Shelley is the new manager. She is fantastic. She helped me find the correct heated vest for my husband who was going to go to the Chief s game in weather that was going to be extremely cold. I knew nothing about heated vests and she educated me into buying a Milwaukee heated vest that my husband just loved. Thank you Shelley and Northern Tool for making this Grandma look really smart!!!

Despite description, not the best place for jerk chicken. Staff had no clue what I was asking for. Was told to buy a hammer or get out. Good vibes, though.

Most of the time this store has everything I need. I was looking for 1 inch drill bits for steel and they just changed and do not stock them now. So I ordered them online.

In particularly like Steve, who was a locksmith in his past lifetime. He was very helpful, and looked for people needing help, unlike the big box stores. The manager was very flexible concerning a request I had about a previously purchased hose reel. I will definitely be back again. It is a wonderful toy store, and the elves are very helpful.

This Company is absolute nightmare to work with, I would highly suggest never purchasing anything from them. They will either lose your order or it will be months before you get it.

Northern Tool in Lenexa has been a very good store to shop. The employees are very friendly and helpful. And the store has lots to choose from. And if they don't have it in stock, I can order online and have it shipped to the store at no cost.

I like the stores okay, but I wasted time trying to place an online order for store pickup. I needed several related items quickly and everything was listed as in stock in the store. I added everything I needed to my cart, then went through the checkout procedure. When I didn't get an email verification after two hours, I checked and found the cart still full, nothing ordered. I'm not a novice at this. I tried again. This time I got an email saying that my order is cancelled due to stocking issues. I called. I could get it in two weeks or pay for regular shipping and still wait longer than the 2 hours promised. I cancelled and got everything the next day from Amazon.

I rarely shopped at Northern Tool or the other guy (HF) assuming most was off shore low end stuff. However, over the last couple of years I am spending more time and money at Northern. In most cases, Northern carries higher quality tools and having Milwaukee tools in store is a huge benefit. I recently started trying out some of the Klutch branded tools and with one or two exceptions, have been very pleased with the quality vs cost. Don't get me wrong, you still have to shop wisely on some things. Online ordering to pickup in-store has been great; I use that service the most.

With the understanding that it is stressful to be short staffed I would like to say that is no reason to not only have a completely nasty attitude towards your fellow co-workers but the customers in your store as well. Me and my husband came in for a fuel tank and were told by the cashier in a purple sweater (did not get her name) that they were short staffed and we would have to wait a few minutes for assistance. After waiting for a bit we asked if there was a cart we could use to grab the tank ourselves as we could clearly see a cart behind the desk with a few items on it we were told the carts were outside. The carts provided were not ideal to grab the tank for the size of it. So we ended up carrying it to the register ourselves. Then the gentleman that checked us out tried to offer the cart behind the counter and was snapped at by the girl no that cart is obviously in use it has returns on it! Like it would be such an inconvenience to allow customers to use the cart until they were able to put the returns back at a later time.Ultimately I am giving a 3 star review because we do enjoy shopping at northern tool but a nasty attitude will have me never return to this particular location again.

I had no idea where to take my electric mower to get fixed. My google search led me to northern tool. I called and the people on the phone were friendly and told me bring it down . It was a bit of a drive but I did it. When I dropped it off the service was awesome and throughly explained. What really made this worth while is Ken in parts and service. I have never had such great customer service nor have I had someone go above and beyond like Ken did. This by far was my best experience in 30 years. Ken is a true professional and I will go back to Northern Tool just because of Ken and the rest of the staff.

Staff was very friendly, very knowledgeable and very quick. I would shop there regularly if it was closer to home. I went up there to buy one of the five by 8 wire mesh trailers and grabbed a few other tools I needed. Tools from there are a much higher quality without that high-quality price. I've never had a tool break from this place. The two ladies working the front where are fantastic and have an excellent sense of humor!

When I have needed help locating an item or for more information about an item, the store staff have been helpful and posses knowledge about your items.

Well it was my first time shopping there. I had plenty of time to browse. I felt like a Kidd in a candy store. I was checked on twice to see if I needed any help. I liked that. When I shop I try to buy American made products, this is hard to do. Here it was easy. (In regards to my interest), I had plenty of choices Of quality and or less expensive. Great experience for me. I will go back.

I would like to take this opportunity to recognize one of your employees at the Lenexa store. Lucas was very helpful and courteous with my purchase. I will definitely be a more frequent shopper at your store!

I, purchase a 1/2 long flex head ratchet brand titan close to 50 with a life time warranty. I love it for the year that it lasted. When, I try to return or exchange, they had discontinue the product. They could not issue me a refund nor exchange it for similar product, since I did not had the receipt. So, I found the receipt, and try again to return the product another day. I was told just then they could issue me a refund with a receipt since the product was discontinued. That was not the case, who was in charge on the morning of May 9, around noon., told me they could not do that for me since they had discontinue the product. I have to get a hold of manufacturer/titan products, So he provided me with a peace of paper only with a PO Box mailing address out of a product they had on their shelves. he told me it will be better to get a hold of them trough a web address that he was not even providing me with he insinuated just go online. So I asked for a phone #, then an assistant found one and was provided with a phone #. therefore after all the time waited I finally got help right off after calling but still had to send and pay shipping cost of over $19 dollars and who knows how long is going to take for me to get the ratchet I believe if Northern tools + equipment sell a product that has warranty, they should honor your refund or exchange. what is the point of a store that does not Honor warranty might as well buy products online I am still paying shipping cost + waiting period.

Won t ever visit this store again. Walking in and out nobody greets you. Stood by the impacts looking at them even though I pretty much knew what I wanted nobody ever asked did I need help. So I politely walked out and will never return! If you don t want to work somewhere or if your not a peoples person stay home!!!

Always, ALWAYS easy in, easy out. There's typically no more than a 3:1 customer to staff member ratio, so it's super easy to get questions answered, the staff is consistently knowledgeable and polite, and everyone that works there actually knows where every item in the store lives (vs. Lowes policy of hiring octogenarians that will insist on - glacially - escorting you to the far side of the store, only to "discover" that "someone must have moved [the product]", Home Depot's requirement that to work the floor one must be 19, ignorant, and glued to a phone, and Harbor Freight's insistence on hiring people dumb enough to sell you products from Harbor Freight).

As much as I can I try to pick up tools, supplies, and PPE from the Lenexa store. Most of the time I will pick up any items at the store location after ordering online. But, every once in a while, I have big heavy items shipped for free with my Advantage membership. Saves me shipping costs and a 100 plus mile round trip. It's something to consider taking advantage of.

I work for a company based out of Nebraska and I've always had a great experience when shopping at the Northern Tool in Omaha. This is the first time I've had a bad experience. The male cashier seemed to be in a bad mood and seemed angry to help. He let out a big sigh as I approached to ask him a question. He ignored me at first and looked around to see if anyone else would help me. I asked him if he had a metal tech baker scaffold in stock and then sighed again and proceeded to check on the computer. In the end he told me there was none in stock (even though it says it was in stock online) he didn't even try to help me order one or even show me other options that might've been in stock. I ended up just purchasing some drinks...in the middle of rining me up a customer called and once again he let out a big sigh and proceeded to answer the phone. Seemed very rude the way that he was speaking to the person on the phone. If you need to purchasing anything from the Lenexa Location, I would suggest just ordering an in store pick up so that you don't have to deal with the horrible employees.

Efficient website, easy to navigate, and easy purchase process. I misunderstood something in checkout but I just simply missed something that was there and within less than a minute their chat session took care of it. Took my lumps (on my missing) it, and went on to order it immediately.

Website worked flawlessly. I would shop directly in store if this winch had been in stock; I prefer to support local merchants and their staff than to buy through Amazon. However, your online system made it possible to choose NT over Amazon...

Wow! What an experience! Went in. Bought a $100 item. Took said item home. Item was defective so I returned the item the next day. I asked for the $98 in cash(which always happens in any Home Depot, Lowes, or even Harbor Freight), so that I might go to their OTHER STORE and purchase the item, avoiding a delay in reimbursement to my card. The cashier told me that couldn't happen, and that she didn't even have that much cash in her drawer, that it had to go on my card, which could take a while. What if I had paid cash? Would they have just refused my refund? So, my experience: Northern Tool, sold me junk, didn't have a replacement in stock, issued a refund, but lost my business in the process.

i spent far too much time trying to make the decision to order these tires. asthe axle size is not quite the same size. i called expecting to reach a salesman that was somewhat educated on the tires. she knew nothing. i would suggest a chart simply saying what the tires fit. thanks

Bought a chainsaw when I got it home I couldn t get it started after pulling on it for 2 hours. When I took it in the next day the rude manager tried to start it with no luck then told me I flooded the saw that he had just been pulling on , he would not just return the saw like I wanted because they can t return gas powered equipment. I asked him why I was not informed of that policy and he said it s on the back of the receipt, ( which would require purchasing the saw to get a receipt). He refused to refund the unused saw and said we had to file a warranty claim on the saw that has yet to start. Then notified me if a refund was granted a restocking fee would be applied to the brand new unstarted saw. The manager was rude towards me, rude towards my wife and made a rather uncomfortable situation with a young lady employee that witnessed this. Won t go back here again. Steve the manager should never be in customer service!!!

Decent sized store, comparable to an Ace Hardware in size but not selection. Which can be a good or bad thing. They are very focused on tools and tools only. I came looking for glue and caulking and they only sold super glue or one type of gorilla glue. In the middle of the store is a lot of cheap items such as beer koozies and random small tools.
