Don't take your vehicles to this shady business. Took my work van in due to no oil pressure after an oil change. They Took a look at it, not very thoroughly, and told me I need a new engine because the engine is making a noise and there is metal in my oil. Said it was going to be 10 to 11 thousand dollars and take 3 to 4 weeks. As a small business owner, I can't just throw down 10 grand and wait a month to get my vehicle back. My van didn't have any engine issues before this. I drive from Kansas to Utah multiple times a year with no issues and no noises. I told them there is no way my engine is bad and gave my opinion of what I thought could be wrong. They immediately changed their tune and said it could be a gasket and would only be 600. If they had started with that, I would have had them fix it for me. But I'm not doing business with people that are just wanting as much money as possible from a customer. The metal was probably from them running my engine with no oil circulating. I was able to get the part myself and change it in 2 hours. Oil pressure is sitting steady and running fine. Again, don't do business with these guys.

We needed to change out our Ram 3500 diesel stock fuel tank to a much larger fuel tank for the Hotshot business. Chris and the Midwest Auto diesel repair team did an inspection on the truck and gave us a detailed report. The team installed the extra capacity fuel tanks (50 & 30 gallon). We're totally satisfied with their work. I highly recommend Midwest Auto and diesel repair. Thank you for your service.

Very respectful from owner to all techs. They listen to your concerns and worth every dime. They don t suggest any work they wouldn t do on their own family s vehicle. They stand behind their work and explain what and why they did what work they did and their quotes are accurate no surprises at time of pick up.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Auto maintenanceServices: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Auto maintenance

Wouldn't recommend paid $1200 in diagnostic. Took it to another shop they told me no one removed valve cover and broken rocker arms just laying in there. Was qouted $20,000 for new motor. Shop around!Service: Auto engine diagnosticService: Auto engine diagnostic

Long story short they put a six thousand dollar bandage on our box truck instead of doing a full diagnostic check to find the complete problem. After talking to other professionals it was really a easy diagnosis and the only reason for the issue. So after we found this out, I have the other shop reach out to them and all they can say is they wont warranty their work that they just did cause they didn't catch the real problem. Now I have reached out myself to discuss this and was put on hold for about 3 seconds then hung up on and haven't been able to receive no further contact from the shop. So they got me for over 6 grand If I was anyone looking for a professional I wouldn't look here.

I've been taking my vehicles to Midwest Auto and Diesel for a few years now after a family member recommended them. Chris is always polite and professional and I have always felt that his pricing was more than fair especially considering the quality of service, cleanliness of facilities, and ease of doing business with an auto repair shop. He has provided great service all around on 4 of my vehicles including an 09 Scion TC, 08 Corolla, 07 Sorrento, and an 02 S-10. Repairs have included everything from computer diagnostics, electrical and fuse problems, brakes, air conditioning, timing belts and water pumps and even routine maintenance. I would recommend this shop to anyone that is looking for an honest mechanic and has the desire to maintain their vehicles properly.

I was from out of the area and had my truck towed to these guys for a fairly major repair. Chris said that it would be a week before he could get to my truck. His work went smoothly and he was able to get us in much sooner. He died an excellent job at the price he quoted us. All in all he did what he said, sooner then he projected, did the work for exactly what he qouted and got us back on the road. Good guy to do business with.

Took my 6.4 in for coolant flush and filtration install a couple weeks ago and left very unsatisfied after $518. Have never had a coolant leak until they worked on the truck. He did offer to pick the truck up, but after the poor workmanship I just didn t feel comfortable sending it back in. We now have out of pocket expenses for coolant. Other shops around to choose from.

They couldn't really quote me a diagnostic amount to look at my car. Gasoline engine. But told me less than 150.00 probably n that doesn't go towards the repair... So do your research people ask questions...Btw lm not giving a bad review. Just a general one. Please be more clear about what you charge and communicate with your employees. Thank you!!!

We had taken a 2007 Ford F250 diesel to him that had overheated, coolant in the oil, and coolant spilling onto the ground. They said it was a hose, and needed a tuner. So $2400 dollars later its still overheating with coolant in the oil, pouring onto ground. So I called and complained and he said, well it wasn't leaking after we test drove it. And i said well, that's because it's all in the oil. Did you check the oil I asked? No, he said, we had no reason too. You are a shop and the first thing something comes in you don't check the oil???? So not only did they charge us $2000 too much, they fixed nothing. Will never ever go there again and will spread the word.

I took my Cummins in to get diagnosed. Joe and Chris did a great job diagnosing my truck for a fair price. My truck was diagnosed within a couple days of being there and I can definitely say I am more than satisfied with their work.

These guys know how to fix diesel trucks. High prices but they do good work. They do checks on your vehicle and keep records on it so if you need to go back later, they know what's going on and you do too

Very professional, went to previous locations to get our car looked at and they kept missing problems on our car. This guy here found and took care of our problem in no time! And didn't even charge. So professional and honest. Highly recommend.

Chris and his team are professional, knowledgeable and affordable when it comes to diesel repairs. They also handle large vehicle (OTR) tires and can handle most all of you PM needs. Great folks that are ASE Certified.

Been to other mechanics who tell me nothing is wrong. I am very aware of my vehicle I go in for an oil change and the things I've been saying to other mechanics was discovered without me saying a word about it. These guys know what they are talking about. I recommend them before I ever go to a non diesel shop

I cold-called Chris as another Industry Professional.... This is exactly how I'd like to see Shops operate. He was open and forthcoming with no hesitation to assist. Our industry needs more of this mutual supporting mindset. Well done Midwest!!!!Service: Engine repairService: Engine repair

It's very difficult to find a good diesel mechanic for a reasonable price. He has done a great job with all of my vehicles for probably 3 years now. I have 2 cars, diesel truck, and a trailer that he does work on.

Had MAD Repair troubleshoot a starting problem in my 1997 Dodge diesel pickup. The problem was related to being out of fuel (my fault). I also had them replace the fuel filters for my FASS Fuel system. The cost was over $300 to troubleshoot the problem, add fuel and replace the fuel filters. They put in cheap, aftermarket filters instead of stock FASS filters and reversed the fuel filter and fuel-water separator so I had to have this work redone 1 month later. I'll take my truck to Diesel Control Technicians in Hutchinson, KS from now on; in the long run, I'll save money and have the peace of mind on knowing that my mechanic will do it right every time on every detail. I bought my truck new in 1996 and treat it well, and am only interested in shops with same mindset.

Better have deep pockets if you take your diesel here. If Chris doesn't know what's wrong with it, he'll keep throwing parts at it and hopes he'll get it. Very expensive parts changer with a cocky attitude.
