Chris, Jordan, and Jesse were incredibly kind and helpful in getting us out-of-towers back on the road after breaking down. We had a unique vehicle and they were able to diagnose it and fix the problem within a few hours. This proved their expertise. They treated us like family and I would highly recommend going to them with your auto needs.

Came in unannounced asking if the shop had time to repair a flat Firestone tire. When the service tech "sure, give me your keys", I assumed that meant that the work would start within 5 minutes. He immediately pulled the car into the first bay and then...nothing happened on it for 25 minutes until I asked McKinley about it.I did appreciate McK showing that the flat was irreparable and he kept the tire replacement process going till completion.Expectations for service was different on both sides. For me as a customer, all it would have taken is for the tech to say "we are busy, but will get to it in 30 minutes".

I've been a Firestone customer for decades. Recently I took my grandson, who just got his 1st car, there for some repairs on his car. They finished quickly, did a great job & applied all discounts & coupons like they always do with me. They also took time to explain what he needs to do to maintain his car properly.

I wouldn t recommend this store by anyone for any service. The way the store is run is unprofessional. I ve made appointment for lifetime services from products purchased from other Firestone. The appointment keeps being changed and resent email confirmation. This is after I have already spoken on phone and canceled my appointment. After the fact they tend to answer the phone without any greeting and immediately put you on hold. Not even knowing if you called the right business. After that and telling them the issues with the upfront customer service, they are still using my missed appointment. They are using it as a filler on the schedule so they don t have to take other work knowing I won t be there. When you keep receiving email confirmation about time changes. They don t call and tell you either about any of your changes. They automatically do it on computer and that s good enough service over there.I ve mentioned this to other stores now, as I m having to drive further distance to have my vehicle worked on by Firestone in order to have my services completed. I will have to go out of my way to make my warranty products even available.DO NOT use this Firestone. Go anywhere else in Lawrence for your automotive needs. Sucks that my nationwide protection has to be used other than where I tend to spend a lot of my time.Again go somehow else in Lawrence, KS!

Took my car in for a simple oil change apportionment at 9am and didn't get my car back until 6pm. The 16 yo looking guy behind the counter then proceeded to mansplain oil changes and how appointment work. Don't recommend.

While looking for coupons to save money for oil change services saw that it was advertised for $29.99 and called to see the best way to set the service up, appointment or walk in. Was told new cars are NOT eligible, which is not addressed in the fine print of the coupon online. This shop will not honor coupons as advertised online. Don't set up an appointment and expect them to honor your coupons because they will bait and switch you for much more than what their sponsored coupons advertise with no reasoning from the fine print as advertised. They are a total bait and switch

I see there is an email we are told to go to for complaints. this is what I sent yesterday, and have not had a reply. We had a car worked on and applied for the Firestone card to cover the bill, and I thought there was a sign out front that said 10% discount while opening an account, but when I paid the invoice, it was for the full amount $2032.08.The gentleman at the counter said that he forgot to apply the discount but that it would be taken care of the next day when the business manager got there. Said I didnt even need to call- he would put a post-it note on the application before I even received a bill.A month later we get the bill and we were billed the full amount. I called today, and was told the discount is only 5%. I was then told it would only be $88 I would get back, as though that were not enough of an amount to deal with. Then I was told I needed to provide my zip code and social security number over the phone to refund it to my card. Or I could drive in to Lawrence from Overland Park to get the money.$88 does not seem like much to some. It does to a college kid. I did not make the mistake so I am not sure why I need to drive 40 minutes to get a solution or give my social security number. Please let me know there is a way to handle this that does not make me out to the be the bad guy, but just someone who pays what we were told to pay. Thanks!

Went in for a oil change. They charged $123.29, for the oil alone total of $166.92.Oil was 90.99 for first 5 quarts. And $32.30 for next 1.9 quarts. I was told they charge by the tenth of a quart for everything over 5 quarts.

My brakes were failing so I had my car towed here. Firestone said there was nothing wrong with it. As soon as I drove it I immediately noticed that the issue wasn't resolved but they didn't know what to tell me. I took it to Meineke and they found that my front and back brakes were done for - the back brakes were falling apart. It's pretty scary that I could have continued driving a car that was unsafe to drive but the Firestone technicians couldn't figure that out.Edit: I did contact customer support and did hear from the manager. I greatly appreciate him apologizing for the incident, and I am glad that the team discussed what happened and will work on communication.

I ve been going to my home state (CA) Firestone for oil changes and repairs for years and my oil change has never costed more that $45-50. After moving here I ve taken my car to this location for an oil change and they charged me double the price for an oil change. Not only that but they pulled my car too far over the cement parking block in the parking lot so when I reversed out to leave it snagged and pulled my bumper partially off.My partner also tried coming here for an oil change and some other minor things and they wanted to charge him $500 for the oil change, a light bulb replacement, and to charge his AC!! An absolute rip off. He s gotten an oil change, full inspection, tire rotation, and new brakes for about $200 at the previous Firestone. Not to mention both of us experienced very long wait times for our simple car services, both of us had to pick up our cars the next day after they had scheduled us in for early morning appointments. That s insanely inconvenient, especially for an oil change.Wanted to leave this honest review so that other people don t get ripped off by this place, seriously take your vehicle somewhere else. There s many other competing places that offer oil changes and services at far less the price. Your earned dollar matters, especially in this economy. The one thing I will say is that there is one nice older gentleman who works there and although we both were frustrated with our experiences he was pleasant and tried to be helpful.Services: Air conditioning, Oil change

This place charged me $140 for an oil change and made me wait for two hours. I have a Volkswagen so I do need synthetic oil but $140 is just absolutely messed up. I tried to talk to them about how this made no sense but they just kept telling me I need special oil and that thats really expensive. How come I normally only pay $70 at different places? I wanted to look up oil prices or look for a coupon but my phone was dead from being there so long. I left this place crying since I'm a broke college kid and I was completely taken advantage of and treated as if I was stupid when I politely told them the pricing made no sense. Come here if you want to be scammed :)

Don't trust Firestone. They want every panny in your pocket. I have oil pressure light flashed and they told me my car's oil is completely dry. Rediculous right Also trying let me replace sensor which is nothing to do with oil pressure. Never trust Firestone unless you want to get robbed.

This location goes above and beyond to make sure our vehicles are running good and let us know of any service issues that should be addressed.

We made an appointment to take 2 cars for oil changes at 1:00 today. When making the appointment, we told them we would be waiting for the cars. When we arrived, they looked at us like we were crazy...2 cars? That'll be at least THREE HOURS. We then asked how long it would be if we only had the oil changed in one of the cars...it was still going to be nearly 2 hours! Why did we bother to make an appointment? An oil change doesn't take TWO HOURS! Needless to say, we left without an oil change today.

By far the most expensive oil change/tire rotation I ve ever paid for ($120). I definitely felt ripped off, and on top of that the next one was suggested at 3,800 mi as opposed to the 5,000 mi I m used to when bringing it into the dealership. I d rather use 2 hours of PTO, spend two hours driving, and wait at Anderson Kia in St. Joseph for an hour in order to pay half the price and never have to go here again.Services: Tires, Oil change

I scheduled an oil change and inspection which included tire rotation at Firestone in Lawrence of Iowa St. The first thing they told me was I needed new front tires because the threads were worn out and it was better to get all four of them which would have cost me over $900 (with discount) before they had even gotten it in the shop. When I said no, they refused to do the tire rotation because they said it would do me no good. I specifically asked the person at the counter twice and they wouldn't do it for me. So basically I paid for the service but didn't get it because I refuse to pay for new tires.

I want to talk about a really painful situation I was a victim of, on February 11 of 2023. I just moved to Lawrence, and i felt like i could only trust a big company. Firestone did a check on my car and found some issues I should fix. The total cost was close to $1000. One of the issues was a leaking power steering line, which was going to cost close to $400. I check my car's fluids monthly. So I went home and took a look at my power steering fluid line. The clamp was pulled back, and fluid was everywhere. I put new fluid in, property placed the hose clamp, and saved myself $400. I say victim because I feel like one of the techs did this on purpose.I am now still seeking someone I can trust to work on my car.P.s. The guy at the front desk Chris, great guy! Really made my day. He deserves 5 starts.

Went in for an oil change, rotate and balance. Guess they forgot the balance part. Would be one star but they fixed it for free after we pointed out we had been there within the last two weeks for the work so 2 stars.Kinda makes you question the quality of work for a tire place when they don t balance the tiresServices: Tires, Oil change

God bless these kind mechanics. I came in with a shredded tire off the highway last week and they repaired my car within hours after I followed up with them when they got in the rest of the tire set to replace mine! Jesse is the one who picked up today on the fact that my battery was just giving out on me (in less than a week after my tire incident) and was in pretty bad shape . I would credit these men to me being able to safely drive on the roads again, I went in blind as a bat to the issues my car had and they made me feel so much better. They even replaced the battery with a much stronger and better battery! Thank you so much for staying open late to fix my car and getting me in on such short notice! Y all rock!Services: Wheel alignment, Battery

Wish I could give less than a 1 star - took my car in for a check engine light - quoted over $800 to fix a purge valve - this is also with their $100 diagnostic, which they would not waive if I did the work with them - picked up my car and found out they were going to charge me $475.99 for the part alone - FORD will charge me around $340 TOTAL for parts AND labor! This is absolutely insane! To say they are ripping people off is an understatement! So disappointed and would never recommend this place to anyone!

I visited this store with a warranty issue. Steve Figuieras, store manager, wasn't able to provide a direct solution but he gave me great advice on how to deal with my problem. Worked out well. He's been in the business a while and has excellent industry knowledge as well as great customer care skills. Seems to be a real straight shooter. Older consumers should take note because I think he will look after your best interests.

Horrible place. I took my civic here to get a oil change. After I got it done I noticed oil leaking in my driveway. Got under my car and realized they didn't even put my drain plug in all the way. Leaking oil all over my brand new car

My car s oil light came on while driving on the interstate, so I called this shop for help. When I arrived, they checked my levels and added oil for no charge. The staff is very kind and gave me really good advice on my car.

Once again I am very satisfied with the service and dependable technicians that Firestone provides their customers.I have used Firestone since 2017 all the way from Texas, Florida up the East Coast to Maine, New Hampshire and now in Lawrence Kansas. Always have treated me with utmost quality care.

Took my car in as soon as they opened for an alignment. I just bought two tires Thursday and they tried to tell me they could not align my vehicle because there was wire showing. There is no wire showing and they wasted my entire day and now I have to drive to work with my unsafe car. Thank you Firestone for thinking I am a female and I will just fork over $400 for new tires. Going to d&d tire because they re honest and respectful to women.

Came in at 1 p.m. to do a tire balance. Got a call at about 2 p.m. explaining they recommended new tires. I notified them I would not be doing that today and asked them how much longer it would take on my tire balance. Considering I was waiting outside in 80 degree weather I was hoping a 30 minute job would not take 2 hours. Upon arrival, I was taken to my vehicle and explained that my back tires were bald and there was a "concern for my safety". In fact, I do know what a bald tire looks and feels like. My tires will need changed soon, not that soon. Then I was told that my vehicle had an oil change, rotation, and balance. I was ONLY there for a balance. Then, I was notified they did absolutely no service on my vehicle, due to two "bald" tires. Ok, so the tires that weren't bald, could have been balanced, easily. I waited for 2 hours in the heat for absolutely nothing. Never coming back here again.

I I should have read the reviews prior to scheduling. Made a 1pm appt for an oil change. Let them know the brakes and tires were new 5k ago but had noticed some pulsing when braking. Fairly routine appt. Having worked in a dealership for 4yrs in prior years the response prompted me to get my keys and go. He did not consult a time(which is fine). So I asked if had an approximate wait time. The reply was, "We close at 6..." I contemplated not leaving a review b/c there are so many bad ones that clearly have made no difference. I didn't leave 1 star b/c they gave my keys back when I asked without hesitation at 1:40pm. Car still untouched for an oil change.
