Fantastic local business that does quality and efficient work. Built So-Well is a stalwart supporter of Green Apple Bikes, Manhattan's free bike-share program. Whether welding and repairing our bike racks or upgrading and improving our volunteer trailers for hauling more bikes, Built So-Well has been exceedingly generous with their time, materials, and work. Can't recommend Scott and Debbie enough.

Scott and his crew are fantastic, courteous, and honest. He got the TIG weld project done in 2 days and it's exactly what I needed! Thank you Scott for getting me in on such short notice, and helping me out before my trip! My horses and washer and dryer can ride safe now over 1400 miles because of you guys!

I can't comment on quality of work which is why I'll give 2 instead of 1 stars. I had someone come out to look at the potential job and was told they'd get a quote back to me. I have had to follow up 5 times and each time gave my email again and have yet to get a quote over a month later. Needless to say I've officially given up.

I had a trailer that i needed re-wired. I had just purchased it and was working out of state at the time so i asked them how big of a deal it would be to do a complete rewire. They said it shouldnt be a big deal and would only take a week or so because they had a couple people scheduled before me. Makes sense. We discussed what i wanted done, which was 100%new wiring. Thats a new plug, new junction box, new brake disconnect, all new wires wrapped in split lume. I supplied all materials except the wire itself. .. I was quoted 250 for the job and was told they would call when it was done.3 weeks go by and i hear nothing so i called them. They had ran into an issue and instead of finish it. They pushed it to the side and would be beginning work again on it shortly and they asked if they could run conduit instead to keep the wires safe. I was told it would be about another 100. Im good with that.3 more weeks go by. Nothing I call againThey still have not finished it. Claimed they think something is wrong with the ground. All the wires are new. They installed them. There shouldnt be a grounding issue unless it is caused by them. But whatever.Fast forward another few weeks of rinse and repeat. Same conversations.I finally get told that the trailer would be finished that friday. So my father goes to pick it up because i am out of state. The final bill was over 700$. Fine. Parked the trailer at the house.Went to check the lights on it 2 weeks after we got it back before we put the deck on.Half the lights on the trailer are dead when you turn on headlights. And they did not install any of the lume. There are entire sections of wiring that are unprotected. They had the trailer for almost 3 months to do rewire job with no deck on the trailer. They consistently put my job on the backburner. And upon completion did shotty work.Normally i would request they finish the job i paid for. But i dont want to wait another 3 months for a job that should have only taken 4 hours.I do not recommend this company

A week before building a deck, I decided to get custom built heavy duty post bases. My posts are 20 ft tall. Regular post bases sold in lumber yards do not have the mechanism to help keep the posts up straight. I talked to Scott and showed him a light sample to help explain what I wanted. Scott was really nice and proficient in coming up with the design details/specifications. He also introduced me powder coating, which is done by a different shop. Scott contacted the powder coating shop for me while I was in his shop. Within one week, the post bases were beautifully done except for the insert that was thinner than originally planned. Scott honestly told me that they had trouble to bend the thicker material. My deck builder said that the post bases were so well done that the design and workmanship should be patented and sell them in market. I know from the first meeting with Scott that he and his screws are honest people with warm heart. They are willing to help.

As a fraternity advisor at Pi Kappa Phi, our basketball pole was snapped by dunkers. I needed a solid pole to withstand friendly but aggressive athletic brothers. Built So Well installed a new basketball pole that truly is dunk proof. It is great to see the students with a full court again. Built So Well was wonderful to work with. A++ job. I highly recommend them.

I've went to them for some very odd things needing fabricated over the years and they never fail to impress me with their skills and insanely reasonable prices for what I ask. I highly recommend them! Awesome business and we are lucky to have them here in Manhattan!

THIS IS AN HONEST AND UNBIASED REVIEW.So I gave these guys a very basic project to weld 4 pieces together. They initially quoted me $70 and told me it would take two days. I went to pick it up in 2 days and it wasnt ready. 2 days later I went back to pick it up and the measurments were way off. So in another couple days I finally got my frame that was half-assed on the grinding job, even though the welds looked good, because they had to redo it, but they told me it would now be $180 because one of their guys messed it up! What!?!? They argued with me for a while about it and were anything but professional. Honestly the weld quality was pretty good so I wanted to give them 2 stars instead of 1 but their professionalism, attitude, work ethic and overall customer service was horrible. I truly believe they are there just to rip people off. I would highly encourage anyone to find another welding shop.

Poor welds, instructions not followed. If you want the very minimum done then maybe they would be ok for you? They at least stuck the pieces together but it looks like a kid stuck them together with wads of bubblegum. Lots of pin holes and warping. Maybe they are ok at building gates and patching old trailers but I will likely never bring another job to them.

Poor customer service. Took a simple repair to them with several days to get it done. Ultimately missed their own deadline and cost me half a days lost time. I won't go to them again.

I have been trying to reach this company for days and have had no luck. Why would someone take their business to a company that has no desire to work with a customer. Very poor company
