Honest service. I thought my brakes were going to have to be replaced, including possibly the rotars due to squeaky braking. They quoted a worse case scenario of around $1000, but upon taking it in and after inspection, they concluded the brakes were fairly new and just needed some cleaning. The total cost was $180. I appreciate the very friendly customer service and the honest approach to repair.

They have done good work on my Ford Edge a couple of times. They are currently my go-to place. Friendly staff and they do good at explaining what's going on and will get your approval before moving forward with repairs. Depending on your issue, the turn around can be same day or next day. I'm happy with their services.

My daughter Is a student at KU and when her car broke down I was very apprehensive about mechanics who take advantage of college students. However, the people here were so helpful and went way beyond expectations to help us work through what to do with the car. They are very honest and extremely helpful, I highly recommend them!

I called them to see if they could go check my daughter's car out because I live in Texas (15 hrs away) and she is going to college up there. They told me there was nothing they could do because it was off their property. And then gave me a number to someone that was no longer in business and it wasn't even a good number anymore.

Had an appointment scheduled, showed up on the day and they had no record of my appointment. Some accommodations were attempted, but price was also quoted higher the when I scheduled. Won't be trying this place again.

AC quit working in our car. They told us it had a leak and can fix it for 500 dollars. Next day still not working they said for 1200 more dollars they can clean blockage with a 3 year warranty. Next hot day AC not working we were told no warranty cuz something else needs replacing, Was told they can fix it now for 2900 dollars. So we are out 1700 dollars. They should be called Lawrence Automotive Parts Changers. In my opinion Diagnostics shouldn't be in their name.

Paid north of $400 for these folks to do nothing at all.Subaru needed some attention for multiple minor issues; headlight replacement/alignment, belt issue(s)....Guess what? The car still has a burned out bulb and squeaks and murmurs when I accelerate.Thanks for nothing. worthless.

I have had my cars regularly serviced with Danny and the boys for the last 15-20 years. They are consistently professional and thorough, often doing more that required. It's a bit like having a family member as my own personal mechanic. I recommend them without hesitation. Be aware that Lawrence Automotive Diagnostic does not do an actual live feed vehicle system diagnostic for your vehicle. I asked specifically if they would do a diagnostic and scan the computer, they said, oh yes but didn't actually do a proper diagnostic. They did a visual point inspection which was not really what I wanted and was charged for it. When questioned about why they didn't do a full scan, they said they couldn t do one if the check engine light is not on. So as a diagnostic company, they fail when doing diagnostics. Its 2023, there is equipment available even to retailers (I can buy a live feed scanner on amazon) for scanning live feeds for a multitude of systems in one s vehicle to see any abnormalities. They seem to only have code readers which is ridiculous this day and age for a diagnostic shop to not have better equipment (OBD - On Board Diagnostics were first introduced in the 1960s and OBD-II was introduced in the 90s). I ll never take another vehicle to them again.

Outrageous price !! Extremely Disappointed with Lawrence Automotive Diagnostics..I want to share a similar experience that I read in reviews. I took appointment over phone for AC check and filling freon and was given a quote for a certain price range depending on the model of car. Got a call from LAD in between fixing just to tell its low on freon but was not told what's going on and how much is going to cost to fix. When I went to pickup was given a bill way MORE then I was quoted before.Not happy at all and would not recommend this place.Service: Air conditioning

My 2010 Jeep Wrangler s automatic transmission gave out near the end of the school semester. LAD gave me an appointment and told me it would be around $180 for the diagnostic, which I was fine with (though kind of steep). I did have to call to check on the progress of my vehicle a few times, and when they did give me a quote, it was nearly $10k for a new transmission. On a 2010 Jeep. If memory serves correctly, it was about $9,800. The mechanic (or owner?) I spoke to about the prices seemed annoyed that I had questions about the cost. I was told about 7500 of that 9800 would be for the transmission itself. I tried my absolute hardest and could not find a transmission for my vehicle that would be even close to that price. I asked if there were options for a rebuilt transmission or to rebuild my existing one, and was curtly told no. I absolutely believe that the fact that I am a college-aged woman may have factored into them trying to take advantage of me. When I picked up my vehicle, the lady at the front was very nice and made conversation. For the most part, everyone I spoke to (aside from the person I questioned about cost) was kind. I took my vehicle to ATSI where I was quoted (and had it repaired for) less than $5k. This included a 2 year, 100k mile warranty.Never in my life have I heard of a 10k transmission replacement on a Jeep Wrangler. Every single person I ve told about this pricing has been absolutely stunned - even other mechanics.Services: Transmission, Vehicle Inspection, Transmission replacement

I took my car in for the first time for an oil change, brake service, and a tire rotation. The staff was very professional and treated me like a person, which I appreciated a lot given my past experiences with mechanics. Oil change and tire service were fine, but my brakes were worse when I picked my car up than when I brought my car in. Not very thorough diagnostics, I ended up getting my brakes re-fixed somewhere else.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto brake repair, Oil change

The staff here are great at communicating and clarifying matters. They won t do any work in the car that isn t authorized by the client.
