There's really no reason to search anywhere else for an honest, ethical, affordable, reliable mechanic. Old school customer service (I say old school in a positive way), hard work ethic and fast service. I worked with Tim and I felt comfortable that he was telling me the truth and giving me a reasonable price. I don't really care what part of the KC metro area you live in, they are worth the drive to Merriam, KS for their services. They are located off I-35 and 67th Street on the frontage road, or you can also get there off Shawnee Mission Parkway. Highly recommend.

This auto shop is the best one in town. These guys are great. They do honest work! That is something you rarely find these days. I've been going here for the last 20+ years and will continue!

This place provided me with one of the most professional automotive experiences I have ever had. They had very friendly customer service and got the job done quickly for a reasonable price. I personally worked with Brad and he was extremely knowledgeable and helped me understand what was wrong with my vehicle. My brother-in-law has been using Rod's for quite awhile. Doing most of my own work, i do not have my "own" mechanic.Well, it was winter time and did not want to lay on my back changing out my front driveshaft (2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee).Called them up ... got me right in and charged me a very fair price.Performed the work just as stated.Going back there this week with a broken exhaust manifold bolt and 02 sensor on same vehicle. Do NOT bring your car here. I ve brought my vehicle here twice and had the same experience both times. They verbally gave me a quoted price for specific services. Each time when I ve come to pick up my car, they inform me that certain services out of the ones we agree upon were not necessary, so they didn t do it. However, the price from the quote did not decrease. They charge you a certain amount and don t provide all of the agreed upon services. Each time I have called them out on this, they claim confusion and that they don t know what I m talking about. These guys are liars and cheats. The definition of sleazy used-car salesmen. They give the impression of being good ole boys ... but they are not. Manipulators looking for an extra buck for less work. Don t go here.

Took my newly purchased 66 c10 there. Tim went through it and repaired what was needed expertly and in a timely manner. Expert repair at a reasonable cost. What more can you ask. Our family has brought cars to Rod's Auto (Specifically Brad) for almost 30 years now and never had a problem. When I lived away from KC Rod's could always beat the price of anyone else I took my car too. Wouldn't trust anyone else to work on my vehicle. Plenty of times they didnt charge because the problem was so small and easy to fix. Never once tried to upsell me either.

They are awesome! Brad is super nice and explains everything well. They don't overcharge and dont try to sell you things you don't need. We will continue to come here with all of our car needs!

Rod's Auto has been helping me with my cars for several years now. They are always up front with me about what is going on with my vehicle. I would definitely recommend taking your vehicle to them.

This place is amazing, Great people to work with great price. Someone tried to Steal my Oldsmobile cutlass ciera and these guy's repaired it back to original. Very Happy with the work . Robert Morris.

Finally took my car to Maceks Auto Service to see what was wrong. Tim thought rotating the drive shaft would get rid of the growling noise coming from the rest end. Tim at Maceks replaced a scored rear wheel bearing.
