This is place you would want to work. It's people friendly & very cultural vibe. They make excellent automotive parts.

I attended my tour prior, I was sitting at a table with approximately eight people, listening to what the lady was talking about, regarding what we would be assembling, different car models Johnan of America assembles for, discussing the points policy, dress code, Ppe safety gear-safety glasses, gloves, steel toe shoes, etc.I am a type of person that can become bored easily. I have a tendency to daydream, when Im not occupied with my hands or fully doing something! I didn't feel good that day either. I kinda started to drift off into my head into the meeting and the person doing the meeting gets up and states infront of everyone: "Are you okay?"The statement : "Are you okay?" can be interpreted as being very rude or being concerned about someone. It can also be embarrassing if you state something like that infront of a crowd of people. I found it very rude, but some people may interpret it as her being concerned. Why do people not understand or know people can drift off into their heads and not catch onto things like this?If she contacted my prior manager, she would have remembered her stating as my reference that, I have a tendency to do this and think inside my head!My first day, my badge wouldnt scan into the building, and nor would it scan the PPE (proper personal equipment) for the safety machine. I had to ask people to badge me in, which can be a safety issue for their building and company, and not only that, I felt embarrassed by it!How could they do that to someone? Was it an error on their end? It could have been. I could have also had this happen as a tactic to be treated differently from others.I asked if this issue could be corrected and it was corrected by my 2nd work day.---------------------------I agree, there is favoritism among management, which can in return, can feel like you're being discriminated against.I was paid $16.00/hr through People Ready, full time employees told me on my first day, they were paid $18.00/hour, and I overheard another employee stating, he was paid $16.50/hour.People should be treated equally, regardless of whom they are and free from discrimination against race, religion, genetics, pregnancy, age, etc.I worked really hard, was able to accomplish an average of 135 to 140 parts per hour on the weld machine on my 1st day on the weld machine (2nd day on the job), but ended up resigning at 3:30am approximately into my shift).I asked another employee training me on the machine : How many parts are we required to get? She stated 300 to 400 parts per hour. I asked: How long will it take someone to accomplish that? She stated : It could take a month or two, it took her awhile to hit her numbers (basically hitting numbers wont happen overnight), but gradually, you will get faster over time. She also stated to me another employee on 1st shift was fired for stating the words: I hate this f--(curse word) job!Her words of stating she hates her job is her opinion, and freedom of speech, as an American citizen. 1st Amendment of the United States of AmericaIf she wasnt being aggressive toward anyone, I feel it is very wrong to fire someone over that! There could be more to the situation than that, too, though!I would hate to be working for an employer, having to worry about expressing how I feel openly, having to worry each day coming to work, that I could get fired over freedom of speech in the work environment!I dont tolerate discrimination of any kind against anyone, regardless of whom they are, strongly believe in EOE (Equal Opportunity for Employment) being enforced as I was raised in the North (Indiana) and the city.I wont recommend Johnan's of America to anyone!MichellePickett blood line

Terrible place to work. 10-12 hours 6 days a week. Lack of training abound. Management doesn't know what's going on and when they're told of situations going on they'll blatantly ignore you. Only 2 shifts 530A/930P advertised, can't afford a 2nd shift but have to work overtime to fill orders.Hr is a joke as well. If you say anything to them or have any problems you're completely on your own

This isn't a very great place to work, the employee turnover rate is high, the managers don't listen, have incredibly high goals with machines that always need maintenance. Some of the stuff about working here is okay, such as benefits for full time. A lot of the full time people are also working a lot of overtime. I've heard of some people working up to 75 hours a week over 7 days. However, we have recently gotten a new President and it is slowly getting better but as someone that is part time, I haven't noticed. I'm already looking for a new job for a full time position.

Awful managementFavoritismUnfair rules because unevenly distributed amongst all employeesMachines constantly breaking, yet you will be blamed for not meeting expectations, because this company is broke and won t fix itself.Training was poor, shown lots of things I wasn t actually supposed to do, and was later reprimanded for.Definitely not worth it. Waist of time. You ve been warned

This place is a joke. The Japanese management is two-faced and very deceitful. The company is up to it's eyes in debt, and probably won't be in business for much longer. Go elsewhere to find work.
