I have used Bailey s for a very long time since they have always been fair, honest & reliable. This time I dropped my car off on Wed night for a Thurs appt. Never heard from them all day Thurs. When I called they said they couldn t get to it but would get to it first thing Fri. Then I didn t hear from them again Fri so I called at 4:00pm. Their excuse was someone didn t show up for work so they didn t work on my car, nor did they bother to let me know on on Fri before a 3-day weekend. They said I could come pick it up and bring it back sometime the next week - maybe Wed ! They ve lost my business and recommendations. Zero for customer service & consideration. What a disappointment & inconvenience. I d give them zero stars if I could.

I have been using Bailey's for all of our car care needs since 2012. Pat is super fair in pricing. I have saved a ton versus dealers. They always look for the best way to solve the problem without extensive, unnecessary extras. I have recommended them to many friends who are now loyal customers. It's hard to find an auto shop that you can trust, but I trust Pat and his team at Bailey's.

I have had a couple of oil changes, a full break job, bought 4 Perelli tires, mounted, balanced, and installed. Also got an alignment. Then somebody drilled a screw into the sidewall. Ok, sidewall puncture, can't be fixed you have to replace it. When I bought the tires it took 3 days to get them in. I called Bailey's told him what what happened gave him the brand, model, and size of the tire. After a week I called, he said they were backorder. I waited another week, he said they were on national backorder and nobody could get them. This is my only vehicle and I'm coming up on 2 and 1/2 weeks on a donut tire. Besides I have never heard of Perelli going on backorder and I've been buying them since 1978. So I Google, "Perelli tires in Olathe, in stock". Walmart, Tires Plus, Big O, and Discount Tires, all had them. So, I called them, all of them. Everyone said in stock not on backorder. HE LIED TO ME! Now days not that big of a surprise, but I can't have someone like that working on my only car.

I've used Baileys a few times now. Pat in the front office is just wonderful. After originally having an issue Baileys made it right corrected the problem and my car drives well. I will recommend them to everyone.

Moved here a few years ago and my brother recommended this place. My husband and I have been taking my car here a couple times a year ever since, and we have had a good experience every time. One time a Firestone Auto Care had even told me I had a leak that would take $700, so I got a second opinion at Bailey's and they said there was nothing wrong with it and didn't need repaired. Bailey's saved me that $700! These are the honest guys. I won't go anywhere else.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

Quoted me a rough estimate of 300, after I had the car towed there they called and said they got it and will call me once they look at it. Called me 3 days later and said the car was ready and I owe them 800. Even after it ended up being the same exact thing I told them I thought it was originally along with the make and model. Never gave me an option, just fixed it with no authorization at all. After we got home I realized they didn t even put the dash back on right. Absolutely awful mechanic and business.

Been chasing issues on my truck for months and had it at a few other local shops that I spent too much money on diagnostics and not having the problem figured out. I went to Bailey s who I completely forgotten about because I really just needed oil changes in the past. They had figured out what the main problem was in a short time and trusted what they determined. Hard to find auto shops that you can trust these days and feel they have repair mechanics you have trust in. Pat let me talk to his top mechanic about questions I had on fixing my truck before dropping some serious money down and was totally impressed with his answers and opinion with no BS just to take your money.Because of my experience my wife s Enclave had a check engine light that came on and had a window washer issue that was never fixed and she took it to Bailey s to have repaired now instead of the dealer where she normally goes to.Definitely give Bailey s a try if you need your vehicle worked on

Pat and Team are awesome! Great mechanics and very honest. Quoted one price and when it did not take as much time as expected he lowered price. Most places would have just charge you the original quote.

My Explorer's exhaust system failed at the flange connection and it was unacceptably loud. Most shops wanted to replace the whole exhaust system for $600-700 but the rest of the system was in good shape. I just needed the flange repaired.I contacted Bailey's and Pat gave a repair estimate on the phone that was 10% of what it would cost to replace the exhaust system. And he fit the job in to their schedule the very same day. And, the final bill was the same as the estimate! They cut out the flange and welded a short pipe in its place. It was quality workmanship and a perfect solution for my situation.I was really impressed and pleased with my experience at Bailey's and will absolutely use their services again.

Initially quoted 1100$ for a water pump issue after they looked at it and had it up on the racks. Authorized the work and then called to pay once the work was complete. He did not mention that he increased the labor cost by 560$ when he ran my card by phone. When I picked up the car after-hours. 1900$ was the final price after the work was completed since he wasn't including taxes in the initial estimate for some reason. I included a photo of the price increase that he failed to mention until payment was made.I would stay away from this auto shop because of the lack of communication, and in a different vehicle around the same time they replaced parts that were not worn, and then wouldn't honor warranty work when the mechanic missed some work. Pat "looked" at the grinding issue and said the front bearing was going out. Said he would replace it for 500$, I took it elsewhere and they showed us the rotor was damaged when they replaced them. A friend of mine recommended In Motion auto around the corner so we will try there next.

Arrived for a scheduled appointment for brakes. Left the truck for the full day. Was informed the truck would be done by end of the day and they would call me when truck was ready. Shortly before closing I had not received a call so I called them. They said they never had time to get to it and might be able to do it the next day. No call, no warning, no apology nothing other than we might get to it tomorrow . Told them to leave the keys in the truck and I d pick it up and take it somewhere else. Plenty of other places that respect my time and are at least courteous if things do not go according to plan.Service: Brakes

I ve been looking for a good, affordable, auto repair shop in Johnson county for years and finally found one. Referred to me by a friend, these guys are extremely polite and courteous, their prices are extremely fair too. Really glad I found them. They will be getting my business on my cars in the future. They specialize in brakes and exhaust but do other things. Give them a call before you do anybody else.

So great to find a local shop that's honest, communicates with you and is affordable. I've used Bailey's 3 times over the last 5 years and will be going back the next time. Every time I go in the guys are polite and speak to me like a person. They give options and have always communicate when necessary.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Auto engine diagnosticServices: General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic

I have used Bailey's Auto Service a few times over the years, and they have always done a great job. I recently moved out to Colorado, but about two weeks before I moved, I had them do some work on my brakes. Just days after arriving in Colorado, I began to have problems with my brakes again. I had the brakes serviced again and later called up Bailey's.They mailed me a check for a partial refund as I couldn't drive the 9 hours back to Olathe!! Outstanding service, I highly recommend these guys. A+++Service: Brakes

I am very surprised by the negative reviews. We have 5 cars in our family and have never had any issues with the work performed at Bailey's. In fact, I don't ask for estimates in advance. I call and ask when I can bring one of the vehicles by, tell them what the problem is with the car and they take care of it. The last car we dropped off a few days ago, Pat did call because of the amount of work that was necessary. Because we will soon be replacing this vehicle, we did appreciate the call and the opportunity to choose which repairs would be made. I love knowing that I have one place to take our vehicles for repairs and oil changes.Negative reviews are usually the result of a bad day or a bad attitude of the individual posting. Look back at their other reviews and you will see a string of negatives.Bailey's Auto Service is prompt, friendly, knowledgeable and honest. We wouldn't take our vehicles any other place.

I've taken my jeep here a few times, and the last 2 times they didn't call me back to tell me what was wrong with my car and how they were going to fix it... They simply called me back to tell me it was finished. Not a whole lot of peace of mind there... The staff is friendly enough, but there's not a whole lot of communication between them and the customer. They do work quickly as I've always gotten my car back within a day or 2. They are pretty pricey though...

We are a family of 5 with 5 cars. My neighbor is uber mechanical so I several years back I asked who he would recommend for A to Z mechanical and he said Bailey's. I have been using them for over 5 years and these guys are AMAZING and HONEST. I have read several of the poor reviews and they don't sound anything like my experience and I just have to assume that those people are dolts. Unless it is routine maintenance they always call with a diagnosis of the problem and get approval to repair beforehand and on several occasions I have had them call and say there was nothing wrong and there is no charge. In August 2018 I took my son's 2004 Explorer to them. I wanted them to check it out thoroughly since he was going to school in Florida and was taking his car. I was expecting at least a serpentine belt, timing belt, battery, tune up, wiper blades, thermostat...something. I got the call and the only thing they recommended was an oil change.... After the second no charge and their refusal to take any money I gave them a $50 to buy pizza for the shop. Like I said....these guys are top notch mechanics, charge a fair price for quality work and sometimes charge nothing when that is the correct answer.

I took my Jeep in for an oil change at a quick lube and they told me that I had antifreeze in the oil and that it would need a head gasket. They shot me an estimate of $1,000 to fix it and suggested that I leave it there because I wouldn't want to drive it. Instead, I called Bailey's who has done excellent work for me in the past for an estimate and they told me they could do it for less than $700 but it didn't sound to them like the head gasket was the problem. I took it by Bailey's and he walked out to the Jeep with me and checked the oil and told me that the problem was a hose but he didn't have the part in stock and would have to order it. I asked him to go ahead and order the part and that I would return in several days to have it fixed. To be honest, I actually considered getting the hose myself and putting it on but I figured that if he was going to be honest with me, I would be honest with him and have them do the work. So I went back today and 15 minutes later I had the hose on and they didn't even charge labor! Absolutely awesome! I wouldn't hesitate once to bring my vehicle to Bailey's in the future. I hope this review helps you with your decision because in a dishonest world it is great to know an honest mechanic!

I've been taking my vehicles to Bailey's Auto Service for about 15 years. To have a trusting relationship with your mechanics and auto repair shop is such a comforting feeling. Pat is as honest as the day is long and has gone above and beyond to not only provide the best service in the industry, but at a price that puts others to shame. I cannot recommend this business enough if you are also looking for a top quality, professional company like Bailey's Auto Service.

I have been long time customer of Bailey's along with my parents before me. Pat and his employees really do take pride in their work. Couple times have had little problem after having work done, they were quick to remedy the situation. Thank you! Pat Jeff Larry and everyone at Bailey's, you are the best.

Full review in photos. It is apparent that the owner is willing to provide poor customer service and cut corners to cover up his wrongdoings when work is not done correctly such as claiming additional work. I would rate this shop a one if his subordinates did not attempt to rectify a bad situation.Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Brakes, Oil changeServices: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Brakes, Oil change

STOP NOW! YOU'RE ABOUT TO BE ROBBED! These are terribly dishonest and rude people. When I gave the "free estimate" results that I had to pay $53.00 for to 2 other local mechanics for their ACTUAL free estimate. They both reacted identically - They burst out laughing and called Pat a thief and said this wasn't the first time they had heard the same thing and taken business away from him for his overpriced and dishonest ways. PLEASE - if you are reading this - CHOOSE ANY OTHER MECHANIC OR AUTO SHOP. Bailey's tried to charge me $350 for a $60 wheel bearing. They have no class, tact, professional skills or business acumen. Abandon all hope ye who repair here.Pat Bailey is a terrible business man, maliciously dishonest, and very, very rude. He's a blight on Olathe. He is simply THE WORST CHOICE YOU CAN MAKE.

I've been using them for a few years, but lately it seems like their communication has gone downhill. For example, the last time I used them:1) They told me they'd look at the car that evening. Two days later, I call and ask about it, and they can't find my information and ask if I'm sure my car is there. After putting me on hold, another guy picks up and asks for my info, eventually finds it and says they haven't looked at it yet, but it will be done on Friday.2) I call on Friday evening to see if the car is done, and they tell me I must have called the wrong Bailey's, as they don't have my car.3) After looking online again, I verified I had the right number all along, so I call back and they find my information. The car isn't fixed yet, but now it'll be done Monday.4) I call Monday evening, and find out the car was done, but nobody called me to tell me it was ready to pick up.5) I go to pick up the car, and found they've fixed other things in addition to what I brought it in for. They never called me to say they'd found these other problems or if it was OK to work on them. I've never had a mechanic just go ahead and fix things without first calling, going over the work to be done, and giving me an estimated cost for the work. If it's a loose bolt and they just tighten it up for free while working on the car, sure, but not if it's something with a cost associated.Baliey's seems to do decent work, but something must have happened in the last year or so that's caused them to decline a bit, as I don't remember having to deal with this sort of stuff the first few years I used them. I can't imagine being a mechanic and not calling to tell someone what I'm doing to their car and how much it should cost, or not doing a basic call to tell the client their car is ready to pick up. While they're not terrible, I'll be switching to a new mechanic after my last couple experiences.

Thank you Baileys for fixing my AC, The other shop put in a 20 amp fuse and you replace it with 25 amp fuse,I was bowled over when you didn't charge me for the 5 min job and fuse. You also did a excellent job on my heater core last winter. I am so glad i found you.

BUYER BEWARE! Not sure if this was ignorance and they are trying to scam you. Either way you should probably bring your car somewhere else. I went in yesterday because my car was leaking water into the passenger side of the floorboard. They took my car back the individual told me that I had a bad Heater Core and that it was actually coolant leaking not water. The cost for replacement and labor was right around $800. To get a second opinion I took it to another recommended auto repair shop (Smether's Auto - Olathe) and they told me that is was indeed water leaking and charged me $50 to replace a drain hose. Problem solved. Ignorance or dishonesty? Not sure.
