Kansas Rocks is a very nice off-road park that far exceeded my expectations. The people working there were very nice, they have a nice little store, and the trails were very good. There are bathrooms that are well kept, and it looked like there were showers as well. I highly recommend this place. I was running a XJ on 33's and got around pretty good, but I did avoid the hard trails. Someone in our group did flop their rig over on the roof, so there are challenges here.

Had a great time, the hard trails were extra hard due to the rain. Can't wait to make a trip back when the weather is more cooperative!

Good park. Now has two Jeep Badge of Honor Trails. Good mixture of Jeep and Buggy trails. The air system is great. Adequate parking for trailers and those that drive to and from the park.

We went to run the new BOH trail, Rattlesnake Alley, it rained the night before so the greens felt like blues, the blues like blacks, and the blacks a hard pass lolEveryone loved the place and had a great time, we can t wait to go back!

Great place to wheel and have off-road adventures the volunteer staff is second to none. There is a good variety of trails and the proximity to KC makes it a must stop for anyone in the area. They have camping and RV capacity and capabilities. Also their annual park pass is a great value. Frostbite 2023!! Maiden voyage of MONEPT 2.0 was a success!!!

Wish some of the trails were a tiny bit wider....couldn't fit JKU thru one part without rubbing even with flat fenders and mirrors pulled in. Would be nice to have option to take full size trucks out too but not worth all the paint scrapes. And wish it was closer to KC. But great staff, nice picnic and pavilion area, decent bathrooms, and plenty of trails for every skill level. Lots of memories for $20 a day. Pics don't do it justice. -2015 JKU Lil' Ms. Behavin' 2.5 lift with 35s

I took the Off-Roading 101 class in April 2023. I would highly recommend this class to any beginner. There was a 3+ hour class on topics such as technique, types of vehicles, how to set up your vehicle for off-roading, recovery, etiquette, advocacy, and more. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the park and off-roading. We drove the trails for about 3 hours, which was unfortunately a little short because of the rainy weather. My group leader, Mike, was patient and helpful with my lack of driving skills. We stayed on mostly green trails, but did do one blue trail. There are trails in the park that would challenge 99% of off-roaders. I would have appreciated some time spent on learning how to spot for other drivers, but to be fair, usually it was me getting hung up and delaying the rest of the group. This class is an absolute bargain at $65, and to be honest, they should probably charge more.

We were invited to the Frostbite 2022 at Kansas Rocks. First, the morning temperatures were 14. It did warm up some, but not much. 1000's of people showed up. We prepaid for the event, which included a t-shirt, raffle ticket and lunch for one. You can get a map at this time if you need one, which we did. It was an extra charge for another person. Once our group arrived, we all took off together. It was very crowed, extremely muddy, and very chilly. The trails are very well marked. I followed where we were going on the map. The black trails that are expert, were really difficult. Only experienced riders should take these. After several hours of trails, traffic jams, and rescuing people, we needed to head back because lunch was at 3. Apparently, I was the only one who got a map. Since I was following the trails, I was elected to get us back to camp. Piece of cake. Luckily, I can read a map. We cannot wait to return to Kansas Rocks. Hopefully it won't be as busy, then we can really take our time exploring all trails.

Great place, I'd say some of the trails need to have their values readjusted. Some greens are blues now etc...Also, apparently I was the talk of a town for a bit as I drove my stock trail boss through some of the paths. I drove one of the hills that was nothing but loose rocks with a hard lip at the top. I forget the name of the hill.I drove straight up and got over with no issues. All about that wheel placement and angles. The funniest moment was when I was going back down and I saw a guy and his family come up the hill and then they become confused as to how I got up here. They were pretty much just staring at me. It was great.I smiled and drove back down, one of the kids runs to the edge as I'm driving down and I hear them yell "yeah, he made it." Lol.The only thing that really stopped me from doing more was the width of my truck. All in all, the staff was friendly. Good camping spot, too.Edit: included some pics of my friends Side by side that we brought.

I love this place. The guys that work at the office are friendly and willing to help with whatever you may need. I really enjoy taking newbies out and exploring the trails. Great facility for family fun. Do yourself a favor and buy the GPS enabled map, it's the best and easiest way to find your way around the park.

KS Rocks is one of the best parks in the area. It's still a long drive from KC, but they have really nice facilities, map and trail markings, and great trails!

Went to Kansas Rocks for the first time for the 17th Annual Kansas Krawl. We had a blast and everyone is so nice and helpful! The park is well maintained and clean. The bathrooms were very clean. We look forward to camping and many more visits in the future. Thanks to all the volunteers who keep this place top notch!

This is the closest off road park to the Kansas City metro area. Basically an hour drive from the southern side. Lots of variety of trails and they are well maintained. We did the 101 course, I certainly learned some things, but a lot of review and clarification for some. Will definitely be headed back with the kids soon.

We were just out driving around & decided to pop in & check it out. We didn't rock climb but we were really impressed!!! The owners came out & greeted us. They're were very friendly & educated us on the place. They don't have just rock climbing. There are RV hook ups, camping areas, a picnic area, a playground, a pavilion & a few hiking trails. I love their rule of NO ALCOHOL ALLOWED. It's a good wholesome family place. We will definitely be going back for some fun & making memories.

Very muddy today. Nice facilities. Although alittle costly for a 1 day trail outing. Not sure why it needs to be so high. Had a good time tho!

Was muddy when I went, not a good time to go, you pick a line but it's so slick you slide off track, will definitely go back when it's dry

First time at Kansas Rocks. Trails are awesome, staff is friendly and seriously the cleanest pit toilet restroom I've ever been in.The day we went the weather was about 50 degrees and it was not very busy. The trails are marked well and the map was accurate. We were in a RZR XP 1000 and were able to navigate the beginner and some intermediate trails without issues.Definitely a day's worth of riding. We will be back!
