I've been here a couple of times to have relatively minor things fixed on my car. They have always been incredibly nice and treat you so well. They do their best to make sure that everything is right with your car and I really appreciate that. I would recommend them to anyone and I will be going back for any other maintenance issues that they can help with!

I've had good service through these guys before but their last job left a bad impression. They have installed my trunk struts backwards and it wouldn't keep the trunk up properly. I had also notice that they had scratched my brand new tint that I had put on my back window and my trunk. I just decided to go to another shop to get the job done if these guys couldn't put on trunk struts right and charge an arm and leg for it. All in all just very disappointing service.

I have been using this shop for my personal and business vehicles for more than 15 years. Jake and Craig Stroman are great folks and provide the highest level of professionalism. I write very few reviews, but my latest discussion with them about an expensive repair reaffirms how much I appreciate their presence in our community.

I have been using Maurer (now Stroman) to service my older vehicles for years. They are knowledgeable, honest, and call to explain the needed repair and costs before proceeding. At times, they have diagnosed problems, and I have chosen to do the repairs myself. Their fee for this is very reasonable, and they don't get upset. When the repairs are too much for me, they do a good job, stand behind their work, and their fees are competitive. Most importantly, they are honest. You can trust Craig and the crew at Maurer.

My entire family has been coming here since 1996. I was a new driver back then and they have taken excellent care of me since. I now have a driving teenager and I trust ONLY here to make sure my son's truck is safe for him. They do a thorough job and never try to sell you a service you don't need. They're just wonderful.

Really annoyed with the technicians for not servicing my tires to fill them up with air when requested during my oil change, it s cold outside and my TPMS light is on.

I was quoted $1,100 to replace 2 rear struts on my Toyota Camry, they said the reason for the steep price was because you have to dismantle the back seat to gain access to the strut. This is true- but I was able to do it by myself in a few minutes. I bought the parts for under 400, and me and my step dad had it done in under 2 hours with no issues. Bad justification for steep prices.

We have been loyal customers for almost 20 years now, back when the business was named Maurer Tire & Auto Service. Now, the business has changed hands and is called Stroman Tire & Auto. I would not recommend taking your car there now.The first incident was a botched simple oil change. The technician did not add enough oil to even reach the dipstick. The result was a series of check engine lights and loss of power for a day, until I figured out that the engine needed oil.The other incident was a leak in the coolant system. The Stroman techs replaced the radiator and hoses. 4 days later, the jeep is taken to a Jeep dealership with no coolant in the system. Turns out that the thermostat was leaking. This resulted in a damaged water pump that added an addition $1000 on top of the over-priced repairs charged by Stroman. Craig claimed they tested my Jeep for one and a half hours, yet there was no noted change in the fuel gauge. Craig's team failed to either correctly identify where the coolant leak was, or failed to find all of the leaks in the system. Craig's response when presented with the damage to the water pump was effectively a shoulder shrug and a whatever.Based on poor technician troubleshooting and repairs, along with poor customer service from the owner, Maurer/Stroman is no longer recommended.

These guys were not able to diagnose or repair my 2005 Civic that was overheating. They changed the radiator for almost 1k and it kept overheating, and they were never able to figure out the issue. They were really friendly about it though.My brakes started making noise on my Camry, and these guys tried to tell me I needed full brake replacement on the front. Brakes, rotors, and calipers for ~700. I declined and took it elsewhere, it was fixed for ~340 because I didn't actually need calipers.I would not recommend this mechanic to others.

I have been taking my vehicle to these guys for over 20 years. The service has always been very friendly and professional. They have done every thing on my vehicles through out the years from an oil change to a complete engine swap on a vehicle I bought knowing the engine was bad. The price has always been fair. Every time time I need new tires or an oil change or any thing else this is the only place I will go. Some places will do it for less, but no one will do it better.

I was impressed with my experience from start to finish. From the moment I called for an alignment appointment to paying for the service. I was welcomed into the shop and treated with respect. They estimated an hour service time and they promptly called me within the hour to let me know the vehicle was ready. The waiting area was clean with plenty of seats to wait for your vehicle to be serviced. I highly recommend their services to care for your vehicle.

Went there for an oil change, 30 minutes (with appointment). Professional, courteous, affordable, and didn't try to sell me anything like other places. Definitely going back!

Outstanding! I have been a customer for over 40 years. I never have to worry that they'll charge me for unnecessary work. I've even gone in and asked if something needed to be replaced and they said no. This is the only place I service my cars and buy tires from.

We have been using Maurer tire in Olathe service our vehicles for 20 years! I wouldn't take my vehicles anywhere else. And, now that I own my own business, they service all our work vehicles too. You can completely trust to staff there to be honest and fair. I have many examples where they could of taken advantage of me (since I'm mechanically challenged when it comes to vehicles), but they have always done the right thing. I recommend all my friends and family to use this facility and will continue to promote them for as long as they keep their high standards.

I have been coming here for 10 years. They are so thorough. People tell me to look around for pricing but it's more convienance and trust. Just had a major expense and the manager, Craig, always treats me right. Gave me some discounts and leant me a personal vehicle because they had to keep my car over night. They are flexible and never have gone the most expensive route. I'd spends few extra dollars to come in here! Side note 8/2020... my car was in the shop for 10 days. Craig loaned me another vehicle, very nice! After i got my car back and at work , 2 different employees commented on one of my headlights, said it looked brand new. Contacted Maurer and Jake told me it was replaced bc it was damaged while in the shop.. at "no charge to me"??!! They should have called me when it happened or told me when i was paying my $3000 bill. To have to email then and ask... felt betrayed and not like a valued customer that i had been for 10+ years

Didn't expect them to be open on a holiday. They were able to put in a tail light very quickly, near to closing time with professionalism and cheer.Price was half what I was expecting.Will definitely return and recommend to others!

Very friendly. Extremely fair pricing, best I've found! Honest in diagnosis. They don't over diagnose either. Sometimes as a woman I have experienced in other shops, they tell you a million things need fixed or replaced and over charge you. I've always had great experiences at Maurer!

The company I work for has an account to get service here. I will say that they always treat me like I'm a paying customer, which is very nice, respectful, and are prompt about the service. Many times at the spur of the moment I have dropped my vehicle off to get service, and they are always willing to help and get it done in a timely manner.

I've been taking my old Pontiac here for years and they've kept it in top shape for me. After a bad experience at a different mechanic, my Lexus is coming here, too. These guys rock. They're honest, fairly priced, and always stand by their work. If they don't get something right the first time, don't worry. They'll get it right for you.

Mixed feelings. I was treated really nice and agree with posts about Craig being fair and professional. However, I had an oil change on 2018 GMC Terrain SLE with 21,000 miles. 2,000 miles later oil leaks all over my driveway. This stressed me out because my old SUV never leaked like this. Turned out the oil filter was loose. They fixed it, no charge. Great. But I now have oil stains all over my driveway. If this is typical of GMC model, it's not Maurer at fault, but I can get oil changes elsewhere with free tire rotation for the same cost, or less. Something to think about.

Been using Maurer for more than 10 years. Honest, great service, and stand by their work. They're especially good at outlining maintenance - what needs to be done now and what's on the horizon - so you can plan, as opposed to pressuring you into having work done. I highly recommend!!

I got a plug done here for a flat tire, took the wheel/tire to them in the morning and it was done for a very reasonable price by the afternoon. Would recommend.

Had my car towed to Maurer today when it wouldn't start. They fit me in even though they were very busy and had my car repaired within a few hours. Craig was very nice, I'll definitely be a repeat customer!!

Absolutely the only place I will take my car! They are so nice and helpful.The dealership, where I used to take my car, told me I needed a front end alignment. I went to Mauer and found that wasn't true. They were truly helpful and so I took my car to them to do some needed work today. They accidently did an extra service and were nice enough to not have me pay for it. I will now go to them for all my cars servicing and repairs.If you need to rely on a great mechanic, then you need to start going to Mauer. Honest, quick and the mechanics there are very polite!

Very good customer service. I appreciate a facility that has reasonable prices and are willing to help you out if you need a ride. Hard to find a good auto repair shop in KC. But I can say this is one of them.
