Needed to stop for the night and chose Rock Creek Hotel after reading reviews of hotels along our drive. The lady at the front desk was really sweet and friendly. The rooms were clean and had everything needed. Liked the 4cup coffee pot in the room. Gave thw room a 4star just because they are not totally updated. A great place to stop for the night!

For Sabetha this was a decent hotel. Very clean, comfortable, and the staff was friendly and accommodating when you asked. The 2 stars on service was simply due to them not having enough help. Every time you went the desk, you had to ring a bell and wait. The same person running the desk is doing laundry and cleaning rooms. Additionally the only ice machine was broken and so you had to ask for the clerk to get your ice. After 11:00 there is no one there.Noteworthy details: On a Sunday morning there are NO... I repeat.... NO restaurants open for business so there is no place to get breakfast. It really would have been nice if the hotel's breakfast area was open for service... maybe a breakfast sandwich or toast and eggs, etc. Also, there are no microwaves in the rooms so you can't even heat anything up.So, the hotel is actually not bad, I would stay there again, but I'd come prepared.

I have stayed at this hotel several times and I always look forward to it. The couple there when I check in are so friendly and an absolute pleasure to visit with!! The rooms are extremely clean, fresh and comfortable!! The outside surroundings are super clean and relaxing. I can say from experience that this is definitely the ONLY hotel I will stay at in the area!! I definitely give it gold stars!!

Traveling thru with an oversized load, got jammed up In this area because of a wreck. Checked In late and the lady was very nice, didn t get to stay long as I checked out very early in the morning but the place was clean. Beds on the harder side but I slept great and got a shower. Left before breakfast but there was some fresh apples and bananas available. If I was in this area for another night I would come back here.

Let's start with no elevator to get to the second floor, you'll be carrying luggage and down stairs. The rooms were clean and simple. We had double beds. The room was situated on the backside of the hotel which was very hot during the day despite the ac going. No phone in the room. The vent in the bathroom comes on and it's loud. Traditional key and lock. The view out the window was cool. Nothing but a field and the the skies. The lobby was dated. The guest attendant was extremely, unbelievably rude and was caught sneaking into our room and tried to hide it by removing the do not disturb sign and returning it to inside the room in the door knob. She had knocked and I didn't answer because the sign was on there. So, she decided to just open the door up as I stood there in my birthday suit. It was startling, shocking, unnerving, and made me very uncomfortable and upset. She asked if we didn't need anything but I was too caught off guard to even really respond and I nearly slammed the door on her arm. Fortunately for her when she scared me doing that I froze instead. I let her know that I wasn't dressed and that no we didn't need anything. She mentioned smoking being not permitted and that was the first I'd seen or heard either way if it were. She threatened to charge an $150. Having stayed there 3 weeks I made sure to clean that room as if it were my job. The room attendant ended up calling and complaining to my husband's boss. The entire situation was grossly mishandled. There was a slight attempt to redeem from the owner introducing herself to me and was very friendly. She was friendly, would greet me and even asked for a hug when we departed. They never had to wash the sheets And towels because I did that myself. The room attendant said we refused housekeeping. If it was ever offered it was when she asked did we not need anything while I stood there vulnerable and threatened. They added a charge and ultimately padded 225 dollars for charges. Despite the obsessive cleaning I did during the stay and prior to leaving. The attendant had given me dirty looks and was outside the room in view during her shifts every time I came out the room. Including chasing me down the hall once but said nothing. Did it just to look at me with disgust. The feeling was more than mutual.

This hotel was the highlight of our trip. We stayed for 3 nights and the owner, Rachel, was an angel sent from God. My son has ADHD Combined and also suspected Autism. From the moment she met him, she loved him. She treated him like a person and saw him for who he was, even when most people, including family members, see him as an annoyance for being an easily distracted, energetic little boy. She was the most kind person and we will never every forget her. The rooms were clean and modern. Check-in was a breeze and there was always someone available if we needed anything. Praying for Rachel and Rock Creek hotel to be successful, as you reap what you sow. Cannot thank Rachel or the staff at Rock Creek enough for making our stay there so enjoyable! Hands down the best hotel experience I ve ever had.

Asian run.I had a couple problems at this location. First off its $104. Im on the road for my job so I get an overview of the hotel industry across the country. There are hotels that could charge quite a bit less and this is one of those places. There isn t anything particularly special about the property that would warrant a higher price. No nearby attractions that could possibly drive the price higher. When i got to my room the beds were stripped with the linens neatly rolled up and placed at the foot of the mattress.

This was a real nice place to stay. The staff was well informed and checking in was seamless, no problems or delays. The premises and my room were clean and comfortable. The lobby and room were not overly decorated with tacky wall hangings and chain driven design, instead it was homey and relaxing.

The only real positive I can say is that the staff were very friendly. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, the doors to get into the rooms were very confusing, and the rooms were extremely outdated. It also claims to have a meeting room available but when asked if we could use it, we were told no and instead were told to use the lobby to conduct our business. Seems very odd to advertise a meeting room but then not allow someone to use or rent the meeting room for a few hours.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Rock Creek. Christy, and the staff, were supremely helpful, responsive and kind. They even graciously replaced a TV cord that I inadvertently broke. Even the maintenance man was an enjoyable presence! The hotel interior was bright, cheerful and inviting. The room was nice and the bed comfortable. I really couldn't have asked for more.I would heartily recommend this hotel and will certainly stay here my next trip to the area!

Clean and cozyWe hit a winter storm in our way home (Minnesota) from Texas and had to stop to rest. The lobby is welcoming and clean and smelled like cinnamon. We checked into a single King bedroom. The room was large enough to accommodate the breed and a small sitting area. The room also looked newly remodeled, furniture and linens were clean and smelled fresh.

This place is phenomenal! The place has been recently renovated. The accommodates are always nice and clean and the staff is very very friendly. I travel a lot for work and once I caught wind of this place I make it a frequent stay for me. Breakfast provided includes breakfast sandwiches and are hardy for a continental breakfast. The hotel offers a nice comfortable, clean, quiet environment that you can't beat for the price! Just wonderful. I would strongly recommend Rock Creek if you are passing through. I often go out of my way to stay here because the accommodates in a 60+ miles radius just don't meet my needs like this place does.

What a wonderful place to stay!! On a cold winters night, I was welcomed with smiles and kindness. My room was warm and clean. The staff was more than accommodating to my unusual request. {I needed some help with a snow angel for charity}Definitely deserves

Not bad. Paid $85 for 2 queen room. The egg and sausage crossants are yummy. And the staff was friendly. Only issue we had was someone called police for our baby crying... Not sure if it was staff or another room person. But the cops in the town is really nice and understood that our barely 1 year old sleeps in his crib so had a hard time getting him to sleep in his pack n play. On another note, the room was clean and everything worked good.

Im currently still staying at this hotel with my husband and son. We have been waiting to get approved for apartments near by and prices for this hotel are very reasonable. Love how spacious it feels and when we first walked in, it smelled so clean!! Housekeeper deserves a tip.

The bathroom was falling apart, with the sink counter top pulling off the wall. My room was very cold, and the heater made it very hot, with no inbetween. However, my bed was comfortable and the room was clean, despite being a very basic hotel.

Convenient location for the reason we were in the area. Staff and price were perfect BUT the rv area where we parked had grass weeds and burrs up to our knees and hard to walk around. Maintain that area please!! Probably won't return due to this.

Traveled to Sabetha for the solar eclipse. The hotel and RV lot were full. The staff was very friendly and efficient. The room was clean and contained a coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave. We were in a pet designated room in the back, which was very quiet. We prepared a steak dinner on one of their two bbq grills and ate it on the deck, which contained an ample amount of chairs and tables. Overall, the hotel is very basic but quite pleasant. Would certainly book again.

Good clean hotel in Sabetha on the old highway on south edge of town. 2 minutes off (west) 75.Clean rooms, clean hotel, clean common area...Manager Christy Sibold keeps the place running and makes sure guests are happy and taken care of.Good coffee and plenty of it in the morning...breakfast is cereal, oatmeal, toast, fruit, waffles, orange juice. Pretty fair for Sabetha, KS.Bed in room 118 might need to be updated...it was pretty lumpy...but I've been in worse.Looking for a place to sleep as you are running up or down 75...Rock Creek won't disappoint you, clean, safe and priced right.

We were there for the eclipse and the staff obviously was not used to full bookings. There is a single roll away mattress, no elevator, physical keys and they wouldn't let us check out 2 hours late even though there's no possibility someone needed that room
