars if it would let me. I ended up having the work done elsewhere. Not only did they take more time than they originally quoted but they also charge me 5 times what was originally quoted. To make matters worse they damaged brand new parts and didn t tell me about it. It wasn t until I took my car somewhere else that I discovered the mess they made. Use them if you want your car to go somewhere that will cut an engineered metal band and replace it with a plastic zip tie. I ve filed a claim with the better business bureau and as I was standing in line complaining about the service received they pulled me into the office so that the other angry customers wouldn t realize it was typical practice for them to have unsatisfied customers. Stay as far away from this business as you can.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Unique little place in Bowling Green Kentucky. I went there to just get an oxygen sensor replaced and everyone was so nice. The service was fast and it's a cute little mom and pop

WARNING! DISHONEST AUTO SHOP. This shop will intentionally misdiagnose your vehicle and recommend work that is not needed just so they can take your hard earned cash and make a profit. If it happened to me it can happen to you. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and will be taking them to court to recoup my loss. You have been warned. Stay away from these crooks.

This shop was so Amazing! They helped me when nobody else would. I blew a hole in my radiator and lower hose and the mechanic stayed late to fix my truck. Very nice people, just bring the parts and they fix it which is nice because the shops tack on about 50% plus cost on parts, I know my dad and brother both own mechanic shops in indiana. I would recommend this shop to anyone.

Took my car in for 3 things to be replaced the thermostat, valve cover & master cylinder. When I picked up my car the breaks were worse than when I dropped it off. It was also running rough so I popped the hood & quickly seen one problem They failed to properly tighten the spark packs one the screw wasn't even threaded at all (pic included) the rest barely started no where near being snug (can't upload the video I done showing how loose all 4 were). As for the breaks I realized I needed dot 4 not 3 fluid with the traction control & found air in the lines while bleeding them to change the fluid over, now they're working like they should. I'm 44 & used to doing my own work in the past, this was my first time taking a car to the shop & most likely the last. I wouldn't go back to BYOP if it was the last resort after this experience.

Again, I wanna say thank you. We drove to Bowling Green, KY to take our son a vehicle. We live in Illinois. Long story short, it wouldnt pass state inspection. The horn wouldnt honk. We found BYOP,the mechanic stayed late and diagnosed the problem, we got the parts needed, he had it fixed and back on the road. Very reasonable price. I recommend you go see Kathy and the rest of the crew. JOEYService: Electrical repair

So for starters the place is disgusting! Bugs everywhere. The waiting room has never been cleaned at all. I paid 70$ for my brake pads to be fixed, when I left my car beeped when I accelerated. Well I went back and they charged more money for them to make it stop even tho it was their fault.Service: BrakesService: Brakes

This was my first visit and they were excellent and thorough. They accommodated my work schedule, were quick and checked and advised me of other items needed to my car. They offered me cold water and shared space so I could work while I waited. A+ highly recommend!Service: BrakesService: Brakes

My husband took his truck to them ,$700 later it still runs the same. They said it has a gas leak yet I park in the garage everyday and never smell or see any gas. They were supposed to do a full diagnostic and didn t give me the report. I do not recommend this place.Services: Brakes, Auto brake replacement, Oil changeServices: Brakes, Auto brake replacement, Oil change

I had an LED strip that I put underneath the tailgate of my 2014 F-150 and I needed for someone to wire it so that the white reverse lights would turn on when I would put the truck in reverse. Well, I took it up to this place, told them what needed to be done, and they drove it in and had it ready in under half an hour. I was charged the minimum rate of $37.50 and I left happy and satisfied. They are really nice, too. I had a nice conversation with the woman at the front desk because she saw that I was wearing a University of Louisville t-shirt and hat. We talked while the mechanic worked on the LED light strip and that was that. They're the "best kept secret in town", but once you find out about them, they don't disappoint.

Came in for something simple they absolutely messed my car up. what started out to be a $200 fix ended up costing $1000 with me leaving and my car being in worse shape than it was previous. They also put 1000 miles on my car saying that it was to test drive it. No check engine light when I brought it in check engine light when I left. If you want to get screwed over time and time again go ahead and bring your car here if not find yourself another mechanic. They clearly don t know what they re doing and who really are just scam artistsService: Exhaust

Wanted to fix my oil leak and ended up changing every gasket and my thermostat. I paid nearly one thousand dollars for my $600 dollar Buick that means a lot too me. Anyway my oil still leaked and when the car gets to normal temperature it smokes and I've notice it smells like burning oil. Never did this before. Plus before this I brought in my old Honda got my brakes fixed and had to bring it back due to a lot of squeaking. This is Walmart all over again but they try to fix more! Seems like you should bring a lawyer with you.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, Oil change

I made an appointment on October 6th 2021 .I was told to be there at 9:00am.I came there at 8:15.The doors were locked and they weren t there.I called the owner. She told me the mechanic was there.I didn t see any lights on and the garage bay door and office door were closed and locked.I needed the shop to replace a rack and pinion and a power steering pump.It was supposed to be a 6 hour job total.I was stalled and told they would have it done the next day.I called in the afternoon the next day.The owner told me they would have it done until the 3rd day .I know things happen but a 6 hour mechanic job shouldn t take 3 days to finish.I went to pick my car up and the mechanic wrote on my bill that I needed to replace my lower steering coupling. If I couldn t find that part I would have to replace my whole steering column. They were going to charge me $180 labor and they charge service charge fee tonpay with your card.I got a second opinion from another shop that diagnosed it.I found out that the mechanic that replaced the Rack and pinion and my power steering pump had left a pinch nut loose on the rack he installed. This caused my steering wheel to feel more loose than normal to drive. This would have me believe I had to get that steering coupling or steering column replaced if I couldn t find the lower coupling. The reality is the loose pinch nut that was not properly tightened on my car was the only problem my car had.The other shop told me I didn t need to replace my lower steering coupling or steering column.I will get my tires realigned this Saturday. My car should be good to go thanks to the honesty of the other shop.Accidents happen but in my opinion it may have been the other shops way to make more money from me for no reason that I needed. It seems their was dishonesty.I wouldn t take it here .That is wrong to mislead customers to get more business.Service: Steering & suspension repair

Fantastic customer service!!!! Went the extra mile a couple times. I had an alternator swapped out on a vintage Mercedes and they crushed it. Great work! Will use BYOP for some other services on my other cars.

I called for an estimate and the receptionist was very nice and took her time to make sure she could give me the best estimate she could offer. Although the estimate was out of my price range, the receptionist did great on her part.

Bring your vehicle in. They tell you which exact part to buy and how much the install will be. Just bring the part back in after you receive it and they install it. Extremely useful service for those that either don't have the tools or a place to work on their vehicle.

These guys are lifesavers! Stranded in Bowling Green coming home from the Eclipse with a bad alternator. Advanced Auto counter worker referred me to them. They got me in immediately, we're honest on repair needs and gave me more help than any repair place I've ever experiancred. Cathy drove me to get breakfast for my boys, 3 parts stores to find the right alternator and then dropped us at the museum to kill the 5 hours til the part arrived and work completed. I wish these guys were in my hometown - would give 6 stars if possible!

Great place to get your car worked on. Really nice people there. Great part is you bring your parts and they fix your car and you pay for labor.
