Liked the new layout of the store, filled our cart as usual and got to the front to check out and the Staff scurried to the front office to watch though the cameras to see if we would self checkout, instead of checking us out. The manager realized we were not going to self so she came out. We spend at least $200 a month at doller general and like it's convenience. We expect an employee to check out our items,

It's clean and neat and easy to find your way around.The prices are comparable if not less than what you'd pay at Walmart. I do love their dark chocolate candy bars that are only a dollar with all the proceeds going to the Literacy project. It's awesome chocolate.

Waited a very long time in a line that wasn't moving. If you want to have a self checkout then I want a discount. Because I don't have time to wait in line while the citizens of Pleasanton Kansas learn how to use a self checkout!

They are a lot closer to us the other stores. They just received a up grade. DG now has some fresh produce. And are taking the U,-card. The tech part has not caught up yet. But they are working on it. It is great.

Dollar General Stores, in general, are very reasonably priced, with as many 'Made in USA' labels as they can source. This one is no different, in that regard. The employees are friendly, and the store well-stocked.You're not going to find high-end haute coture on the racks, but you will find practical clothing and shoes at a very good price. You will also find a wide selection of toys, gardening supplies, health and beauty supplies, and even some automotive and hardware goodies. Nearly anything you need from a department store on any given day will be found here, at good discount store prices.

Everytime I go into the store its dirty and it's hard to get down the isles. Staff never smiles and management is very rude. I feel they need new management that has good customer service skills. I've been in customer service work for years. You have to please the customers.

Really wish the DG Corp would allow more items to be mobile ordered such as cold/frozen food. Like that being on quarentin they will pace my items on my truck hood for contactless curbside service. No one gets near anyone. I dont leave my truck and all are protected. However this contactless service may vary by store

Go-to store for household toiletries, one or two grocery items, pet supplies, etc if I don't feel like driving to Fort Scott or Kansas City. It's the kind of place you run into if you reliaze you're out of an item or 2 or you forgot to buy something from Walmart. Could be a little cleaner. Except for management, staff is like a revolving door and the register is down half the time. Convenience makes up for this, though.

Not a bad store! For sure the mall for that town. As long as you got a good cashier you re experience will be fine. But do worn out if towners get a harsh eye

If I could I would rate this store no stars the way that the employees treat the customers here. It's beyond terrible. The cashier at this store will assume that you are stealing if you have a backpack on your back and ask you to leave it at the front of the store. EVEN IF YOU ARE IN THE STORE FOR ONLY 5 MINUTES TO GET SOMETHING. Watch out though. If this happens to anyone else, please take your wallet, keys, and cellphone because you never know about the world today. The cashier gave me a dirty look, but oh well. It's whatever. Not giving this Dollar General any more dollars that's for sure. It doesn't even deserve a penny.

10-20-14 I burned by arm with hot grease this morning. I got in my truck, headed to Dollar General in Pleasanton, KS to get medication and bandages. I was disgusted when I first walked in the door noticing an odor. I did not even pick up a basket or take a cart...they were filthy. As I headed to the isle with the bandages, there was spilled pop, sticky, filth on the floor every where....dirt, paper and who knows what. This was not recent ... this filth has been on the floor for weeks, months. I'd be horrified if I actually knew how long it's been that the floors have been mopped. I needed the meds and bandages, so I picked them out, took them to the counter. OMG, the register counter was covered in sticky, nasty stains and wet gross stuff. I told the lady at the register that I was NOT placing these sterile bandages on that counter, showing her the blistered burn on my arm. She gave me a funny look, got a bottle made two squirts and wiped with a paper towel. She told me someone's milk spilled this morning. REALLY???? And it was STILL on the counter!!! I told her this place was the most disgusting dirty store I have ever been in. She got my total, I paid via credit card...in a hurry I didn't put the signature pointer back in the slot....when I was leaving, she had the nerve to tell me the pen goes back here in this slot. I didn't know whether to give her a piece of mind or laugh. She has no idea how lucky she is...I needed to get back home and get my arm bandaged. It will be a long long time, IF EVER, I go back into that store. Management of Dollar General, someone better take a look at this place!!!! People...DO YOUR JOBS! The manager of this store needs to be fired and replaced immediately! BAD BAD BAD reputation for your company.

Great prices, most everything in stock need from basic living. Food items, clothing, art supplies. Manager and staff service pleasanton ks with friendly service.

There are two Dollar General stores within 11 miles of my home. This is the further of the two, and cleaner plus better-stocked than the other (closer to me) store.

Store is poorly staffed and dirty. Stocking carts restricts access to many items and area. Many items are lacking prices and some shelf prices seem to be missing or confusing.

Cherokee Kansas location really frustrates me. They are overpriced compared to the locations near them. Very limited items and selection. Several main items they don't carry it all

It always seems to be cluttered and needing a good dusting. But besides that, the staff always is super friendly to me and my 3 girls.

The manager Chrissy or Christy is very rude and unprofessional. She was pissed she had to come help her cashier to get my coupon to work.

The employees are great but the store is always a mess , there is always merchandise sitting in isles waiting to be unloaded.

This place has your typical Dollar General Goods. This particular Dollar General was not very organized and not very clean.
