Had a great experience here. Kim and the mechanic crew went out of their way to help solve a big issue with our high mileage van that had been serviced in another city with a replacement CV axle that wasn t working. Through research they discovered the non-OEM replacement axle had a history of causing a leak. Kim found a high-quality used OEM axle and had us back on the road. I highly recommend this AAMCO!

They don't do transmission repairs, they do transmission replacements. I went here because I had an engine code for the 2-3 solenoid and my truck wasn't shifting. After the "diagnosis", I was told it was the 2-3 solenoid and that while they were in there I need to just get the transmission rebuilt ($4500). I know that the solenoid is right under the transmission pan. So there is no "getting in there". When I mentioned to the tech that the solenoid is right below the pan, he said my fluid was so bad that if he dropped my transmission pan my transmission wouldn't work any more. I was the manager of a lube store for years. I know want bad trans fluid looks like and mine was still red but due for a transmission flush. I took it home bought AC Delco 1-2 and 2-3 solenoids off Amazon for $30. Spent 2 hours and $100, and now it shifts like a dream. On a side note when they pulled my truck in the shop they said it wouldn't start again. I've never had a problem with it but it's a Chevy and they are known for the ignition module. I went by the shop to look at it and was going to fix it and got as far as hooking up the wires to a new ignition coil, but I had pulled a muscle in my back and just asked them to fix it and gave them the parts I had bought. When I got it back the said it was the ignition module and replaced it with the one I gave them ($220). When I got home I found out that they didn't take the old coil out of the bracket and put the new coil in, they just wedged the new coil in between the oil coil that was still there and the throttle bracket. They also broke one of the screws off that holds my distributor cap on, so it was just held on by one screw. I had to drill out the old screw from the distributor base and tap the hole for a larger screw and grind off the rivets on the old coil so I could bolt the new coil to the bracket. I honestly wouldn't take a lawnmower to them to fix.Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance

I've taken my car here several times, with no issues except the low standard of customer service. My recent visit had a few hiccups with the diagnosis/estimate of my car repair. But I have to say, the change of management to Kim, made a huge difference in my experience. She was friendly, honest and kept me updated regularly.

This shop has been great for me! Took my car here for front end knocking that turned out to be transmission related, so Firestone wouldn't touch it. They couldn't replicate the noise so had me leave the car overnight and multiple staff drove it until they heard the noise. They worked with me on turn around time because I was going out of state. When I noticed my alignment was off after the repair, they had that fixed at no additional cost to me. Kim especially was very nice and determined to make sure my concerns were addressed and that I understood what was going on. I'll definitely be returning here and will recommend it!

Darryl and nala were extremely helpful and thoughtful and considerate of the customers needs. They jumped my car for me on a very difficult day and it is a blessing that I don t take lightly. helped me out in a crunch time and was not expensive. thank you so much. Definitely an auto shop you should go to!!!

Made a phone call, showed up for my appointment, made a stop by the bank and by the time I was leaving the bank, they had my car fixed and ready for me to pick up. Fast, efficiency and reliability from all who worked there. Kim was excellent and those techs Chad and Brandon are hilarious. Love this place. Everyone here was so helpful and kind when I had to get my car fixed. Kim made sure she explained everything when it came to all the finance options. All of the other places I tried didn t have any of that. I won t go anywhere else from now on because I know Kim and her team has my back! I had one of the best customer service experience at AAMCO. Lincoln and Woodlawn were extremely helpful and nice they did a free vechicle courtesy check , very professional, communication skills are excellent Kim and her team were extremely nice and understanding on letting me know what needed to be done to my car they also offered a excellent care care credit you can sign up for on the spot if your having finacial issues on paying the full amount upfront. Overall expericence was wonderful they even arranged for me to have a ride home while they worked on my vehicle. 10/10 would recommend if your having any car trouble.Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance, Brakes, Oil change

They were able to repair my car when another shop couldn t diagnose the issue. John was amazing at explaining the process and repairs to me. He was also able to get my car in and fixed quickly, which I appreciated more than I can put into words. From here on out - I ll never take my car anywhere else. Tim is just fantastic and can be trusted. His number one priority when I brought in my PT cruiser for a whole mess of work was the safety of my family. He was the second person that I took the car to and he was very polite and upfront. He advised me on a number of options in which one was to let the car go. He did not try to sell me anything that I didn't need. Well he fixed my car and after calling around I know I got the best price. What was most impressive he called and asked if he could take my car on a long drive on the high way to make sure it was safe for my family. He stated that he would rather the car break down on him then it break down on me when I have my 3 young boys in the car. Well the car ran great. Great customer service, great service on the car and no BS. He is not out to make a buck on you and gave me options that didn't lead to him making more money. I trust him and will never take my car anywhere else. I have never had a more positive experience and man this car has caused me some heartache. They are a solid professional crew and I never leave reviews. That's how good these guys are.

Ok I spent over $6,000 for a new engine which John was great on that. Well the engine light kept comeing back. It still on. Well May 9th I take it in to check, after I personally checked the engine lights myself. They call. I come up there the mechanic said it would cost me $140 for steam test. I paid for 2 year warranty for the engine. The engine light came on and to check it I would have to pay $140. Doesn't sound like a warranty to me. The mechanic had my vehicle in the garage and backed it out himself and opened to the door for me to get in. I wondered why. I get home and when I get out and close my door i see 3 dents in my door. My vehicle was all dusty except for a 3 foot circle on my door in which the dents were which is looked as though someone tried to polish. That tells me the mechanic knew he caused the dents and let me leave without telling me. I have yet to hear from anyone. I am very disgusted with the way I have been treated by this company.

Very friendly and professional. was able to get my car back on the road even though it took longer due to the fact was searching for a part that is somewhat discontinued. I was even bought lunch for a inconvenience. I was giving a ride to pick up my eyeglasses. I was thankful for the service I well recommend aamco to friends.

Avoid this place at all cost. I had a transmission issue and they made me seem very well taken care of so I trusted leaving my car there. I was told 7-10 days max but they took 3 weeks. They would say they would call me to update on anything and not once did I hear a thing from them, I had to reach out to them multiple times every single day and even was avoided being answered many of them. I finally headed back to Texas since they told me the car was good to go but as soon as I got to here I had a light turn on and when I took it to get checked out at another AAMCO they told me that my axle seals were missing, it wasn t sealed properly, and it was leaking after being told it was perfect again for a 7hr drive. Now that I am trying to contact them to fix the issue and go on about the warranty they are not answering my calls and avoiding me. Very unprofessional. But as soon as I had a male friend call them they answered and switched their tone real quick and said they d get back to me yet still haven t. Do yourself a favor and never visit this location. Terrible service and didn t even charge me the price we agreed on or the warranty that was said in the beginning, now I am $3500 short and still have a non-functioning vehicle.Services: Transmission, Auto engine diagnostic

Manny and Brandon where very professional and sensitive about my car issues. They went the extra mile in making sure I was not paying for something that my dealership should have caught as a safety recall issue. Had as great an experience as is possible when dealing with car issues. Tim took great care of me before, during and after my vehicle was fixed. Lowest price I could find without sacrificing quality of service and Tim even managed to save me more on top of that. Incredibly friendly, honest and professional shop. I can't clap in a review, but I'm currently clapping for AAMCO!

Had a really great experience getting my transmission rebuilt and my Silverado fixed! They were honest and to the point with everything bad on my truck and gave me really good estimates! Not only that Tim kept me updated but also willing to stay late after hours to get my truck out on time, which was greatly appreciated! Amazing shop, great guys and the work is flawless!

The manager is awesome. He's very nice and made sure our car was fixed right. I've had horrible experiences in the past with mechanics but this time I had a very positive experience. We will be taking our vehicles back to him whenever we require a mechanic.

Not satisfied with work. We paid over 3,000 dollars for transmission with warranty and there still the exact same problem going wrong with the car from when we first brought it in. So was it transmission or we being ripped off. How hard is it to figure out why your car is not accelerating past 30-35 mph. Am not mechanic but do the run down could be simple fluid levels, failing clutch I don't know but we brought the car back to them 3 times now and they are stomped with what's the problem I've never heard of it.

We had our 1979 Ford F-250 carburetor replacedand couldn't be happier, they did anoutstanding job. The technicians were veryfriendly and helpful. I would recommend AMMCOto friends and family.

So this place was recommended to us by triple A. We went a few times to get the Ford truck fixed and the Chevy equinox. A few months ago in winter, I had them check and fix the air conditioner and they assured me that it would operate correctly and that was over $500. Now to get the air conditioner fixed again and on an automobile that is 15 years old, they charged me a whopping $701 !!! The previous managers which were good and dedicated to winning the customer are all gone. These people will rob you blind!!! UNHAPPY !!!!!

My family was traveling from MN to TX and we had transmission issues that ended up being more than we bargained for. Other places I called wouldn t even look at my vehicle for almost two weeks, but Cristal heard us out on our situation and helped us! I can t imagine where we would be at without the help of this AAMCO location. There are so many more praises that I could give these people but it wouldn t be enough. All I can say is that customer service was top notch, we were treated like Old friends, and we were treated as a priority! Those are things that you can t put a price on!!!

Such an amazing group of people here that truly take care of their customers and do honest and accurate work. I have have taken my SUV here for not only a complete transmission rebuild, but also for new AC System as well as new fuel pump. They treat you well and they do the RIGHT work that needs to be done for your car. If any future maintenance is needed on my car I would only take it to them. Thanks Tim and Chad!
