The service advisor that checked me in could not tell me the price of some of the services I was interested in above what my car was there for. The mechanic that was working on my car was pulled off to do another job therefore he didn't finish the day I dropped it off. I as able to cover getting a ride. The advisor that called me didn't have much information for me and the cost they quoted me was not correct.The mechanic did a wonderful job! I will come back just because of the exceptional work they do time and time again!

To be clear, the tech did a fantastic job on the oil change. He even apologized for the length of time it took for the work to be completed. I would rate him and the service greater in the bay 10/10. I think the issue is he was the ONLY tech doing oil changes. I sat with other customers who stated they were there an hour before me and only needed an oil change. I was there for about 2 hours and felt this to be an unreasonable amount of time for an oil change and 4 tire rotation. The staff appeared tired, they were extremely busy, and in some cases overwhelmed. I'd say hire more people, or give for time for service to be completed. Several people I waited with voiced to me they would not be back because of the wait time.Updated 10-7-19: The service manager did reach out to me to apologize which was nice. He stated it was an unusually busy day, and assured me that the wait times are not normally that long. Moral of the story, they do read their feedback.

Started off as a long wait for what should have been a quick fix I do have to give credit though where credit is due once they figured out what the issue was they took responsibility fix the problem and they quick with the repairs. They even noted a recall that I was not aware of and took care of that so while I could not give them five stars I still have to rate them high

The only negative issue is that no one knew how to help me use my rewards points to pay for the oil and filter change. They tried but it was taking too long so I just paid out of pocket. I was told to have the rewards coupon ready before the oil change which would save time. Other than that they did a good job. Thanks

The service that I received at Murdoch is phenomenal. The people in the service department are totally awesome, and very caring. They are working as hard as they can to resolve the issue with my car. They have a lifetime customer with me and I would definitely recommend them to all my friends.

Horrible Customer service .. Went in on the 8th of October 2015 to buy a car I've been looking at. I'm a soldier and I'm young so they assumed I was a dummy and didn't know anything and tried to make a sale on me. I went to go pick up my wife came back and he had already did the paperwork for me without coming to an agreement or negotiating. Then put 2 hidden fees I didn't ask for in the sales price which was 8100. Put extended warranty in there for "free" when it clearly says 1795 for the warranty and through gap insurance on the deal when I never asked for it. Duane Maddy is a piece of sh** salesman he will make the sale and treat you like trash after you buy. Don is a crook. The finance manager was nice though and so are the service consultants. Anyway the car I bought had problems that didn't want to fix from the beginning, but I took my car there on Monday for them to fix a missing washer sprayer and flush transmission. It's taken all week for that. I called today (Saturday) and they told me the technician is not going to be in today try back Monday. They gave me a loaner car but it's nothing like having your own car. They have nice vehicles but watch the paperwork closely.

I waited over 2 hours for an oil change. When I walked outside my car was just sitting there all finished When the car is done, I should ve been notified. Overall great service, just need to work on time management especially those waiting for their service to be complete.

Took my truck in for oil change and Service engine soon message. Was told O2 sensor. Quoted $250.00. Now I know this is high but I am willing to suport local dealer..Bill for oil change $100.00. Told $50.0 was for sensor diagnosis. Still waiting for ordered part. Looks like my last visit. Sad, it's getting time for another vehicle .Up date: Service manager followed up. Notified part was in, installed for agreed price.

I called to make an appointment for an oil change. They told me just to come in. So I did. I waited for two hours before going to inquire about my car. It hadn't made it to the back yet and there were four cars back there already (and from what I heard there was also only one (new) guy working). I asked to have my keys and told them I was leaving. The manager gave me his business card and five free oil changes (which is pretty generous except I'm not from here and won't be back to use them). I was just upset they told me not to make an appointment and did not tell me it would take hours when I told them I would wait for it to be done.

I appreciate that they were able to fit my vehicle in to their schedule without an appointment. Before arriving at the dealership I called and spoke with a service department representative. I indicated that I had an appointment for another day but would like to drop off my vehicle to get the $49.95 oil change/tire rotation special if they could fit it in. When I arrived at the dealership at 8:30 that morning they had no knowledge of that conversation. I again explained why I brought my vehicle in and asked for the $49.95 oil change/tire rotation special. I indicated that I was home for the day and gave them my cell phone number to contact me when the service was complete. I assumed, incorrectly, that since my vehicle had been serviced here before and that I had provided my contact information twice that they would know which number to call. I eventually called them after 5:00 that day and they said it was done. When I arrived to pick it up I waited in line while two employees in the parts/accounting office helped another customer. Neither acknowledged that I was waiting. After 10 minutes I finally went to the service bay. At that point I was running late to pick my wife up from work and was just trying to pay and get going. I was charged $67 for the service but didn't feel I had time to discuss the difference between the expected price ($49.95 + tax) and the price I was charged. I was told that my vehicle was parked "out front" and went to look for it. I wandered around the parking lot for 2-3 minutes and could find it. I went back in and asked where it was parked " out front" I was told it was right around the corner. It was dark so I thought maybe I had some how missed it. I again went out and looked for it. Again, no luck. I went back in and said that I didn't think it was out front. I was told that it should be out front because the keys were at the service desk. Finally the service rep asked another person where the vehicle was, again I was told it should be out front but that they would look in back. I asked if I should wait out front or in the service bay and was told they would bring it around if it was in the back. I again waited for several minutes with no luck. I went back to the service bay to find my car running in the service bay. This was a very disappointing service experience and I will no longer take my vehicles to this dealer ship.

It took so much time to change oil and rotate the tires. Also, When I checked the level of oil after changing it was on a low level that I need to buy an extra oil and add it to the current one which does not make any sense. They suppose to check the level of oil before let it goes. I don't think I will come back again to this dealership.

I am absolutely amazed with how great the customer service is. Steven was very helpful & made sure to keep me informed at all times about my vehicle. I also appreciate the loaner program. I m in the Army so the ability to still get to work without worry was great. Thank you Murdoch!

Every time i have brought vehicle for service there has always been issues. A simple oil change turned into them putting the wrong oil in and my engine burning and running off this oil, turning the key off it would still run. This most recent service they removed a sensor to get to the one they where suppose to replace and broke it. I was stuck paying for a new senor they were not even suppose to touch. Everything was covered under warranty, except for the unrelated sensor they broke while removing it.

I have purchased and leased numerous Cadillacs and other family member have purchased other vehicles. I have had numerous encounters with Murdock for maintenance on vehicles. Only one time was there an issue and it was resolved appropriately and very quickly. I have and will continue to recommend Murdock to family and friends.

I desperately needed to have my oil changed and they worked me in on that same day. My service agent was very professional & friendly and the team got me back on the road in a reasonable amount of time.

Demi and the entire team were absolutely fantastic. I really felt like they wanted my business and they went to great lengths to make sure that I was totally satisfied with my buying experience! I highly recommend this dealership to anyone in the market for a vehicle in the greater Manhattan, KS area.

Traveling out of town and noticed a new rattle in wheel. Murdock team fixed wheel bearing in under 2 hours.Very pleasant and helpful. Appreciated shuttle service and prompt help. Great service.

Went to the auto repair shop department and the manager was super rude. I don't know if it's my race (African American)or he just unhappy with his life. If your black don't go especially a black woman! They will overcharge you for sure!!! Most uncomfortable feeling in my life!!! Never ever going there again!!!

We went to all the dealerships in Manhattan Kansas but most of them did not have what we were looking for, our a great sales staff. When we went to Murdock, Egi came outside before we parked and asked how we were doing and offered her assistance right away. She was very personable and was exceptionally knowledgeable. We examined several cars and after each car we looked at Egi gleaned the features we liked and showed us a few more cars that would be suitable for us. We wanted to save money and Egi informed us about leasing a vehicle. (We tend to be excessively skeptical at dealerships and was not convinced that leasing was a good option for us). However, Egi explained how leasing will save us money, help our credit, and give us more car for our money. We agreed to look at a brand new, 2018 Chevy Equinox, and we loved everything about it. We were sold after we saw the car, although be as that may, we still had to think about our options.Do we really need a brand new car? Is leasing worth it? Do we want to make payments on it for the next 3 years? These we all things we had to consider. When we went back to the dealership we brought up some of these concerns with Egi. She was able to convince us, beyond a reasonable doubt, that leasing was the best option for us. We agreed, and signed the paperwork. Now we are cursing in style in our brand new Chevy Equinox.It's always nice to meet people who are genuinely concerned about our desires and are patient enough to work with us to find exactly what we need. Doing business with Egi was more than just a car sale. We looked forward to going back to the dealership everyday because we knew we would have an enjoyable experience. Although we committed to spending thousands of dollars on our new car for the next three years, it is all worth it when we know that we are driving what we love, and don't feel swindled into getting something we don't.Thank you for being awesome Egi!-Sharice & Marlin

Your service department was vacant when I first arrived, lost my paperwork, had no idea what was going on, couldn't find my keys, offered zero apology for the complete incompetence. This is not the first time I have been a customer with Murdocks in Manhattan however it will be the last time. I will never return to your business again.
