Edit: Was 2 stars now 1 starThe shop commented on the below review online requesting I call the shop so they could make things right after they incorrectly hooked up my radiator which caused my car to overheat. Sara answered the phone, I let her know the shop asked me to call in, and then she stated everyone make s mistakes and you chose to leave a bad review online . I do not have trust this shop.I had my car serviced here to replace a cracked radiator. 2 days later a large puddle of coolant was where I parked at work. My car overheated as I drove from work to the shop for them to diagnose it for the second time.I was informed by the shop a that a lower radiator hose was not clamped properly the first time by one of the techs.They fixed the problem when I brought it back in and offered a discount on a future service, but I requested a discount on the initial service performed. I did not feel confident in taking my vehicle back to them as their mistake resulted in my engine overheating and me missing work. Mike, the shop owner, declined to give a discount on the initial service because it is not our policy and mistakes happen. I would not recommend this shop.

Ill spare my time and yours, as the details would require a Novel, and Im seeing a trend in these reviews as is.This place started off seeming legit, and quickly revealed itself to be shady af. Theyre connected to an Advance Autoparts, and I suspect their motivations intertwine rather nicely. All I say is, terrible customer service (meaning the 2 Women in the front) and dishonest business practices.Ive waited 3mths since we received the Car back, and my $300 Battery that "wouldnt hold a charge," and "isnt gonna last" is still holding proper Voltage, and has cranked the rest of Winter to today. As if getting Thousands from the Warranty Holders wasnt enough, you just had to try and stick it to the little guy.Shame on everyone in that Shop, especially the 2 up front.

They did in fact change my oil, and then sent me a bunch of bull about needing new tires because ALL my tires had 4/32 tread, which is interesting because I had the front two replaced less than a year ago with brand new ones from Big O. And the back 2 are only 3 years old. So how would they all have the exact same tread, much less all need to be replaced? I'm not exactly a roadster in my little subcompact car. I don't like scammers, and I don't respect businesses that try to take advantage of people. They also sent out coupons quoting $50 or so for a synthetic oil change and then at check out added on an additional labor charge, so ultimately no change. I would steer clear.

Paid over 3k for my wiring to be replaced the best mechanic cut peices of the wires spliced them together then just put tape over them after I already paid for new wires. Avoid if possible . Workers were very unprofessional while the manager stood by and watched

I wish I could give this repair shop a 0 star review. Do not give this repair shop your business. They tried to charge my friend $1,350 for a simple Alternator and Battery change. Then decided after he refused to have repair done they told him to use a website to pay $150.00 DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR THERE!!!

I had an appointment scheduled, waited and finally drove my car to the shop early for my appointment because it s the only day I could get it done. When I showed up, they were full and set they wouldn t have time. What s the point of scheduling an appointment? Also, couldn t you have called me hours ago and let me know you wouldn t be able to fit me in so that I could have the service done elsewhere? Very frustrating.

I have a regular mechanic in Overland Park that I love but I wanted to use the $19.99 coupon for an oil change (that ultimately doesn't include all of the other services like fluid top off, tire pressure check, tire rotation etc. so you should probably pay more for the full service). The store manager was really nice and knowledgeable about cars. My experience was great until the end of the service - I was told that they were unable to remove the lugnuts for the Free Tire Rotation that comes with the $42 service I paid for. I have had my car maintenanced at least three times in the last few months (it's a hand me down and I want it to last for me) and never has anyone had the same issue with my tires. My back two tires are almost brand new. I am concerned as there wasn't much of an explanation - I would have expected another complimentary service OR be invited back for the free tire rotation that was apart of what I paid for and did not get. I feel a bit cheated. That part is disappointing, so I would recommend going elsewhere if you want more than the $19.99 basic oil change. See pictures below of my perfectly fine tires.

Have always trusted these guys for years but my last oil change/tire rotation they didn't bother to check the air in my tires. Rolled in with 37psi on all four and a day later I was down over 10psi. Someone clearly didn't adhere to their inspection checklist before releasing the car back to me.

I wish I could give them 100 stars! From the beginning phone contact I knew this was the place for me. Both people I spoke with (Kelsey and Brad) were very kind and extremely helpful.. gave me their honest advice and thoughts and were very diligent about saving me money while they had my car and they were instrumental in helping me deal with catalytic converter issues. I couldn't of asked for better hands to deal with my car troubles. They explain every detail of issues so I could understand what was going on and they have the best prices around starting at the diagnoses fee.. I will never go anywhere else!!Service: Auto exhaust system repair

Not a good experience. On my way home from work at about 6 PM, or I noticed that my brakes started grinding. Being so late in the day I didn t figure any garage would be open so I decided to wait until the next morning, to try to get my truck in the shop. So Tuesday morning I start making phone calls. Every place I called was at least one week out. Obviously I can t drive a week with my brakes grinding so I figured I was going to half to do it myself which I ve done many times before. It s just hard on my back now. Eventually, however, I called Meineke, who was able to get me in within the hour! (I soon found out why they weren t as busy) it all started as soon as I walked in the door. The redhead at the front counter started asking me for my information to enter into the computer which is normal. At some point she asked for my email to which I replied that I didn t have one. She then stopped and stared at me for a few seconds like she was confused. Then she said that she has to have one to continue the process. I then told her that I was not going to give her one. Because I don t want the junk mail. She proceeded to explain how I can turn the preferences off to regulate what emails I can get him. I then told her I don t want to have to do that. Which is why I m not giving you an email. She then said that she had to have an email to proceed. So I said, are you refusing to do my brakes if I don t give you an email? She said no, and began aggressively typing and clicking away on the computer I m assuming to bypass whatever she was in. At that point she asked for the keys and they got started on my truck. About 15 to 20 minutes later, she comes back to me with a quote to replace my rotors. She tried to explain that they were ground down too far on the inside and had to be replaced. Mind you, my rotors were replaced a year ago. They were affectively brand new. So I asked to see them. When I went into the garage and looked at the rotors, there was obvious damage from metal to metal contact, but none to the extent that the rotor would need replaced. I asked her to just resurface the rotor, and she said they could not do that because it would bring the thickness of the rotor down below acceptable tolerances. Like I said, these were brand new rotors with minimal damage on the inside only. I told her I did not have the money to replace the rotors and to just replace the brake pads like I originally asked. She seem to be annoyed by me at this point and so I went back into the waiting room. About another 15 minutes later, I noticed another customer came in needing his brakes fixed as well. They were speaking loud enough to where I could hear her, and she said, verbatim, the exact same things to him that she said to me about the pads and rotors. Almost like it was a script. I felt like they were trying to hustle me! After about an hour and a half of this, they brought me my keys, I paid, and left. You would think this annoyance would be over. And you would be wrong. About 8 o clock that night I got a text from them about setting up an account to receive updates and promotions! And gave me a link to click on so that I can go in and change my preferences for the text message that I just received! Everything that I was trying to avoid in the very beginning by not giving my email! Very disappointed, annoyed, disrespected, and not heard. Nothing good to say at this point.Service: Brakes

I ve had several issues with meineke regarding oil changes the last 3 times I have been there. The under panel was loose a couple times and had to fo back and have them fix it. Last week, had an appointment at 2pm and dropped it off. A couple hours later, it hadn t even been touched. My car was the last car to get done for a simple oil change. Don t plan on going back.Service: Oil change

Even though was only a free brake check, sarah the front desk lady was nice and helpful. The tecnician Who inspected the car was a nice guy and explained things well.. I absolutely love the way you take pictures of the work and what they are checking!!

I would be very careful about the recommendations that this company provides. I took my car in for an oil change and they told me my car with 34,000 miles needed to remove and replace a CV axil assembly for over $600 asap, the dealership still had a warranty on my car so I took it there instead and the dealership said it was not needed. I called the store manager 5 times in 2 weeks and I still haven t heard back from her, the district manager or the owner.

I brought my car in for an a/c issue. The Meineke team was pleasant to work with, informative, and fixed my car in a very timely manner. The problem wasn t as severe as they d originally told me, so the final bill was significantly less than originally estimated. I appreciate their work. Went to get my AC fixed. The people that helped me were very pleasant and very nice, they made sure to explain everything to me in a way I understood. The whole process of the estimate & the actual fixing process took two hours (which is was faster than I expected). I made an appointment for my S/O on 07/25 (24 hours in advance) for yesterday (07/26)at 3:30pm. On 07/26 we dropped his car off and they said it would be done by the end of the evening and they would call him once they finished. Around 5:30pm we called because they were closing at 6pm and we still hadn t heard anything. They told us that they hadn t even looked at it yet and that they would take care of it first thing in the morning the next day at 7:30am because his car was the only one left overnight . (The following day would be 07/27) Rightfully so, he was frustrated because they didn t communicate that to him until he called and they probably weren t planning on it either, but he just said okay and dealt with it. So this morning (07/27)he goes to get his car at 8:30am. They still hadn t even looked at it and told him it would be another hour and a half before they would even get to it. He had work at 10am. He called again right before he went into work around 9:50 and they claimed it would still be a bit before they got to it. We were finally able to pick up his car at 4pm. We booked an appointment for an oil change and an inspection and it took them 24 1/2 hours to even get to it. And when his mom went to pick up the keys, the receptionist was on a personal phone call and continued the phone call right in front of his mom and immediately started talking to the person as though they were a customer calling her cell phone. I MEAN IT S LAUGHABLE BECAUSE IT S ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. I ve never seen such awful communication and customer service. We are not pleased and we will not be returning to this location EVER.

Great service, friendly, and the mechanics are great! Came back after initial repairs for some splash shields that had to be put on and noticed the mechanic checking his previous work and making sure that I no longer had an oil leak. I wanted an oil change. I got tires, brakes, suspension and more checked. My car has 10,249 miles. I don't care about inspections, I just wanted an oil change. It took two hours. Should have been 20 minutes with my appointment.Service: Oil changeService: Oil change

This has to be one of the worst stores to do business with. Went in for brake work to be done and months later they don't want to own up to their warranty work. I was told that the parts were already defective and they put them on my car and took my money. Brakes and rotors are a safety issue and with the amount of traveling I do brakes are suppose to last and not be changed every 3 months. I even had another store near my house contact them and they didn't want to honor the warranty and release the invoice when they were asked to see all of what was done.. do not do business with this shop at all! Keep your money and get a person from off the street to do the work! Absolute shade tree and pathetic group of people for sure.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Brakes

If I could give zero stars I would. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE FOR ANY SERVICES! They will perform a service on your vehicle without fixing the original problem first. Paid $500 to find out I would need to pay $800 more to fix the real problem and then pay another $400+ to circle back to the first service. Owner is rude and sarcastic AND ADMITTED to his sarcasm, and unwilling to find a resolution to rectify the situation!Service: Auto A/C recharge

I came in for an oil leak they did a dye check.They weren't sure what the problem was so they asked me to come back within 150 miles. I drove it for more than 150 when I returned to the store. They didn't ask to do a second dye check. They said that my valve cover gaskets were over torqued and the covers were over cracked. They do not have a picture of my old valve covers.They gave my car back to me after the repair was done, my car was almost immediately undrivable, It had no oil on the dipstick. It had to be towed which took 4 hours and the driver didn't come until 11:00 at night. They asked me to spend more money on a code reader check after I already spent 1800 on the valve covers.A fuel pump failed sometime between when they had the car and they gave it back to me. They said it's not something they broke it just failed on its own. The oil tube that connects to my engine cover was broken. The bootstrap that covers the timing belt was not reattached.The owner would not refund me my money instead he asked me to come back into the shop so they can check it out, ultimately to just get more money from me. 2600 dollars later my car still has an oil leak.

Spent thousands over the last several years and am fairly happy with service. However, recently had truck towed in after failure to start. They replaced ignition switch and later removed after it failed to fix problem. Said I had to have towed to dealer. Dealer found animal ate wiring. When returned notice the after market navigation screen failed to light. Dealer said couldn't be them, because they didn t work on dash. Brought back to Meineke and found loose wire somewhere and it then worked. A few months later it went out again. We ignored for a while and it came back on. Later it went out again. This time I called and gentleman told me that they would have to charge me $150/hr (2 hours) to fix. I explained the issue. He said that all employees have been replaced and the only record they had of incident was my refusal to have ignition repaired and no one was left to verify what was said or done and if they took every customers word for what happened they would be out of business. So said they can keep their $300 estimate and I ll take my future business elsewhere.

Made an oil change appt for 12:30, they didn't get to it until after one. Then they didn't know how to put a manual trans car in reverse, so I had to back my own car out of the shop.

Had such a wonderful experience. Martel was a huge help and really worked with me. Showed me what was wrong with my car personally and even taught me a little bit on how to care for my car better. My service ended up taking a lot longer than expected and staff drove me home (as I had come off an overnight shift and hadn t slept and was now late for my next shift) and promptly dropped my car off about 30 minutes later. I will be back in a few weeks to finish repairs on my car!Services: Tire rotations, Brakes, Oil change
