I was advised by two mechanic shops in Hutchinson Ks that I needed a new transmission for $4200.00. The only symptom was leaks. I took it to Nightingale transmission ,they power washed it and found it was only the pan gasket leaking. They replaced the gasket and stopped the leak. The transmission is working as it should with no leaks for $ 200 and change. They will rebuild transmissions, which the " transmission shop " in Hutchinson area did not offer. I recommend this business.

I had explored a $650 rebuilt? transmission from a guy on social media working out of his rental house but wondered what corners had been cut to do it at that price also had problems even meeting up with the guy. I took the truck to another transmission shop they replaced the A and B shift solenoids fluid and filter this solved the codes but the transmission would not move the truck in 3rd or overdrive. The only option I was given by the shop was to buy a re-manufactured transmission, pay the shop to remove mine and install the re-manufactured one.I had heard about Nightingale from a friend who has heard good things about the company. I had a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 that I had bought only for a motor and transmission to swap in to a second generation Firebird Trans AM. The truck had been poorly maintained and one might even say severely abused. I originally approached Nightingale just to fix what was broken in my transmission not a full rebuild but after meeting Craig seeing their shop (though it could not be a trans shop because their waiting area looks nice, like a bank lobby) and really thinking about it, I decided to have them do the full rebuild, they warranty their work and they included a shift kit. They do all the work in house and from what I could see have all the specialized equipment to do the job correctly. I can say so far I have been impressed and happy with the work they have done, the value, and the honest way I was treated. Since I own classic cars I will be taking my transmission work here again.Service: Transmission

I have a 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid. My transmission was going out. I only had a few options. I took my hybrid to Nightingale s to see what options they could present. Seth was upfront with me and explained the entire process of rebuilding my transmission, buying a new transmission or remand. I opted to have them rebuild my transmission despite them having limited experience with hybrid transmission repairs. He remained in great communication during the entire process. My car is working great now and they back up their work with a 3year/50k warranty. I d definitely recommend using them, and I will in the future for my car repairs.Service: Transmission

I can t say enough good things about Nightengale Transmission. My sons transmission went out on his 96 Accord. They diagnosed it on Monday. Had the car back by noon Friday of the same week with a new transmission. Seth was very helpful, informative and professional. They even replaced a broken motor mount that we didn t know was bad. I highly recommend them for any transmission work. Seth said they also do other mechanical repairs. Thank you to Seth and all the hands that worked on my sons car.Service: Transmission

On a recent trip my wife and I made to visit friends and family in Lindsborg, the six-speed transmission unexpectedly went out on our 2019 Chevy Tahoe. I contacted Seth at Nightingale Transmission and he was more than helpful and accommodating. We brought the Tahoe in for repair early on a Monday and had it back, completely rebuilt, on Wednesday morning of the same week. What s most impressive to me is the level of communication, professionalism, workmanship, and customer service Seth and his team at Nightingale demonstrated throughout the entire process. Took my son transmission in for a total rebuild. Got it back we installed the transmission drove it about a week and the servo blew out the side of the case. Called nightgale transmission and told them what happened. They said they would come pick it up and check it out. They call us back and said they didn't get the snap ring installed correctly. They had to replace the case. They took care of the repair at no cost to me. There customer service is excellent. I would recommend this company.Service: Transmission

Ryan had a cool solution to fix my shift indicator. Turned out he could fix it without needing to get a new part. Saved me over $68 (w/tax) for the part at the dealership. I paid a reasonable charge for the labor, and was in and out of the shop in about 20 minutes. Highly recommended!

Have had several opportunities over the years to receive service from Nightingale Transmissions and the highest quality of satisfaction has been experienced each time. A place I'd highly recommend. Took my old Chrysler there to fix a serious transmission leak and they did great work in a timely manner! Will definitely be going again if/when I need more work done.

After taking my Ranger to 2 different transmission shops in two different cities, and having both shops read the computer, and drive the truck, they both reported that it needed a complete rebuild or replacement. I called Nightingale, and after telling them the diagnosis of the other shops, they told me that the problem could be as simple as a blown gasket, that could be checked before total disassembly of the transmission and at a lot lower cost of repair, I told them that with my luck the transmission was toast, but that would be great. They gave me rough estimates of both senarios, guess what, they fixed the truck for less than 1/5 of cost of rebuild. Can't thank them enough, I almost scraped the truck after the first two shops, glad I took it to Nightingale instead. Thanks again.

Excellent crew, I took my 1977 Ford Ranchero GT up to them because it would not shift into third, they test drove it and it shifted fine, so we don't know why it wasn't shifting. everything works now, I had taken the vehicle apart to fix it and destroyed the transmission mount, and then bought another mount for it and they installed it for me for gratis. I would highly recommend this shop because these people are honest, friendly, considerate, and knowledgeable. Thank you Nightengale. You are excellent 5 stars!

I'm a poor college student and couldn't afford a total rebuild of my transmission so I found a place on craigslist that you can swap out a transmission with them for about 500 bucks. Well, I put the first one in and it didn't shift. So I went ahead and called Nightingale to test and take it out if needed because after the first time I was done with it. After getting another one on warranty They put it in and again it wasn't shifting right. So Nightingale tested it and found out the issues and fixed it without me having to have it rebuilt. They worked really hard to make the best out of my bad situation I put myself in. They diagnosed and fixed the issues as fast as possible and correctly. So moral of the story is go to them first to have your transmission diagnosed and/ or rebuilt. They do it correctly and quickly. Also stay away from Quality Transmission out of Tulsa.

Transmission went out just after leaving Wichita on my way back to Utah, Nightingale found me in there drive as they opened in the morning. They worked on my truck until 10:00 PM that night and got me back on the road, GREAT JOB !!
