I cannot express enough gratitude to the team at KND Auto Mechanic and Transmission! My aunt and uncle were on a road trip from Nebraska to Mexico when their truck suffered an unexpected breakdown due to an oil leakage on Wednesday afternoon.Despite the shop being bustling with customers, the KND Auto team went above and beyond to prioritize my family's emergency. They diagnosed the issue swiftly, pinpointing a faulty intake manifold that needed replacement. Knowing that my aunt and uncle were stranded far from home, they dedicated themselves to getting the truck up and running as soon as possible.What stood out the most was their genuine concern and willingness to help, even in the midst of a busy schedule. They could have easily turned my family away due to their workload, but instead, they extended a helping hand and made my relatives' situation a priority.Not only did KND Auto fix the truck promptly, but they also ensured that it was in excellent condition for the rest of the journey to Mexico. I needed to write this a while back. 12/29/2023The final weekend of 2023 I was headed to New Mexico from Illinois and stopped in Liberal KS on Friday night. Got up early on Saturday morning to leave and ,my truck would not start (turned out to be fuel pump) I contacted KND and they were not planning on opening that weekend due to it being New Years Eve weekend. They told me to go ahead and tow it in, which I did and they spent most of the day on Saturday fixing the truck. We did luck out that NAPA had the only fuel pump in town for my truck.I was extremely impressed after getting the bill. They spent from 10:30 am until after 5 PM (2 guys) working on the truck and the bill was way cheaper than I expected for a holiday that they were going to be closed. I have found a New place just to stop and say hi on my travels back and forth. Really nice people and the customer comes first!!

After visiting my Aunt and Uncle in Phoenix, our car would be due for a routine oil/filter change on the way home. I checked the reviews of KIA dealerships within a 300 mile radius of Witchita and found them all less than trustworthy. Looking into independent shops I discovered many that praised KND for their help while folks were traveling. I used the Google chat feature to ask about an appointment 6 days later on a Saturday, and received quick efficient replies for exactly what we needed. We planned our trip for a stay at the (top notch) Comfort Suites in Liberal, KS.Upon arrival at KND the next morning, we were greeted in our car and directed to a service bay. At this point I took a few minutes to explain that, even though I saw no signs and the crankcase was still full, our dealership at home said that there was an oil pan gasket leak bad enough to lose 2 qts before the last oil change. I also told the mechanic that I had taken our car to a 2nd shop for a brief confirmation of said leaking pan gasket. We had no sooner sat down in the cozy office/lounge area when the mechanic, Aiden, and his helper popped in from the shop to wonder why anyone said there was a serious leak, when the oil was clean and full after 5,000 miles and I hadn't added any oil. I said that I was suspicious of the actions and/or motives of McDonald KIA of Saginaw, MI, after my observations as well. The two went back to work and a short time later Aiden came back in to wait area and showed me photographic evidence that it was in fact, not the oil pan but, the rear main crankshaft seal leaking. He went on to reassure us that, while we should keep an eye on it, it was so minor that it should not worry us; at least for the 1,400-mile trip home.It is totally appropriate that Aiden and the rest of the crew at KND Transmission and Auto Mechanics deserve the reviews speaking of Generosity, Professionalism, Honesty, Mechanical Knowledge, Fairness, Kindness and Efficiency.Thank you, Aiden and KND, for being a Beacon of Light in a world that is often not so bright these days.

I was headed to Chicago last Saturday when my battery discharge light illuminated on my instrument panel. I, thankfully, was able to drive into Liberal, Kansas and happened upon KND Auto Repair. It was 1:30pm on a Saturday but even at that late hour Aiden took a look and found the problem. He went above and beyond to fix my car and was able to get me back on the road so I could arrive by Sunday at my destination.I can t say enough about the service and capabilities of Aiden, Mario, and Amy - good people with great service!Thank you, thank you, thank you Services: Electrical repair, Electrical

Me and my family came from Dallas, Tx & we re having a terrible time and couldn t find anyone to fix our car. Our Jeep overheated and we weren t having much luck the whole day. Once we came to KND he made sure to help us ASAP and get us fixed up immediately , and was very welcoming and nice the entire time. Super grateful for the support, now we re back on the road!!

I had a fuel pump go out on my pickup as I was passing through Liberal. KND was able to find a fuel pump and get it replaced for me in a reasonable amount of time. I can easily say that I had one of the best/trustworthy service here in 15 years. Let me summarize what I mean:1) I got stuck on my way to California due to an engine issue.2) It was around 4:30 pm on a Saturday. While almost all other shops were closed, they gladly helped and got me back on the road in around 2 hours.3) The rate was very reasonable particularly for a Saturday evening fix. Any other place would definitely charge quite more than that. (any other place would possibly ask me to leave the car for 1-2 days)3) They allowed me to interact with the during the fix as I have experience in fixing cars as well.4) Bonus: Great conversation and super friendly people.Thank you very much for your help and service again :) !Best,Services: Electrical repair, Auto engine diagnostic

I needed a last minute thermostat change due to my car overheating they did it no problem right away! I give this business five stars due to how amazing and fast they were! I would definitely recommend!

Trustworthy and friendly mechanic. I was having engine problems while towing my fifth wheel across the country. It was just before closing time and the friendly mechanic agreed to look at my truck. He quickly diagnosed it and helped me to get back on the road.

Called before they opened and was able to get directly in. My car was diagnosed and I was recommended to another business to replace my tires. Because I'm from Indiana on my way to Arizona that was a big deal. KND helped so much and didn't charge me anything! What a lifesaver! Thanks again!!Service: TiresService: Tires

Traveled on highway 54 not far from liberal city my truck broke down (transmission) , a tow truck brought me to this place said this guy knows his stuff ,had to wait till monday morning to talk with him and he was willing and did a great job fixing it , he could have told us no cause he had tons of work , but he decided to help us , great mechanic

My son's 2014 Hyundai Tucson broke down. This place charged me $400 to replace the starter which had nothing to do with the engine issue. Then they wanted to replace the timing belt. At this point it was cheaper for me to drive out and tow the car to Tucson to have the issue PROPERLY diagnosed. The entire engine needs to be replaced. There was nothing wrong with the timing belt. Good news: it's covered under warranty. Nice people, but they propose expensive repairs that only address symptoms but not root causes

My CV joint broke mid cross country road trip and KND wasted no time getting my car up on their lift to help me fix my problem. This business is full of great people who worked tirelessly to get me back on the road in a timely manner. The biggest con artist on the planet. Never ever go here. Stranded in town they spent days throwing parts and my money at the vehicle. Never diagnosed the problem. Had vehicle towed to another shop fixed in five minutes.Spent a thousands of dollars with these con artist. The worst of the worst. AMAZING!! I have never recieved better service that this!!I am driving to a job from Minnesota to California and my check engine light came on. He was able to get me in right away! Extremely reasonable rates. He checked all my fluids and helped me hook up my travel trailer, too. Nice guy, nice family. They are the best

Our car started making a weird noise clunking and clanking noise and every mechanic was booked full for couple days .even knd but he was he took us anyway and found the problem witch turned out to be the tire and he sent us on our way.And he charged us nothing . And we tried to pay him to and he still didn't accept. That's a good dude and I want he's business to flourish Because of his kindness.Service: Steering & suspension repair

I was half way through a ten hour driving day and my temp light came on just as I was leaving town. Checked the web for a place open on Sat and KND popped up. I called and they took me immediately, checked everything out and cleared the error. In less than an hour I was on my way. He even put air in my tires as he noticed a couple were low. They were prompt and professional.Took my car right away. Got right to figuring out what was wrong. Fixedit the same day and even picked me up @ my hotel when it was done. If you don't Speak spanish. Don't letthat deter you. Sometimes you will get a spanish speaking person on the phone. Ask for Charles he'll fix you right up. My car is running great.

Excellent service!! I went to multiple mechanics around the area and not only did they overcharge me they didn t fix my car. Came here and in no time my car was ready. Haven t had a problem since and they charged me way less than other places around town. Highly recommend!!

My car broke down and I called everywhere no one could get me in they where to close to closing but I called this shop and they got me in right away!!! They where so nice and helpful!! He knew right away how to fix it and we where back on the road whithin a hr! The price was very fair as well!!

Was traveling cross country and broke down and they got us in right away even though they were really busy. Fixed our problem In 30min and only charged us $30.
