Recently took my car in for a recall. I was able to set it up an appointment no problem at a convenient time. I dropped my car off the night before, got a quick video showing me the work they were doing. It was done on time with no problems at all.Stop by today and took the test drive in the new electric Subaru. Pretty cool car. It's a really nice car it's odd to drive an electric vehicle but it's certainly has some really good pickup in a surprisingly nice ride. A lot more Nimble than I expected.

McCarthy Subaru service center is amazing. I have used them several times on many different vehicles. The maintenance or repair is always done in a timely fashion. The pricing for all services is amazing, and their staff is easy to work with. McCarthy Subaru has a fantastic service department. The advisors and Service Manager are friendly and always willing to help out. They are able to get me in quickly for appointments and keep me updated when car is in shop. Great customer service and would definitely recommend this service center.

The staff at McCarthy Subaru Service was excellent! They were able to get my vehicle in quickly after I noticed some issues on the highway. Then they were able to work with me and my budget to get the necessary repairs done. I m from St Louis Mo and my daughter is a freshman at KU in Lawrence. Engine lights went haywire in her 2014 Subaru. I called McCarthy to let them know she was having problems. Talked to Kyle and he made space right away to diagnose. Arranged for a ride back to campus so she wouldn t miss class. Kyle called me with a detailed report on what was wrong and how to fix. It turned out to be a common problem that he was familiar with. Not good news but he was open and transparent throughout. He expedited parts and completed the repairs that afternoon. I received ongoing updates via text and he called when complete to walk me through everything. He went and picked up my daughter since the shuttle driver was off and washed her car when complete. Ridiculous level of service far exceeding my expectations. Thank you Kyle and team.Service: Transmission repair

Attendant was rather rude. $85 for oil change was highway robbery. They did not rotate my tires, even though they were purchased from "Briggs" I was told I would now be charged gor tire rotation. I disagreed asked that they rotate them for me as they were purchased there, not wasn't done. When I complained about the price of the oil change attendant said "welcome to the new world". Wrong thing to say to a customer. I now have a new mechanic. I'm so done with Subaru. When it was Briggs & Chad took care of me I felt like I was treated respectfully & courteously.Service: Oil change

This was my first visit to McCarthy Subaru and it was AWESOME!! They were prompt and on time. The service manager explained everything very well. He answered all of my questions. The video tour of my inspection was a great tool. I could see everything the technician checked on and he explained the condition of each area.They even washed my car when they were finished. Nobody does that much extra customer service anymore.While I was waiting, I overheard another customer that had purchased a vehicle elsewhere say she was coming back to get a new vehicle at McCarthy because she missed how well she was treated there. That made me feel really good about McCarthy Subaru.I will be back.Went back to have body side molding installed and the service did not disappoint. Prompt and on-time. Way to go McCarthy Subaru!!

Vehicle inspection video was not uploaded and I never received it. Shop manager was unable to do anything about this. Very expensive diagnostic work and the repair quotes were even more expensive. They listed a complementary car wash on my ticket. Car was obviously never washed as car was just as dirty when I picked it up. With no video proof that any other inspection work was actually done I am left to wonder if they did anything at all.Service: Vehicle Inspection

Bought a car at McCarthy's about 4 months ago that had new windshield wipers installed. On a trip back from Kansas City one of the newly installed wipers simply fell off. I went back to McCarthy's and explained what happened and was delighted when they replace not just the one that fell off, but both wipers. Service was good. Just an oil change and filter replacement. Overpriced. Now that my car is passed its service warranty, I will be doing my own oil changes. Had to pay a surprise $3.99 for data storage . Thank you for adding onto the constant nickel and diming that we re faced with everyday. I was too tired to argue such a bs charge.Service: Oil change

I was very impressed with this dealer experience. Got me in in 1 day-clearly described what they would do diagnosticly including price of same. Found a leak at the high side compressor interface and replaced an o ring that was leaking-no charge for the fix over and above the diagnostic quote. I was out the door about 2 hours after checkin. Great service, great experience!I came in to get my fob key replaced, as well as get an existing key re-programmed (I was offered key replacement insurance when I bought my car, and boy am I already glad to have it).Brooke, the technician, was great - I could tell right away she really knows her stuff, and thrives in the laid-back atmosphere at McCarthy.After a quick, easy meeting with Brooke, an hour later I had my defective key fixed, plus one brand new key! No hassles with bureaucratic paperwork; I was good to go. It s a testament to the laid-back atmosphere, and the happy employees at McCarthy who are given the freedom to do a great job, with minimal hassle.Also, a shout out to Jarrell Schroeder, who sold me my Crosstrek in 2017, and answered my initial questions about how to get my keys replaced. He was accessible and helpful and friendly, just as he has always been over the years when I ve come in with questions about my car.Way to go team McCarthy Subaru!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Overall everything was great. However there s a couple of concerns. The first one is statements on the inspection record in which are inaccurate. The second one is the potential to affect future maintenance. Now for the good and ahead of the curve in dealership administration. The videos of the vehicle are excellent and very useful. The iService is phenomenal and the best I ve seen. I used every phase of this service. Next, service advisor Kyle is awesome and an asset to the dealership. His technical knowledge is far superior to most in the business. I will request Kyle every time in the future. The service department was very good but service when you came to pick up the car Wes a bit slow. It seemed like no one let my service person know I was there. There was an advertisement for an upgrade trade in program and they referred me to a sales person who was not enthusiastic nor really very interested in talking to me seriously about trading my 2018 Outback w/less that 50,000 miles for a knew one. I had issues with my Subaru. I called and was put in contact with Kyle. When I took my car in, I had no idea what the problems were. He and his team of techs worked efficiently and thoroughly to figure out what my issues were, and how to do it cost effectively. I was given constant updates on how the car was, and easy to understand explanations of what was happening internally. Everybody was nice but they didn t listen to what I wanted. I do acquiesce that they are professionals and I am not when it comes to automotive repair but it was just a real common sense thing I asked them to do: check and replace the fuse and relay FIRST before making me commit to replacing a $720 air pump assembly ($1359 after labor). I tried to select the things I wanted them to focus on via the estimate email they send (nice feature) and they called right back and said no, we won t do that. Slimmers Automotive got the whole thing fixed for $300, not the $2500 estimate McCarthy gave. The whole thing felt like a huge, corporate FU to the little guy (me). I highly recommend Slimmers as an auto shop that will work with you and puts fixing your car at a reasonable rate ahead of padding their profits selling you products and labor that you might not need.Services: Electrical repair, Electrical

Definitely recommend for anyone looking for service on a STI. Easy to work with. Understands these vehicles very well and usually keeps you updated on what s going on. They can work on communication a bit between employees and explanations to customers. Also, timely repairs. We were able to get a same day appointment and the service was completed under the predicted timeframe. The first thing I'd like to comment on was the excellent friendliness and professionalism I experienced throughout my repair. The serpentine belt on my 2014 Subaru BRZ failed on the way home from work. I had the car towed to their location and gave them info on who was delivering and the approximate eta. They called me to let me know they had the car and would start on it as soon as they could. They also sent me a link to see updates on my repair or communicate with the technician working on it. Important to note that they also sent me an inspection video, narrated by the person who did the walk around /diagnosis. I reached back out to them approving the work called out in the video. There were some other minor things they recommended getting done. It was not a laundry list of every little thing and were all important so gave the greenlight but asked to let me know if they found anything else and obtain my approval on those before fixing. The Parts came in and car was repaired on time and for what was quoted. When they heard I was actually in the hospital after the car had been dropped off (unrelated to my car) they expressed their personal concerns via text and shared what felt like Were sincere well-wishes.Overall the experience was flawless and I will use them for any work or service on my car. They helped reduce the stress of a very stressful week and I really appreciate it. Top notch service and used technology in communications, all matched with well experienced and friendly personnel!Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Wheel alignment, Brakes

Booked appointment online the night prior, and was greeted by associate upon arrival and reviewed all details of the scheduled service. Oil change and tire rotation was completed in a timely manner and I was able to wait with my dog in their lobby. Very professional and courteous. Service was a recall replacement of an electronic rear lift gate module. Was going toleave the vehicle to pick up later, but they were able to get it in and do it while I waited. Only took approximately 30 min.total. That was excellent. Saved a trip back. Great service so far!

I took my car in for just an oil change but then they came back with several other things that needed to be fixed. Rightly so, the cabin and engine filters needed to be changed, but I felt it was extremely over priced for the work it would take. I did not have them change the filters because I purchased $34 worth of parts and I changed them both in less than five minutes. Their quote was nearly $110 for both filters. We love McCarthy Subaru!!! Kyle in the service department, and his team, will take care of you like family. He always is up front with his recommendations, an estimate for service and what he thinks is best for the longevity of the vehicle. He understands how the Midwest weather extremes (humid, hot summers and cold, dry winters) affect how your Subaru runs and what to do to ensure your Subaru will be on the road for a long time. The technicians on the team are great and recently we got to watch our technician look under the hood, at the brake pads, rotors etc with the iService video that they used to film the inspection and then they send you a link to be able to view it. They also use text reminders and phone call reminders for appointments and are really easy to work with as far as scheduling.Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Oil change

Was a fantastic experience working with Kyle... he truly listened to my needs and formulated a plan to solve my challenge that was of mutual benefit to both myself and the business.I would highly recommend taking the time to talk to Kyle in person. Service = bearings bad. Mccarthy Subaru is all about sales and money. It used to be the service shop was low key, knew you and your vehicle when you came in for service. I appreciated that very much- personal touch. Now it's all about you need this and this, etc. The guy didn't even look that my oil change isn't due for another 3000 miles or that I bought my tires there and have free rotation. One time I came in and he wanted to charge me for it. Yes I need a 90000 mile check up, but several of those things I don't need done. Lost confidence in this business.
