Hooray, my first Walmart in Kansas and my first time back in this state since 2019. This was a quick stop for a bathroom break and to pick up some snacks. I found the store to be tidy, well stocked and clean. The cart corrals outside were mostly clear on a Sunday morning.Inside, a few registers open but like most Walmarts they have swapped out more registers for self checkouts and "scan and go" checkouts. Clothing section was tidy and displays were folded properly. Front checkouts and islands were tidy and properly stocked. I had no problem finding what I wanted in the cold section. Self-checkout was quick.Overall, a good experience at this Walmart.

Best part is the self check out. The selection of items hasn't changed much in the past 10 years. Good for groceries not so much for crafts or stationery.

As someone who works at Walmart I know this is part of register training. As someone who is trained in food safety this is just common sense.Your baggers need to stop putting meat in with the rest of the groceries , and definitely need to keep that eyerool attitude to themselves when I go out of my way to fix their negligence and do it myself.

Self checkout is a joke, if you want us to check out then don't look at us like we are thieves. Bring back cashiers and problem solved.

Just bought two gift cards for my son and fair warning, they ask you repeatedly why you want it and won't sell them to you if you don't say they're going to mexico. She said I was being defensive, what the hell does that mean, and does walmart hire psychology experts now? she sure didn't come off as knowledgeable. Heil Walmart the new gestapo is here. Next time I'll ask them how much I should give him for his birthday, they insist its up to them to make that decision. Unbelievable. If they think I'm going to tell a rude nasty little clerk girl my financials they can go eat mud and eff off. Mind your own business walmart, and stop playing Big Brother with your nose where it doesn't belong. Oh and did I say eff off?

Very unsatisfying. There is no interaction between employee and customer thanks to self checkout, a lot of the price tags are inaccurately placed, and the little employee interaction you do get is a person asking to check your receipt. It's not what it used to be. It's honestly sad to see so little care for the customers. This is at most Walmarts, not just this one.

I believe all stores should be putting everything a person buys at either Walmart North or South in bags, even MILK! It definitely doesn't want my milk jugsall going into my house all gross with what's on my floor of my car.Thank you, WALMART, FOR UNDERSTANDING AFTER REPEATING EVERTIME I PICK UP MY ORDER

Cashier did not give me all the sacks, I called and was told to come back as they had them behind the service desk, drove 30 miles only to be told they did not have them, the service desk employee was incredibly rude, I left without items I had purchased. Will not shop with Walmart again as this isn t the first bad experience I have had and there are plenty of others stores

The fact that Walmart has almost exclusively self check out, with the option to send the receipt to phone or email, then require you show your phone to a stranger in order to leave without them calling the cops as a corporate policy is absolutely wild

Nothing special or unique about this location. However, they have been making a lot of changes to the floor plan and product facing. Seems to through phases of small changes. Never used tire shop so couldn't say. Bakery always good. They do have a section of Pitt State apperal that I love.

Nice workers but had to wait for someone to come with a key to unlock a $10 lightbulb. Then the stupid QR code they had to check the bulb type for my car didn't help me bc it told me the wrong bulb to pick. Had to do the return and go back to Automotive where I found an actual book which helped me. Should've went to an Automotive store!

ordered a set of tires which arrived on time at the store, so went their to get 2 tire put on then back and got the durango to get the other 2 tires put on. Both times I was helped pretty fast girl at counter knew what she was doing, put the instructions on service order correct which don't happen often. Guys putting tires on did a great job and didn't have to wait 2 to 3 hours for service to be done, which was a first at most 45 min. on both trips and the guys I believe actually know what their doing. I was very pleased on the job they did, they were very friendly now if walmart could just keep those employees I would recommend the service. And I very seldon recommended Walmart because most time you either cant find an employee to help you or they have less knowledge then you do. So yeah this was a good shopping trip.

Pittsburg Kansas Walmart is top-notch. I locked my keys in my car and they helped Paul the Pittsburgh Police department and Nelly have the sheriff help me get into my car and save me hundreds of miles of driving back and forth to get my car unlocked. A big thumbs-up to the sheriff for doing a hard job and helping a guy that was in a tight spot A+++++

I'm not a fan. They closed down a lot of small businesses in our town when they moved next door, built a new structure, and opened the SuperCenter. They CONSTANTLY move things around, or put things on isles that make no sense. So, you're walking around forever trying to find what you're looking for. This is their way of getting you to see/buy more products, but it's time consuming and irritating. The store is very clean and the employees are generally friendly. Their prices are a mix of reasonable to outrageous. They sell tires and batteries for cars, boats, mowers, and so on. They do tire installs and flat repairs, routine maintenance, and so on. Full electronics department. Office department. Full service hot and cold Deli. Shoe department. Craft/fabric center. Pharmacy. Garden center. Clothing departments separated from babies to plus sizes. A jewelry counter, but good luck finding someone to help you there. They have added a full-time cashier/register in the beauty department. I'm not sure if you're now required to check out before you leave that area or not, as I haven't shopped there since the addition. I imagine this helps cut down on theft, but it's nice that you don't have to wait forever for someone to unlock a door for you to get something, then you have to remember it's at the service desk when you finally do check out. They have self-checkout areas by each entrance/exit. Which, I use but I am not morally a fan of. These self-help systems have caused a lot of employees to lose their jobs. Very few people get to work full-time and they don't pay well, so there is a lot of turnover. Always new hires, who have to be trained and learn the store. This often causes slow service and long lines. Unless I have time to wait, I use the self-checkout.Lots of Handicapped Parking I do not like the fact that they don't have cart stalls in the handicapped parking areas. So, there are loose carts everywhere around those areas. The store is fully handicapped accessible, including restrooms. The one located at the front of the store is usually unkept. The one at the back of the store is normally clean. They have added several electric scooters, but it's still hard to get one. They have designated several parking spaces for order ahead pick up.

This company is doing everything in its power to get its customers not to shop in the store. Cosmetics- entire separate shopping experience from the rest of the store.Family planning cabinets- good luck finding someone to open it.$2 flashlight under lock and keySelf checkout only- and you have to do it all on a 1x1 table, and hope you scanned the right codes.Toughest meat this side the Mississippi, if they have any.Packages contain less but cost more somehow. Then once you are done with the hassle that is the entire shopping experience here. They want to see your receipt at the door. Nah yo, you got paid, that means we are done.Want to talk to the manager? Nope you can t do that anymore. I wanted to request a product through the store manager like I have done in the past. Nope, you have to call corporate. Managers aren t even required to deal with customers. Insane business practices, and yet most other better options have gone belly up.All in all, Walmart is terrible. This company clearly hates its employees and it s customers. Nobody is happy to go to Walmart anymore. When I was a kid, we would all go as a family to browse around. Employees were friendly, happy and roller skated all over the store. It s just sad to see what this place has become. No more rollbacks, and no more save money live better .

Walked in. Grabbed an overpriced, very thin, generic white men's dress shirt. Only one choice since the other white option was more yellowish/dirty white. Paid the $21 at self check out and walked out. Guess most things at Walmart are now 'better than nothing'. And last minute items when you didn't order soon enough online.

The older man at the door who checks receipts is very pushy and rude. Definitely keeps me from going there anymore than I absolutely have to. Thankfully, there's TONS of other shopping options in the same area!

It's Walmart before long you'll be considered employee to shop there. Do everything yourself I even greet myself most times. Bag my own goods check myself out what the heck prices go up but they keep cutting cost so consumer is the one taking it in the shorts. We're the last ones in line of the chain.
