Beds are tiny and uncomfortable with no real blankets and housekeeping are thieves and management doesn t care. Housekeeping went through my 17 year old grandsons backpack and stole his wallet and stole my 9 year old granddaughters pajamas!!!!!Rooms: Small beds no blanketsSafety: Housekeeping will steal from your kids

I like to begin with the good things. The staff was friendly and accommodating and the bathroom and shower were clean. I didn t use the pool because it was raining, but it looked nice enough. The walls were, unfortunately, paper thin and, despite multiple statements online and at check in that stated no pets , I could hear dogs barking in a nearby room all night. The air conditioner sounded like a freight train bustling its freight merrily through the room. We heard every single truck on the highway. The bed had the distinct sag of a piece of rejected plywood that has been on the shelf at Lowe s for month after month, hoping that someone will take him home, despite his curvature. The best thing I can say about the pillows is that they were at one time pillows. I Don t know what they are now. The floor has a sandy grit to it, as if Thoreau himself had been scrubbing them with the sand from his Walden Pond beach. The lamps by the bed could not be coaxed into operation. The shower had no temperature indicators but trial and error discovered that LEFT is the direction for warmer water. The water pressure is good though. When turned up all the way, the shower head hits the back wall with the force of a Japanese bullet train. (You re gonna want to turn the pressure down, mate.)Breakfast was decent, but I was crestfallen to find no tea. No earl gray. No English breakfast. Not even Lipton. The fork dispenser was jammed so guests ate their biscuits and waffles with spoons.

Not a fancy hotel but an extremely accommodating staff!!!! Spent 5 nights here without any issues. Hotel was quiet despite being near the highway, some semi trucks did use the jake brake a bit, but not too disturbing. Parking lot was well lit. The cleaning crews did a good job keeping rooms replenished and kept up. The desk attendants were very approachable, accommodating and professional. The complimentary breakfast was filling and plentiful but could use a little more fruit. All in all, the people make the place and I would stay here again.

We checked in around 11pm. The parking lot was clean (even though it was dark). The line smelled nice & James was the night clerk. He was extremely nice & welcoming. His shift ends @ 7am.Breakfast is from 6am-10am. They have scrambled eggs, finger sausages, cereal, biscuits, hard boiled eggs, toast, danish, grain bars, gravy, Apple & orange juice, a waffle maker, coffee etc.The young lady who came in when James left is also super nice. Our room has a super small toilet. Beds feel like large dish sponges on top of hospital gurney, but we all sleep decently. The TV had a clear picture. We watched ridiculousness right before we fell asleep. The AC blows cold if you are patient to let it do its job.Our room had a mini fridge & microwave. The tub didn t drain very fast, but it did drain.

What I have always believed and stated, no matter what type of business you have, especially in hospitality, it's the people(staff/managers etc) that impress me the most, how clean is only thing that outshines that and this place was clean and absolutely best staff member was front desk/breakfast person(think name James) he extremely professional, polite and absolutely friendly to your guests...need to encourage that in all staff. Only truly "bad" thing was to close yo "highway" or in this places case,"raceway"..seriously, thought was at a car race event and sitting to close to track.

Older hotel, very clean, friendly staff, great options for breakfast. Room did have an overpowering citrus smell but we left the door open a few minutes and cleared up. Check out and all super easy. Great affordable stay

I m not fussy. I camp on a 1/2 pad, and consider Hampton Inn to be a luxury hotel. This hotel was sub par. First the good: exterior is in good condition, rooms on back are quiet, A/C works well, great staff. The bad: beds are old and sag in the middle. Pillows are 1ft square (weird), non-smoking room smelled like smoke (note to self: only stay in non-smoking hotels), itty bitty TV, no real milk for cereal (lactose free only), everything in the room is old and dated. Shower drain was slow.

Good price, clean room, but my room looked out onto the highway and I could head trucks through out the night. The AC had an continuous on feature that shut off in the middle of the night, causing the sounds to be even louder. Pool was nice and clean. Front desk people were fine. The eggs they use as a selling point for their breakfast are cold hard boiled eggs. None of the food is made there, it s all bulk purchased and brought in from elsewhere. Overall it was fine.

This is a great place to stay! The king sized bed I slept in was very comfortable! I slept like a baby. I didn't have any problems with outside noise. The staff are AMAZING. Always so very nice and accommodating! I also love that this hotel continues to offer smoking rooms! That's a rarity these days and what's even more awesome is that when you walk into the room you do NOT smell stale smoke. It is CLEAN! If I hadn't known for sure that I'd been given a smoking room, there's no way I would've known it. I actually checked to see if there was an ashtray there to be sure I had been given the proper room. This place is GREAT! The staff want to make sure you are happy! I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone!

I had car trouble in Barbourville, KY and this is the only hotel in the town. They were going to charge me over $230 for a room for one night because I was paying in cash.I knew no one in the town and was 10 hours away from home. Thankfully I had two ladies who gave me a ride to the next town over and I got a room there. I don't know whether the rooms were nice or not, but I guarantee they aren't nice enough to be charging $230 a night.

Overall, it was clean and budget friendly. Mostly quiet, outside of someone geeked next to me that had to go to their car and set the alarm every 5 min for several hours. Friendly night person. Parking lot in back could use lighting on backside.

Had a pleasant experience. My room was clean, bed was comfortable and the staff was friendly. The complimentary breakfast featured some weird tasting donuts that were a bit stale. Still, I recommend this place. Will be returning if I'm in the area again.

The front staff was amazing and very helpful. Once we got in the room, it was so much better then expected. The room was in great condition and the beds we're so relaxing. I highly recommend everyone to stay at this location. You won't be disappointed.

Stayed here many times. Always had a great experience, never been disappointed. Rooms very clean, beds are great, nice TVs with cable, showers are great, and a nice small outdoor pool. For the money, it's the best hotel between Lexington, KY and Knoxville, TN.They clearly strive to be a step better than the competition in their price/size category. For example, in the lobby they display a small but excellent collection of Native American artifacts (arrowheads) from the local area along with a few other local historical items. They even have a petrified tree stump dug from inside a nearby coal mine that's millions of years old. Very interesting!

So it was what you would expect from a motel on the main road in barbourville. The room was fine, but I think they are overpriced. They do have breakfast which was okay. The WiFi was decent. I probably would stay again if the price was more reasonable.

Awesome VERY nice place and good price for the rooms . Close to restaurants, within walking distance .Rooms: The room is clean and very "homie" and decorated nicely. Maids are very sweet and helpful . Desk clerk treated us very kind .Nearby activities: There's a few restaurants even within walking distance. Hopefully you won't need to get medical attention but there is also a new urgent care clinic.

This may be the only game in town for an overnight's stay, so you may have to stop here. The good news is the personnel are extremely caring, sensitive, and professional and try their best, but they are so limited with available personnel to assist. The property is otherwise 50 years old or more and in some serious need of upgrading and renovation. The rooms are clean, but there is no additional personnel to address minor repairs and anomalies such as: A/C unit that groans and whines each time it shuts off, phones that don't work, small baths, parking lot noise with guests comings and goings, limited "No Smoking" rooms and drain pipes that drip noisily. and no elevator to the second floor.

Good Clean rooms warm and welcoming staff. One complaint. Everything is so small a 6 ft guy is a giant on toilet chairs and tub. Still won't stop me from using it again

Hotel staff is great and the cleaning staff is great. Still; it's in a truly ugly spot, and the non-smoking rooms smell like smoke. I dunno, is it fair to complain that the complimentary breakfast at a chain hotel is mediocre? Or that the vibe is Soviet Melancholy? I guess my very modest expectations were met, which I suppose is kinda what they are going for.

I spent a week at this location for a business trip in one of their king bed single rooms. The pricing is fair for the location and quality of the amenities. The room I stayed in faced the highway although the road noise was minimal. This is what I observed during my visit: Friendly and helpful staff Honest housekeepers Clean spacious rooms Free WiFi and cable Earplugs if you are a light sleeper Complimentary breakfast with plenty of choices

We always stay here when we visit family. It is not fancy...it is convenient when staying in Barbourville. They offer self-serve coffee, you can make yourself a fresh waffle. There are some restaurants close by. It is on highway 25, so there is a lot traffic noise.
