My daughter was having some shifting issues in her 95 Mercedes E320. We made an appointment and within a couple hours they had looked at the issue, but couldn t reproduce it. They confirmed the bushings were good and test drove it several more times but no issue. When I called to pay for diagnosing they said no charge. My daughter just made the drive home for Easter and zero issues. As a parent I m grateful for honest mechanics I can send my daughter s car to. Thank you.

Highly recommend Extra Miles extremely professional, kind, honest, and good service.I had to bring in my BMW unexpectedly (2 hours immediately after an engine service near Kansas City) during a long distance road trip. Either the owner or the manager (I am sorry I forgot to ask his name) there immediately helped me and fix the issue right away. Thank you so much and happy new year!

I took my Audi for service on 28 November 2023, and I absolutely am so appreciative of the honesty, professionalism, care and customer service that I received! They are a certified foreign automotive shop! Mr. Joe, is awesome and I love that he has his four legged buddy there also!

Could not thank Joe enough for assisting with looking over my Volvo S60 after I bought it in worse condition than the dealership displayed. It will have to go to the Volvo dealership in KC for more specialized engine repair, but was very thorough in explaining their findings with pictures and recommendations.

Brought a VW Jetta TDI in to have it checked out, and when they found that the issue was something they couldn't fix, they were upfront and even pointed me in the direction of another shop that would have a better chance at fixing it, all without wanting to charge me a cent.

I had a 2012 VW that wouldn't start. I had Extra Mile Imports check it out, and it's sad to say, but my engine went bad. Joe was very considerate in regard to my situation and so helpful in advising me on the next possible options regarding new cars or trading in. He didn't rush me into finding a tow company to remove the car from the lot either when I was still trying to process the news. Thought it was time for brakes (62,000 miles) brought it in and then they called said didn t need brakes, maybe in another 12/15 thousand miles..refreshing to find a mechanic that says I don t need something. Will be my go to shop now

They Did One Amazing Job On My 2003 Z4 M Series. I Thought That My Radiator Fan Was The Problem. But They Located Little Shortages In My Spark Plugs and Corals. And They Did An Amazing Quick Job Repair. I Had Thought My Car Had Drove To The Best Of Its Ability. But After They Repaired It And Made It Run 100% PERCENT To Its Abilty. I Swear I Couldn't Have Asked For a Better Repair Then They Provided For Me. You Have An Import Car. Extra Mile Imports Is The Place For The Repair. Best mechanic in town! Dave had 5 stars on car talk. Front desk guy as competent and nice. They really go the extra mile fir you! I came in in the nick of closing time with a crazy flickering dasboard after the car was on and off acting weird. My dealership blew me off. Turns out my alternator had died. I had a weird increasing noise turning, my dealership changed an expensive sway bar without improving anything. Dave correctly diagnosed axle needed changing, changed it, and all is well. Best. Mechanic. In. Town. Nicest people too.

The best place to go for any foreign vehicles. You make your appointment and in my case were able to get my car back to me pretty fast. I picked up my car the day after I dropped it off. I had to get my abs sensors replaced. They didn t charge alot and they communicated about prices and what was wrong prior to performing the work. Their also very friendly and even allow you to drop off your vehicle outside of business hours. Thank you soo much. You will get my business anytime.

I have brought two vehicles in for damage to wires done by rats. Extra Mile Imports has done a fantastic job at a low cost. I highly recommend them because they are honest and dependable. Not to mention that they have wonderful customer service and treat you with respect.6/7/22 - I want to add to my review that I have been bringing my vehicles into Extra Mile Imports now for a few years and I have been very pleased with their work, how fair they are and how they treat their customers. They go above and beyond. I feel like I get the red carpet treatment whenever I bring my car in. Extra Mile imports is exceptional!

this place is fantastic! i have only lived in Manhattan about a year but it only takes one honest repair job to develop loyalty! they not only took care of my Volvo quickly but also were willing to give me a check before going on a long trip with my kids! if you are looking for mechanics with integrity look no further!!!

After my plans to purchase a new vehicle changed, I decided I would stick with my Volkswagen Jetta and take it with me on a 16 hour drive, however there was an issue that made me nervous and every car place that I called either didn t work on foreign cars or they didn t have the equipment to check. I was referred to Extra Mile Imports and they were willing to help me out and squeeze me into the schedule on a very short notice. They were able to find the problem and fix it within a timely manner. This place was one of the most professional places I have been to in a while and I would 100% recommend this to anyone that is having car troubles.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Briggs auto in Topeka had my husband's car for over a week and "they couldn't find anything wrong with it", then told us they would need it for another week or so, and it would be around $500 for them to pull everything apart and look deeper to find the issue. So $500 up front BEFORE the part(s) and fixing the problem! We left. Someone told me about Extra Mile and how amazing they are. At this point my husband is deployed. I schedule a day to bring the car by and they called me within 2 hours of looking at the car! They told me what was wrong with it, and even later showed me the part and how badly broken apart it was! They were so nice and helpful. I really had no idea what was really going on with the car or how to explain it like my husband (lol), but they figured it out within the same day! They saved us so much money by not doing service with Briggs in Topeka. I highly recommend them! If you live outside of Manhattan I say it's worth the drive (or tow) to get your vehicle there!

Sprinter chassis 3500 with Mercedes Benz engine, engine code P0113 indicating IAT sensor. . They removed and cleaned th sensor and put back in and code no longer appeared. Owner did not want to charge us , gave a tip and want to thank Joe and his team

The engine light on my Mercedes came on about a week after I had gotten a major service done at the dealership in KC. Didn't have time to go to KC and someone told me about Extra Mile. I was in for a very pleasant experience here - very courteous staff, they perfumed the diagnostics and told me it was just a setting on the computer and no problems with the car and re-set the light. Did not charge anything. Very honest and competent place, strongly recommend. In fact will always take my MB here instead of driving 4 hours back and forth to KC.

I have a 1991 Audi 100. Having a 25 year old car is both awesome and difficult. Whenever I have an issue I take my baby straight to Doug. They do great work and are always very nice. I don't know very much about cars, but they never treat me poorly because of it. They work hard to find needed parts and get your car back to you in as quick a time as possible. I recommend them to anyone and everyone with an import car.

The people at Extra Mile Imports truly go the extra mile to help you. We were on a cross-country trip with our Sprinter Van, which has a diesel Mercedes engine, when we had a problem accelerating and going uphill. We called to tell Extra Mile we were coming in. They diagnosed the problem immediately and ordered parts from Kansas City, which came in the next day. They fixed the vehicle the same day the parts came in. We then drove the van 1,400 miles back to New Jersey with no problems. The price was reasonable too. I highly recommend them.

Joe and the entire crew at Extra Mile Import are wonderful to work with. Extremely professional, courteous, prompt, and always willing to go that extra bit to help you out and take care of your ride. The only shop in Manhattan I trust to work on my European cars!

For years these excellent mechanics were located very near my home, and lucky me, I could always count on them to give me the advice I needed, and educate me about my car, as well as keep it running in good condition. The city took their location to build the Discovery Center a few years ago, and I started taking my accord to a different place, for convenience. Well, it is not convenient when the people you take your car to cannot do a competent job of keeping it running. I miss Dave and Doug's great service and kind advice. I intend on going the Extra Mile to be their customer again. Hope they'll have me!

I will not take my BMW anywhere else! They re one of the only places in Manhattan to work on European cars, and they do a fantastic job. Great and friendly staff, and the prices are very reasonable. I came here for my BMW 3-series because of good reviews I had read, and I wasn't disappointed. Both men I talked to were knowledgeable, honest, and personable. They found the part I needed for cheap, fixed everything up, and let me be on my way. There was something they couldn't take care of, and they gave me a couple references to places that could. Very satisfied with their customer service, expertise, and candy selection.

I found out about Extra Mile Imports after talking with the local Holms Chevrolet lead mechanic here in Abilene. I had called him to ask if they worked on Volvo's and was informed no, but to check out Extra Mile Imports in Manhattan, turned out to be excellent advice.When I found their website, I called Dave and asked about getting a timing belt/water pump change on my 2007 Volvo. Dave was very nice and gave me a quote that also included the belt tension-er. I was impressed with his quote and we set up a date to take it in, I asked him about how long it would take and he informed me probably about a day.I wanted to know as I live in Abilene and would need to rent a car over there as I didn't have a back-up vehicle. I also understood the "probably about a day"part as I have worked as a mechanic on many things for over 50 years and I know how things can go. My worries were groundless as Dave had the car done in half the time and was right on the money on his quote! He also saved me money on rental car fees.He has definitely earned my trust and business, I strongly recommend that you check Extra Mile Imports, they are impressive!

We had guests come to town from Texas and their VW CC limped into town. Made a call to EMI and they said to bring it by. They had the part in stock and changed it while we waited. 15 minutes later we were on our way. Very honest, nice and fair price. Highly recommend Extra Mile Imports.

My experience with Extra Mile Imports was short but amazing. Took in my subaru for a "problem" but the guys there were honest and said nothing had to be done! Extra Mile Imports helps battle the controversy with unreliable auto shops and I will definitely continue to do business with them.

Yet another great visit to the best shop for my VW, hands down! I've never been to any auto repair shop that made me feel completely trust that they would always do top notch work on my baby. My 2014 VW gets every service done there, and my turbo VW is headed there next for the great guys, Jerry and Dave, to go through my car completely to see what repairs are needed and I don't doubt what their findings will be. It will be looked at there and no matter what,work is needed it will be repaired by them too.BIG plus Ladies who drive an import they love!! These guys are so great they don't treat anyone like they can't love a car or know something about it. How refreshing.Go to Extra Mile.....you won't regret it!!

I've taken my 1984 Volvo there twice over the last two years and have been very impressed. The staff are not snobbish (like the Volvo dealer I went to last year) and have dealt very honestly, not trying to do more than was necessary, and taking the time to explain to me as much as I needed to know. Repairs cost lest than I expected, too. Exceeded my expectations all around. I'm very pleased with this business and recommend it to anyone.

Would definitely go back to this service center when I need to for my VW Passat. I had a minor issue and when we called ahead, they quickly looked into their inventory if they had what I needed in stock. Found out they didn't so the gentleman called their warehouse and said it would be delivered within 20 minutes. Once I got there, I waited for a few minutes when a gentleman asked what I needed help with. Walked outside, assessed the issue, went back to the shop, fixed it and that didn't take more than 5 minutes. As I was ready to get back inside to pay the fee, he said, "welcome to Kansas, come back when you have a major issue!" Didn't expect it and it was a nice gesture. Great first impression and definitely will go back, for sure.Most important of course is the customer service received from the phone call to the actual service. It went much, much quicker than I anticipated.I would like to note that the place has a comfortable waiting area with a TV, plenty of magazines and treats. If I had to wait a while, I wouldn't have minded hanging out there.Thank you, Extra Mile!
