Love the place never had an issue. But i think 50 dollars to mount and balance a carry in wheel and tire is a little on the top end of every place in town. Again the place is great but if this is what there going to charge for 10 min worth of work. And yes my tire is a basic 17 inch tire nothing special. Thanks for the great work but can't afford you anymore 4 tires would of cost me 200 that's crazy

After getting yanked around by Laird Noller Ford, I was referred to D & D by an auto parts store. Ford wanted $292 to replace swollen lug nuts. Plus they didn t rotate my tires. It cost $159 for an oil change and 2 wiper blades. D & D did it all for $100 and rotation was free. They will be my go to place for oil change etc from now on. Thank you for helping me!!

Got some new tires. They said my pads were worn but I said I'd change then myself. Now I get wobbles when I break. They don't want to take responsibility for whatever damage they caused but want to blame my rotors. Now some dude on the phone tells me your supposed to change your rotors every time you change your brake pads. Well bud not only have I not replaced the pads yet, though I planned to very soon, that is an absolute crock. So beware them breaking your car to get more repairs out of you. Just another scandalous repair shop. Terrible customer service and not knowledgeable in anything that isn't rubber. Pathetic

Polite guys and quick service. When I called late morning they said my tire would be patched closer to 5 but they were done before 2! Would recommend.

What a nice bunch of folks! Great prices and great service! Had a appointment got there a few minutes early. They took my vehicle right in and 4 new tires mounted and balanced and done in a hour!!! Highly recommend these people for your tire needs! Thank you, Mr Phil and your staff!

Excellent Service! I had 4 new tires installed, mounted, balanced, and aligned. They were quick and reasonable. They even replaced my rear brake pads were about gone, the dealership didn't notice these the week before. I will be returning to D & D!

Great experience with these folks. Everyone is super friendly and professional. I had an emergency situation and they got me right in on two separate occasions. Jason is a treasure! He took excellent care of my car, and it was no easy job, and he took the time to explain everything to me - with visuals. Very reasonable prices. Comfortable waiting room, fast wifi, and clean bathroom. It's easy to see why D&D Tire has been around for so long.

really professional! I went to other ford dealer and been told to change all set of front pad and rotor will cost nearly $700 but D&D just find out the real problem of my break and I end up just spend $110. They will definitely take care of your car too!

Phil, Jim, and Jason are the most knowledgeable, honest, and trustworthy guys in town. It's the only shop my dad went to and now it's the only shop I go to. 50+ years in business says it all.

They were really good to us. My kids and I were, blessed! The guys up at D&D Tire has been taking care of my family for over 40 years. They really care about there customers and are friendly. Highly recommended and honest people! Thank you, so much!!

These guys rock! I had a flat in my tractor tire. I haven't had to deal with this before, but knew the standard automotive tire chains weren't really equipped to deal with such a large tire.D&D did a great job of getting it sorted out for me, quickly and for a reasonable price. I'll certainly consider taking my other vehicles to them in the future for tire service and replacement.

I m bringing my truck in for new tires this week (usual great service, usual great price) and was just reminded I meant to say a huge thanks for the way D&D went above and beyond last summer. We were heading to Lake of the Ozarks, and on the spur of the moment, at the very last minute, bought a little fishing boat with an old trailer, then realized there was no way we could trust that trailer on the road. D&D squeezed us in the morning we were leaving, and the mechanic (wish I remember his name!) did some very impressive outside-the-box thinking, replacing the tires and one of the hubs and then turning the old shot hub into a serviceable spare. He also inspected the trailer and assured me it seemed structurally sound. Off we went that afternoon!

Employee Jason has great customer service and made me feel like he really cared about my car and my oil leak worry. He helped diagnose, but also went out of his way to check my car s oil level after my appointment was over and also to fill my car up with oil. He was great and the owner is lucky to have him on site.

Quick, honest, dependable service and perfectly reasonable rates, especially for being downtown. I got an alignment here and they gave me a sweet readout of the before and after of my wheels alignment variables which, perhaps is standard and I m just a country bumpkin, but this place has good vibes

Great experience with D&D! Honest, helpful AND QUICK. Had to deal with a ruined tire on just a bad day. D&D was helpful beyond expectation and even gave me a quick ride to pick up vehicle. Professional, helpful and friendly with every aspect. Definitely recommend and will personally use again. They obviously believe in customer service!

Best tire service I know in town.. I just found it and the selection was good and the prices were great, and Jim at the counter couldn't be better especially in the hectic crazy world you can see he lives in handling constant phone calls, customer requests, and staff activity. Didn't have the tire I needed in stock and had it delivered that afternoon and installed before the end of the day. Pretty cool.

They had a used tire for the spare on our truck and were able to mount and balance it for us quickly and at a very fair price! Highly recommend, and will be back in the future for all our tire needs!

We came from Wichita KS when we got a flat tire leaving our hotel. We were on a time constraint and picked the closest repair shop/best reviewed. They got us in right away, tried to fix the hole but was unrepairable, puta new tire on, found the lug bolts were stripped from tow service putting the spare on too tight, went out of their way to pick up new parts and we were out of there in less than 2 hours. Very friendly and accommodating.

I've been using these guys for years. They have great service and fair prices. An added bonus of being in downtown Lawrence you can drop your car off go for a nice walk down Mass then come back and pick it up when you're done.

I have been using D & D for 13 years. They are a very busy place and it is hectic in there at times, but my experience with customer service (Jim) has always been very good. They have worked to accommodate me in a time of family emergency and also work to meet deadlines when they tell you that your car will be ready. I have bought two sets of tires from them and their prices are competitive with the other local tire stores. They do not tack on hidden fees and charges as do the other local stores...they tell you exactly what the total is going to be. My suggestion is that when you need something worked on you get it there by 7:15am if at all possible. They will do their best to help you out and get you on your way.

I came in about an hour from closing with a leak in my tire. They had time to take my car as a walk in and were able to get the issue taken care of in 10 minutes (turns out my valve stem was lose and leaking air). I had come in expecting and asking to buy new tires since I thought that my tread was worn too far and it would be easier to replace them than to fix the leak but the guy that helped me said they were fine and that I should just repair them. I really appreciated their honesty when they could have easily taken advantage of my naivete.I really appreciate their help and I'm going to get the tires that are starting to bald on my other car replaced here since I was very impressed with how they treated me and my car.

D and D is the only place to go for tires. They are honest, do great work, get you in and out fast. They only sell the best grade of tires. Don t save $5 a tire and go to Walmart for the cheaper grade. I ve been a customer for 15 years, own several cars and have been there more times than I can count. They make sure you get your moneys worth out of every set with free rotations and proper mounting and balance each time. Head and shoulders above their competitors.

Awesome service, walked in with a flat at 8am and got my tire patched and rolling by 10am! Love these guys, honest solid work at great pricing, definitely won't go anywhere else!

Although this shop is a little more expensive, they are way more convenient than some alternatives. They also are not pushy so you can trust them when they say they can't repair something. They were fairly accurate on their estimated completion time as they called before the stated time to give me a quote on the final price.

I had a flat on a weekday morning. Bad start to a day for sure, I was able to get home, and I called around and landed on D&D. They opened at 730 and are an independent local shop, so I figured I would give them some business.I should have stopped after the phone call, they were short and unfriendly, but I didn't. I went there, they said it would be about an hour, but I was happy when I saw it getting worked in about 30 instead.40 minutes later, I was told it was a rebuild kit on my TPM that was leaking, $8 for that and labor, $25 total, I was happy.The next day, the tire was flat again!Took it to Discount Tire, they met me at the door with a smile, found the nail in the tire that D&D couldn't. Fixed it up right.I would like to have my $25 back. But mainly my time.Don't waste yours.

I don't know what's going on with this rating system but I've rated D&D as Excellent - Quality, Very Good - Appeal and Excellent - Service. Didn't come out that when when I originally posted the review!The people, management and installers, were extremely helpful and friendly.The ONLY place I've found selling 8.00x16.5 tires for my Motor Home.Mounted and balanced in quick time by helpful personnel.I downgraded the Appeal rating only due to the tires on display in the showroom area - they fill it up! Women may not appreciate the appearance.

I had a very bad experience at D&D tire. I have been a loyal customer for the 16 years we've lived in Lawrence. I recently purchased four Michelin tires which were expensive. On Wednesday October 17 I was driving to the airport and realized one of my tires was low on air. I immediately pulled off the road at the nearest exit and there happened to be a fire station nearby. I stopped at the fire station as I knew they would have an air station. They filled the tire and it exploded due to being over heated. I called D&D and was told that someone would look at the defective tire and determine whether it would qualify under the tire warranty or if they could give me a "good will" discount on a new tire. Jim at D&D told me to leave the tire and he would get back to me with his findings. After not hearing from anyone, I called and found out that the replacement tire was already mounted without any cost adjustment. I specifically asked to be called with their findings. It's disappointing when a small local business doesn't stand behind their products or take care of their most loyal customers. I will never again do business with D&D tire and will go out of my way to not recommend them to my friends, family members and colleagues. There are other better alternatives.

Came from Topeka and arrived in Lawrence with a flat tire. They were all booked for the day, but since I had to leave and go back to Topeka they insisted on fixing my tire. Amazing staff! All so kind and thoughtful.
